looks great, back light is perfect not to bright or dim where to begin... touch pad functions when it wants to, the touch pad randomly decides to downsize a game and each now and then opens windows media player. keys stick or just stop working all together, 6 months use and the rubber coating on the "S" crucial is starting to put on off, shift essential is receiving stiff, junk, i will in no way obtain another keyboard from razer.i would not suggest the lycosa to anybody.after contacting razer they fundamentally gave me a run around, update drivers, reinstall drivers, try a different usb port, try the important board on another computer.surprise nevertheless obtaining the same challenges, and after contacting them saying i am nevertheless possessing these challenge i have yet to hear from them, waiting just about a month now

The keyboard has a actually nice layout and appears excellent. I also like the feel of the rubber keys. The keyboard just doesn't operate 100% of the time and for a keyboard that is annoying. When I 1st got the keyboard I plugged it in and installed the drivers that came on the disk. Inside the very first 30 minutes to hour, I noticed that some keys would quit functioning, and then randomly start out functioning again. I then went to the manufactures site and got the most recent driver which brought me up from about 1. to three. which is a enormous jump. After the driver set up factors appeared to operate fantastic and I didn't run into any other concerns the rest of the evening, expect for some annoyances with the media controls not constantly working. The next day I ran into the very same situation again, 'A' wouldn't function, then it would, then 'Backspace' stopped operating, and so forth. After this, I known as up Newegg to RMA this item. This is the very first factor I have had to return to Newegg since 2004.

BacklightingSoft rubber non-slip finish on keysLightweight styletouch-pad media keys Keys will randomly cease working when I am playing games. This is normally resolved by unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in. However, for a keyboard this is nearly unacceptable. I will update all drivers and submit my 3rd and final review. I am also exchanging this back at the neighborhood store in which I purchased it for an additional to see if I still have the situation.

-The backlight on the keys look pro!-Touch Sensitive audio control keys(Change my pendulum song when playing TF2 with out alt-tabbing, YEAAAAH!)-USB port on leading; good for flash drives-The wrist/arm rest on bottom is a plus for me-Keys themselves have that good rubber feel, significantly superior than the G15's keys that I was comparing to when getting.-Programmable macro keys and profiles! :D-Every thing else I forgot to mention. There's not seriously ANY difficulties I located with the Lycosa... maybe the reality it's a fingerprint magnet can annoy persons. nevertheless I don't seem to even notice ANY fingerprints atm... I got this at Very best Get(for 90 bucks... SHAME ON YOU Greatest Get!) as a present for x-mas. I under no circumstances used a gaming keyboard prior to, and I often thought it was just a major waste of dollars, a 10 dollar logitech keyboard is just as good as a 100 dollar Razer keyboard. I was wrong. If you believe as I as soon as did, get THIS keyboard. :D

Rapidly! Good layout, comfy to use. My WASD keys are so soooo sticky and they rub underneath which causes mistakes in game or when typing. When I attempted to clean it with a toothbrush to free up the friction, the rubber coating began to come off. Razor doesn’t even have a section of its site to support with these issues or cleaning. I wish I had gotten the one devoid of the rubber coating. Get the mirror finish!

It appears cool. Buttons cr*p out through games. As an instance in some games when i'm strafing left, the button will just cr*p out and even when I take my finger off of the important, it keeps on strafing left. Then I have to unplug the keyboard from the USB slot and plug it back in. Not a exciting issue to do in the middle of a game.

anti-ghosting, fells fantastic, rubber not also rubbery flip up feet to make greater just make it slip about, anti-ghosting only on keys close to WASD, manufactured poorly, application even more poorly produced (took me 1 hour to get it to perform, but if you do get it operating its nevertheless just bla, don't function half the time anyhow), integrated drivers suck, less difficult to perform with default Microsoft generic drivers, would from time to time get a crucial stuck on and then the entire keyboard would die (would than will need to be unplugged, thats unexceptible for a keyboard), plus a myriad of other difficulties i RMAed this along with a gpu expecting to get a replacement, but instead to my "luck" i got a refund (everything was out of stock), it was a excellent keyboard when it worked, but it was to unreliable to be trusted, also if you appear on the razor site it even says that a complete bunch of them have defects

Rubber like buttons really feel wonderful, fingers dont slip off ever. The blue backlight is very nice in a position to see in pitch black conditions. After going through two of these keyboards, I located that you can\'t get anything to macro employing the software. The nice touchpad on best correct operates from time to time, but more importantly, it constantly desires to open windows media player, even if you close it, it opens it back up constantly. These troubles are consistant among both keyboards and they are not the models listen on razers site as becoming a recognized issue. Come across a unique keyboard.

