I use this adapter with a netbook computer running Windows 7 (starter) and have no problems. Others mention problems with the 64bit version but I have had no confilcts or troubles at all. Works perfectly as Com3 with RS 22-812 DMM with RS-232 interface and talks to their Meter View windows software just fine. I am very happy with this USB to Serial port adapter cable. |

I needed a (serial to USB) connection from my GPS to my new laptop. A GPS cable was expensive. It did the trick, fast and easy! |

I was hesitant to believe it would work for me, but the driver installed in my Vista Home with 32 bit and worked without complications for my Scan Tool OBD2 that needed interface for updating via the web. most computers now do not come with a serial port and this allows you to plug into a USB port and have a DB9 serial connection. quality seems good, imported product, but the driver disk and packaging were decent for the price and I would buy again if I needed another one. |

This product would be great if it was not so short. It will not even go from the printer to the computer when they are sitting right next to each other. |

Needed a serial-to-USB adaptor to use with my old Wacom Tablet and new Win XP Pro laptop with only USB ports. IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTE WHEN CONNECTING YOUR SERIAL DEVICE: When installing the Wacom software I had option of Serial or USB connection, so I selected USB, which I thought would be correct because of the new cable adaptor. It didn't work so I selected Serial, and it worked. Apparently, Wacom still thinks the tablet is connected via Serial port. Doesn't matter, as long as it works, right? I don't know if this is specific to Wacom, so keep this in mind when installing device software. |

I tried to use it with a notebook adapter for an old Timex Datalink watch. The drivers list suggests that it should work, but I tried on two different XP computers and it simply wouldn't |

This cable saved me from having to buy a new label printer. The printer is a serial connected device. New computers didn't have a serial port. I couldn't get it to work with this printer using Home Vista operating system. I was able to get it to work on my laptop which is using XP Pro. |

The cable I received was defective and after trying some email suggestions from the manufacturer that didn't work they sent me a new cable even before I sent the original back. I would definitely buy from Sabrent again. |

Contrary to an earlier comment, we were able to get this to run on Windows 7. Went to Sabrent web site and downloaded driver. Everything is good go to go. Can't beat the price. |

I purchaced this to use on a older digital camera cord on a new computer that did not have a serial port. This will not work with the new windows 7 OS. I down loaded software from site and it still won''t work. I got what I paid for, not much. It's not worth my time to send it back for a credit. |

The usual quick shipping. Plug it in, loaded the driver and it immediately connected to my serial device. Worked just as advertised. If you need to connect to serial device and all you have is USB port, this is the answer. |

no issues with replacing a serial com port under XP that I could not make work. This allowed me to connect a ham radio to control software on an older Dell with CP. |

This basic USB to 9 pin serial adapter is supposed to be Windows 7 compatible. I tried to use it with my band new HP laptop and the software would not install properly. At least it is a low cost item so I am not loosing much money. |
This cable does exactly what it should and it is not to long or to short. I used with Windows XP 32-Bit.
