Cons: -Velcro too long. If I cut it, I will basically cut off the entire furry hooks portion of the velcro. I don't think most cars will have a mirror that's so big it needs that much velcro to stick on.-Video quality of night driving is not as good as I thought-Lens have very limited angle adjustment. Could have a little more room to move the lens.

Pros: -Blends in a lot better than an actual dashcam-Mirror is nice and big and actually reduces glare like it says-Daytime video quality is good
Comment:
I have a LS430W dashcam from DOD, and loved it, but my new car has these dots on the windshield so my suction cup mount won't stick, and I don't want to use the glue mount because I want to remove the camera every night I get home. So I tried this dashcam. It's a bit bigger than I thought, but the large mirror is really clear and actually reduces glare from headlights behind you as it says on the box. It takes alot of adjustment to get the mirror in the right position so you can see the back clearly, but also have the camera positioned correctly. The amount you move the lens from left to right is very limited.Video quality is pretty good overall. Daytime videos are quite clear, although the contrast is a bit weird. Nighttime videos are not as good as I thought, but still meets my expectations. Probably because it uses a different sensor than the LS430W or the other higher end models. But overall, it's a pretty good dashcam. DOD hasn't disappointed me. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-16-15 11:24 PM

Cons: - the velcro straps aren't the best in my opinion, I would have prefered those clamps that I've seen on other models. They get the job done though.- if the mirror is not secured properly to your existing rearview mirror, vibrations from the engine and/or sub can shake the unit and distort your video footage.- with default settings the night footage is a bit grainy and muddled (though it may just be the lack of lighting in my area as I don't live in a huge city).- while you have a bit of maneuvering area for the camera, I just wish I could have a bit more control over exactly where it's pointing. Though it works where I have it at the moment, this would NOT work in a right-hand drive vehicle at all.

Pros: - certainly blends in a lot easier than having an actual dash camera- the display is noticeable but not completely overwhelming when active, and I find that I don't have any issues trying to use the mirror as an actual mirror when the display is off.- the quality of the footage is actually quite decent.- the files are clearly marked with dates and times- the small battery in the unit is sufficient to save the date and time so it doesn't reset every time the unit is disconnected from power. I haven't had a problem with the unit losing memory, though I do use it at least twice a day.- the microSD card slot supports up to 32GB cards, though some people reported 64GB cards worked. I have not tried this myself, though I bought 2x32GB cards and they work flawlessly in the unit.- I had no sizing/fit issues with the unit when attaching it to the rearview mirror in my Chevrolet Cobalt- the power cord is amazingly long, and I was able to route it along the top side of my windshield and down along the driver's side of the car so it's nearly completely hidden from view.
Comment:
I purchased this product not knowing exactly what I was getting myself into as I've never purchased a 'dashcam' before, but I can't say that I'm disappointed. It works well, the footage is decent and you can clearly make out license plate numbers, etc. When I initally saw this product, I thought it actually replaced the rearview mirror; instead, it attaches on top of your existing one.I'd buy another DOD dashcam again, though perhaps not this exact model/implementation. Example video by me: http://youtu.be/Fkuii1tL77QAll in all, a valiant effort. I'm interested to try more from DOD.4/5