low, rubberized keys. By "low" I mean it is much more comparable to a laptop's keyboard, than the common desktop keyboard. This makes the keys significantly lighter, and more responsive (in my opinion, at least). Macro-in a position keys, and multiple macro profiles. The driver is super uncomplicated to use...just click the important you want to macro, and type in the command. simple as that.Connected USB, and audio jacks. Although I'm personally not employing the audio jacks (my head set is USB...also a Razer product the "Megalodon") they would make working with a headset with jacks considerably far more easy. And the USB port is wonderful for say...a game controller, or flash drive. All with each other, this is a fantastic keyboard in it's price range. There are handful of to speak of. I want there have been some added keys to macro. I have my quantity pad disabled, and turned into a "macro" pad.The touch pad media controls could be a small much more spaced out. A lot of occasions when I go to hit pause I end up hitting the preceding button too...so as an alternative of pausing...I get the last song.all just trivial issues...no purpose to deduct eggs. I adore to collect factors, almost to the point of getting referred to as a hoarder. I have 13 different keyboards in my closet (seriously). Each time something new comes out, I have to get it. This is the longest lasting keyboard I've owned. I've had it for additional than a year...all my other ones lasted my about 6 months at the longest. They either wore out (I use them a lot...and heavily) or I just come across some thing much better. So far, not the case with this keyboard. The back-lighting is excellent. Just appropriate, as opposed to my Alienware laptop, whose keyboard lighting is like it's attempting to out shine the sun.The sign of a loved keyboard is when the keys start out to wear out. Soon after about 7 months, the letters on my keys started to wear off...now my "q,w,e,a,s,d" are mainly just glowing blue squares :). Preserve in thoughts, I use this thing a LOTThe only keyboard I could see replacing this one is the Logitech G19...but from what I've study it is not worth it's ridiculous value.

Nice really feel on the keyboard. The blue backlighting is vibrant and very easily visable in the dark. I purchased this and swapped my initial one particular out for yet another one. Both boards spam launched WMP until i changed it to some thing else that i do not use like Itunes, the touch pad on the best suitable was quite...touchy, didnt often do what you pressed. The macros did not operate at all, it would "save" to some extent in the application but in no way actually translated to the keyboard. I dont recommend this board. I purchased the Logitech G110, have yet to recieve it. It has far far better critiques. The one particular egg is for the nice really feel and the backlighting.

Straightforward on the eyes back lighting. Touch panel is hassle-free but wants perform (see cons). A lot of programmable profiles and straightforward switching among with macros. Macro functions are effortless to plan as properly as most of the extra commands readily available (see cons). Really simple to clean, all the keys come suitable off and go right back on. This keyboard does pretty a lot every thing I ask it to with no complaints. Surprisingly tough (see other thoughts). Comfy wrist rest and keys. Hassle-free ports on front(see other thoughts) Asdw lighting is a good notion but I would have liked setting my personal lighting arrangements. When employing the touch panel in-game for music I noticed that when it was set to use windows media player it would alt tab every single time you skipped or paused a song. This is extremely inconvenient when trying to pause a song prior to a match begins. Challenge was resolved nonetheless by switching to realplayer (wish there were additional choices obtainable). The other situation is with the macro settings. you can set any a single essential to something but you are not provided any keys dedicated to macros. Alternatively you need to sacrifice other keys. Not also huge of a deal but if you set a essential to run a plan in specific a game it will launch it just fine. But then immediately after that you will no longer have the functionality of your macros...they just cease functioning (profile switching and so on.) And the exact same challenge as every person else, the keys do quit working. It does not come about often and has only occurred to me when the laptop sleeps a lengthy time. I payed much more for this keyboard at a big box store when mine suffered water harm. It shorted out and under no circumstances worked once more. I utilized this one for a even though soon after without having any issues at all (not even keys going dead). And i did it again. Spilling beer on the touch panel and number panel of the keyboard. It freaked out altering the lights repeatedly and sending horrible screeches to the other players in-game via my mic. It died but out of some miracle it started operating again the subsequent time I utilised the pc. following this the audio ports give feedback but that's the only factor that seemed to suffer and i don't use them anyway.-1 egg for macros dying -.five eggs for touch panel altering windows-.5 eggs for keyboard not "waking up"But plus a single egg for it surviving the beer and getting able to bring it to heck and back with me :)

Awesome appear and really feel. Keys are really responsive (when they function, see beneath). Two eggs for being "cool". Spam-launched Media Player and kept shifting concentrate out of WoW until I killed the systray app. Glossy plastic shows fingerprints (why not flat black everywhere like the keys?). Touch-sensitive media manage section from time to time doesn't work (multiple touches, or there is a delayed reaction). Lighting settings not persistent - why not save the 'state' as a reg value or a thing? Minus three eggs for the driver and design flaws. A wonderful keyboard... until you get to the flaws. Razer needs to repair their drivers or whatever it is that causes erratic behavior with Media Player. For the price I paid, I could get another Saitek, it could not have as high of a sample price, and the LED lighting could be a bit cruder, but at least it Operates without having getting fiddly or random.

