This is a fantastic multi function laser printer. The setup was incredibly easy and I was printing, faxing, scanning to email and copying within a matter of minutes. The web interface is quite easy to use too.My only complaint is the manual feeder, it has no paper support so your pages are flopping all over the place and you can only feed one page at a time.

I've purchased two of these printers recently -- One for the office where I work, and another for a local business based on my success with the first.Setup was a breeze in a multi-computer office environment thanks to the network IP-based printing. Printing is speedy following a slightly-longer-than-brief warm-up time. Expected stuff for a laser printer.The web-UI provides complete setup control, and an easy place to check supplies and printer status, view page counts, print usage reports, and perform configuration duties.I don't know what the problem might be for others that have mixed results with scanning. I've done "push" style scans to each PC in my office, and images appear on cue on the respective machines.Scan quality is decent, and both the flatbed and sheet feeder seem to work as expected. Fax functionality seems solid. I spent a bit too long entering my old fax's speed-dial list using the number pad before I found where the web-UI had a spot to type entries in like a normal person. While I was there, I set up e-mail forward (paperless) faxing to cut down on wasted paper.Cartridges are an expected ongoing expense, though the $120 give or take for the 5000 page long-life cartridges can be tough pill to swallow if your duty cycle is heavy. Given the alternative of roughly $75 for the 2000 page units, it doesn't take a mathematician work out which pill is healthier in the long run.

This printer worked wonderfully right out of the box. Connected to a switch in my network for all users to access wireless and presto; scanning, faxing, printing from any computer in the building. Great results too, takes a wide variety of media

the item is in a too huge box. it weights like 16lbs thats a lot! i have not try the performance, but the ink is expensive which is not a good starting :(

Plugged this printer in my switch and 20 mins later I was able to print from every computer in my house. Don't know why but the scanning option is difficult to setup on all the computers, but got it to work on my main computer.Samsung make excellent products, satisfied with this purchase.
