Cons: - Only for a "claw grip" type of person, which is me. - Had issues updating the mouses firmware on Windows 7 so I had to use a Windows XP computer to do it.- Right side mouse buttons come preset as "change profiles" instead of changing sensitivity which causes the mouse to lag upon clicking them. You must change this in the driver software to get the same functionality as the Copperhead's right side buttons.

Pros: - Good feeling mouse- Good driver software- Makes an excellent upgrade from older Razer mice if that is what you are looking to do.
Comment:
My buddy found this mouse hard to use, so make sure you are a claw grip because he is a palm grip!Upgraded from a aging Razer Copperhead, I like this mouse it is a good replacement. I was going to wait for the new revision that can be any colour but I got this for $29.99 at First Markham Place on opening day, can't say no to that!

Cons: - Very uncomfortable

Pros: - Extremely fast & sensitive- Well built- Profile storage
Comment:
The mouse itself is great, but the moment I put it in my hand it felt unnatural and awkward. I gave it a couple weeks to try and get used to it, but I just couldn't. Ended up exchanging it for the cheaper DeathAdder mouse, which felt just right the moment I picked it up.Overall, this mouse is not for everything. Please do yourself a favor and try it out first before buying. Don't let the impressive sensor convince you to get this mouse over the DeathAdder. Try them both at an electronic store first and then come back and buy on NCIX ;).

Cons: Awkward, especially at first.Profile management.

Pros: 4000DPI (A twitch shooters dream!)Lots of programmable buttonsLightNo battery swappingLooks
Comment:
I decided to go back to a corded mouse after years of using a G7. Battery swapping got tiresome. The Lachesis is better in some ways, but not all. I find it kinda awkward to use, though time is helping improve that, it will never feel as nice as the G7 did. It's lighter though, without a battery. I have yet to figure out a way to get it to use my "Default" (Desktop functions.) profile after playing a game though. It has no issue seeing a game when starting, just not reverting back when it ends. (Were the G7 does.) Though it does have a learning curve, and minor issues I have to give it a Very Good. (Satisfactory falls a bit short.)

Pros: Looks greatGood sizeLove the blue glowOn the fly DPI switchingLots of customization
Comment:
Great mouse when you finally start to understand how it works. It got frustrating in CS as I was getting owned for a couple hours until I started understanding how it works. On the fly DPI switching is awesome when you try to snipe someone far away and you suddenly need precision, although something to indicate where you're at in the DPIs would be nice like on the Logitech mouses.

Pros: -High dpi-Killer look-Almost infinite customization through software
Comment:
It have the pedigree to be a wonderful mouse but it is plagued by a very bad handling. It's uncomfortable and defy all the physic laws of my hand. For example, there is no thumbs rest, a mouse that big needs one, and the side button are nearly useless, since you cannot hold the mouse properly each time you try to press those (very stiff) button the mouse move in every direction. Forget headshots and stick to web browsing... would give one star but i did not purchased here.

Cons: Not many bad things to say about this sweet little rat. Doesnt quite have that 'perfect fit' to your hand as other mice like the logitech mx500 do, but this mouse does just well.

Pros: Been using this for a month now, and i must say this mouse is pretty awesome. Exreme DPI allows for movements not even visible to the naked eye, allowed for total pwnage in online gaming. Definetly recommnded...the glow on the lachesis emblem which is on the mouse is pretty cool to as it glows
Comment:
Very good mouse, very high dpi allows for extreme precision. Would definetly buy again in the future.

Cons: - Some firmware issues.- Rubberized coating gets dirty very easily.

Pros: - Suitable for left-handed users.- DPI can be selected in increments of 25.- Looks nice.
Comment:
I believe that being suitable for left-handed users is the greatest strength of this mouse. Razer seems to be the only company that cares about left-handed gamers. The DPI is tunable down to increments of 25, allowing you to choose the perfect setting that best fits your own personal mouse use. On-the-fly DPI switching is very useful for FPS gaming, although unfortunately the mouse does not have a visible DPI indicator to show which setting you currently have selected.Depending on which hand you use, you may have difficulty reaching some of the side buttons. Left-handed users may have difficulty reaching the side buttons on the left, and right-handed users might have difficulty reaching the side buttons on the right. Because of this, for most intents and purposes this could be considered a 7 button mouse, but 7 buttons is still plenty. On the downside, there are some firmware issues. I first started using the mouse with firmware 1.64, which worked most of the time but occasionally had some tracking issues. Firmware 1.75 was later released and fixed some of the tracking issues, but also reset the mouse to the lowest DPI setting every time you rebooted the computer. At the time of this writing the current version is 1.91, which corrects the DPI problem but also causes the light to stop pulsating after each reboot. To solve this, you have to unplug the mouse then plug it back in every time you reboot.Another downside is that the rubberized coating gets dirty very easily. I wash my hands before touching my mouse, but even so it gets very visible fingerprints after about a week of use.Overall, despite the downsides, I still think very highly of this mouse. With most of the market dominated by exclusively right-handed mice, I really respect Razer for creating a gaming mouse that is suitable for left handed users. Cons: Button-assignment issues, skipping on some surfaces, awkward side buttons

Pros: Unbeatable resolution, excellent software, light weight, ambidextrous shape
Comment:
Once you try the 4,000 dpi resolution, it's tough to go back to a lesser mouse. But be sure to read the Razer forums on proper configuration. (For starters, be sure to leave Windows sensitivity at its midpoint; set dpi to 4,000 then adjust sensitivity using the Razer software.)There are a few issues with this mouse. First, some button assignments will not recognize properly in some games. For example, I set Crysis to use the Enter key to pop up the suit menu, then assigned that key to one of the side buttons on the Lachesis. Instead of opening the menu while the button is held, this flickers the menu off/on/off/on as if the key were repeating. The workaround is to assign the function in-game to something like "Button 4" rather than a key. However, there's clearly an issue with the way the software (or mouse firmware) handles these situations.Other issues have been reported, such as a tendency for the mouse to skip. I followed forum advice and removed the sticker on the bottom surface, surrounding the laser sensor. This seems to help a lot. Also, be sure to use a hard-surface mouse pad. Finally, the side buttons could be a lot more convenient. I use only the two on the left side, under my thumb. The other two I use for rarely-accessed functions, such as mode switching. But it means you've essentially got two fewer usable buttons than you might otherwise have. With those minor caveats, there's no question that (as of Xmas 2008) this is far and away the best mouse on the market, for gaming or any other purpose.

Cons: If you are a low sensitivity gamer, you might prefer the Deathadder (I do).

Pros: Highest dpi on the market (from what i know so far)9 customizable buttons that are very well spottedLooks really coolNice touch and shapeNice to hold in handThe style is freak
Comment:
Customizable buttons, senstivitity and refresh rates. Don't buy it if you won't use high dpi. For low sensitivity gamers, you might be more interest with something like a deathadder, a mx518 or a g5.

Cons: Ergonomy

Pros: 4000 DPILight MouseBlue LEDLeft HandedCool Style
Comment:
The mouse is very cool to own and put a gamer to his max level. But the ergonomy isn't the best. I have taken the time to compare the G9 and Lachesis but i can't tell what mouse is the best. For the ergonomy, G9 is far better, but for precision and extreme gaming, Lachesis is better. If you're looking for ergonomic mouse, go for DeathAdder/G9, but for dDPI and precision, Lachesis is the better mouse ever made on the market. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-09-08 01:42 PM