It has nice back lit keys, It worked quite nicely. It does have some good touch pad essential functions. My primary troubles are with the keys and the touch pad (so I guess the whole keyboard lol) It worked fine for the first handful of months. But then all of a sudden when I was playing a shooter game I realised I couldn't stop walking forward.... Then I couldn't press D so I was stuck utilizing my mouse to move me around. Randomly other keys that were operating stopped operating as nicely. I had to uplugg it to repair it. It kept taking place so I just went back to my old dell stock keyboard. The volume on the touchpad often if I double tapped it, it would just preserve going up for no cause at all, and if I lowered it manually it would hold going up until I unplugged it. So if you can locate a better keyboard don't get this 1 it's got a lot... ALOT of problems..

-Keys are backlit-Surface of keys is smooth, but not adequate to where your fingers slide off when typing.-In a position to adjust colors and distinct profiles for various applications Keys will randomly stop operating and I'll have to unplug the usb ports and reinsert them for the keyboard to work correctly. None of my drivers, for any piece of hardware, are out of date. Even though playing a game , 1 of the WASD keys will act like the crucial is becoming pressed down when it is not. (In Crysis, I'll randomly begin strafing to the proper/left or going forward/backward and not be in a position to stop. Pressing the crucial for the opposite path only brings the character to a halt.) This happens at least after a day. Games it has occurred in are: Mafia II, Half-Life two (including any mod), any game in the Total War franchise, and Crysis). The only way to fix it is to exit the game totally and restart it, which for some games (especially Total War) can bring about you to shed a crucial battle, and autosaves when the battle is over immediately after you lost. Initially, the keyboard worked fine for about 2 weeks. Right after that, these little problems slowly began to happen and have not ceased. The only purpose I gave this product two stars, as an alternative of 1, was since it was on sale and had a rebate supply at the time. Seemed like a deal for ็. Now this will be a backup in case anything happens to the replacement.I ordered a G15 that really should arrive in a couple of days, so hopefully that will execute much better. Just want they nevertheless sold the original version and not the Rev 2 :(

The feel of pressing the keys is even greater than the Logitech Illuminated that this keyboard replaced. Pretty substantially all keys QWERASDFZXCV Shift and Ctrl can be pressed up to 5 or six keys at a time, which is precisely what I was hunting for. Back light is best. Mic jack didn't operate. Headphone jack has some signal loss. Shift wasn't included in the gaming important cluster, so some ghosting there - not a major dilemma, but nonetheless. Keys have no print on them, so back light delivers the only indication of the letter on every single important. Light can be changed to only illuminate WASD, but this is pointless due to the fact I use all the keys described in the pros section as effectively. USB passthrough is only 1.1 typical. I like the back light. If I didn't want the back light, I'd have bought the Arctosa rather, which has anti-ghosting cluster and 1ms response time, but removes the USB port, headphone and mic jacks, and the back light.

-Sleek design and style-Illuminated keys -Drivers result in blue screen in Win7 x64 (used WinDbg to verify)-Random keys will quit responding, needing restart to fix-Media keys in leading suitable stopped functioning and perform random actions (my music will skip back to beginning of track and that specific button doesn't operate, play and cease will skip forward and back tracks instead of their intended action)-The illuminated keys turn off at times and I have to switch them back on. I purchased this to replace my original Logitech G15 which lastly went out. I thought the Lycosa looked good and I wanted to get one thing a little slimmer after the G15. Bought this and I was initially worried that my motherboard was the trigger soon after obtaining challenges with the final KB, but right after talking to a couple of other owners and a Google search, I knew it was not just me. For the value of the Lycosa I would extremely advise skipping this model and going with an additional reputable brand. I haven't tested it on other OSes so YMMV if you're on XP/Vista/Linux.

Back lit keyboard, touch function for play, pause, rewind, ffwd, alternative to turn back lighting on and off or show WASD keys only. It has audio jacks and 1 USB port which is a fantastic addition. May not be a con, but its way too thin and dont set up higher enough at an angled position even with the two stand legs down, when back lit element is off you cant see the keys numering and lettering actual nicely. If you can get use to it, its worth it I guess. It actually dont have a lot of functions though, most income spent into this IMO is for its backlit design and style on the keys.

None. When this keyboard decides to function, it isn't as well undesirable. But that's incredibly uncommon. The media touchpad thingy is the greatest abomination I've ever noticed. You have to taptaptaptaptaptaptap it for it to recognize. It also magically spams random buttons (sitting listening to music and all of a sudden it starts seeking backwards by means of my library...)Also, random keys stop functioning and you have to unplug and replug the usb cable. Plugging headphones/mic into the onboard ports causes unbearable static. I could go on...Bear in mind these troubles existed with the terrible Razer software installed as effectively as uninstalled from my laptop. This is the very first Razer product I've owned. This is the last Razer product I'll personal.

It is extremely nice to be in a position to turn off the vibrant blue lights during a movie!-Razer is a respected gaming peripheral supplier! -My key flaw with this keyboard is that the "touch" screen media player handle only operates with iTunes, Winap, and Windows Media Player. It would be great to see help with much more clients such as VLC, (Zune software program compatibility would be good too!)-Not a huge deal, but it would be good to have a couple of other colour alternatives for the back-light color. I not too long ago had a Razer mouse die on me and they took it back no challenge..I didn't even have the reciept.
