Cons: Cable length is an issue making cable management or reaching something further away harder or impossible to do.Cables are not sleeved. Not modular.

Pros: Quiet.Runs cool.
Comment:
Have this in a home media server just powering a bunch of hard drives for streaming media. In that Antec 300 case is a Gigabyte motherboard with a Core 2 Quad Q6600, 6 hard drives, 8600gts, and a few fans powered by this PSU. It runs it no problem, it's been going strong for 2 years on 24/7. The PSU is quiet, and it runs very cool, although the system is never stressed, after all it's just a media server. The only real issue I have with this PSU is, the Antec 300 is not a big case at all, if you where to open the case it's just a mess of wires and it's due to them being so short. You can't hide them or route them and there all there blocking air flow and it's just awful looking. What makes it worse is the cables are not sleeved and it makes it look like an even bigger mess. Other then those 2 cons, the PSU works really really well. I don't think I would buy one again for my Antec 300 case due to the cables but if I had a smaller case I would reconsider. I give it 4 stars due to it performing like it should, but I would only buy it again for small cases. This review was modfied by poster @ 09-17-12 09:55 PM

Cons: Did not line up case screw holes, 20+4 and 4+4 ATX power pins do not snap together well.

Pros: Cables not too stiff and long enough for most purposes.
Comment:
If there are no other power supplies on sale, and you need something with no frills or fancy features then this one will do the job. It seems reliable enough, alhough I won't trust it to live long beyond its shelf life. My only complaints are that it did not line up with the screw holes in the case and 20+4 and 4+4 power pins do not snap together well.

Cons: - None for the price

Pros: - Cheap- Silent- Good enough performance
Comment:
Bought this PSU for a budget build and it is pretty satisfactory. The mesh design is a nice touch as it improves airflow and the 120mm fan is pretty silent. Cables were also long enough. Recommended for a basic/budget build, especially when it's on sale.

Cons: Can't remove fan

Pros: Works, Quiet, Works
Comment:
I was hoping I would be able to remove the fan on this so I can replace it with an artic cooling one. Unfortunately the connectors are attached straight to the board. I mean I guess I could still do it if I wanted to sodder them on, but I don't really want to go through the trouble. The stock fan is quiet and keeps it cool which is great. The fan stopped working for a few hours randomly, So that was a concern.

Cons: short cables.cables aren't sleeved (well it's obvious from the pics and budget, but still it's a little bit of weakness, i had to manually sleave the cables)

Pros: cheap/reliable/well cooled
Comment:
great budget PSU, seems quite stable thus far, been running 24/7 for the last week with no probs. NOT SUITABLE FOR A FULL TOWER CASE WITH CABLE MANAGEMENT!I have the Antec 300(obviously mid tower), and even found the cables too short! If the fan is facing the interior of your case, all of the cables are positioned 3inches away from the mobo mounting piece. This caused me endless frustration as even after i modified the case to incorporate cabling holes, they were too short to even use the bloody things. However, if you have a case which has a vent at the bottom so that the PSU fan is facing down, you 'may' have enough room for at least the 24pin to reach the mobo (the mobo is standard ATX size).IMO, budget builds using a 400W PSU are usually built in a mid tower case and if you're spending less than $40 on a PSU chances are your case doesn't have cable management as it's cheap too so beware!Bottom line: great bang for buck, best suited for cases which have a bottom vent

Cons: none

Pros: quiet, affordable
Comment:
It works great for basic computers i build for my business, it has enough power to run the dual core basic systems and it's quiet, I tested the power output and it's in good range.12v is 12.2v the 5v is 5.3v and the 3.3 is 3.34v under full load so this power supply will last 4 years if it's running everyday. i recommend this for any basic systems, not for gaming systems due to low wattage.

A week ago, my six year old PC was not starting. Only the blue LED power light turns on. I was guessing it was the PSU not the mobo. I installed this and now it has given a new lease of life to my old PC. It is now a media streamer for my HDTV inside our bedroom

Not a bad little power supply for a budget build. I used it in a simple dual-core system. So far it's working well enough. Though I recently had two other Coolermaster PSUs die on me before their time, so I'm holding my breath on this one.

Cons: The wires were a little to short

Pros: It works and has a good weight to it.
Comment:
I learned my lesson to never buy from tiger direct. This one only took 50 hours from the point of purchase to delivery vs. 12 days. Also this one does not sound like it is about to explode when you turn it on. And weighs more than 1/2 lb with 1mm wires. For $5 more get the coolermaster elite. instead of coolmax

Pros: Cheapworks
Comment:
Very cheap PSU. Good if you're trying to build a cheap budget low end computer. The fan does get quite loud when you load it up though. Not sure if the power this is outputting stable or not so you probably don't want to load it up too much

This PSU is cheap and does it's job. Using it with a 65W E3300, and works fine. I would not suggest this for any type of gaming computer as the 12V rail only has something like 285 Watts.

don't know if its my motherboard or the PSU, but when paired with the gigabyte ga-ma785gm-us2h, it would not boot when connected 24/8, and only booted when I connected it to 20/4.

Bought this to power an Athlon II x4 and a Radeon 4670. It works perfectly and remains totally silent. I would recommend this for people who are on a budget and want to power a simply PSU. Could use more efficiency but I'm not drawing a lot of power to start with.

Cons: - Could had wish for an efficiency a bit above 70% but still better than generic PSU.- Cables aren't wrapped but it's what you get at this price.

Pros: - 120mm fan so silent and efficient- 400W is more than enough for any value computer- Very low price. Will actualy cost you the same or less than a bad generic power supply from ur local store.
Comment:
I bought this for a value computer (Onboard VGA/Sound, Athlon II X2 250, 2x1Gb DDR3) and it's totaly perfect and very silent for this while providing much better quality than a generic PSU.

Cons: Does not have the 1.21 Jigawatts needed for my flux capacitor.

Pros: Exceptional quality for the price.
Comment:
I own a computer store, and this is my top choice for a replacement powersupply in crappy non-new customer systems. The cables are soft and easily bendable, plenty of SATA connectors, the box feels like it is of good quality, and the fan is huge (and also looks very nice). The power output is more than most systems need, and the price is as good as it gets before going into no-name junk territory. I definitely recommend this PSU.
