Peppy little processor. Not sure about wattage, entire machine seems to stay at or under 50 watts at the plug when in use. Upgraded from a incredibly old socket 939 1.6Ghz sempron. Machine utilizes about two far more watts than the old set up and is infinitely faster. Not genuinely a con for what it is getting employed for, but the processor does not have a lot of speed for severe processing such as video encoding and so forth. Scores a four.six on windows 7 index. Like I said, not genuinely a con for a machine created for web browsing and playing on the net scrabble. Upgraded every thing but the case and wireless adapter. This chip, 2gigs 1066 worth ram, 880g chipset motherboard, SSD drive, Windows 7. Personal computer is incredibly quickly on wireless connection for internet browsing. Total boot time is about 20 seconds from pushing energy button till windows is up and connected to web by means of wireless; about 7 seconds of that is bios boot. Youtube HD video looks crystal clear, anything even though browsing is instant...haven't used machine for something else...and machine will not be used for something else. Is absolutely best for what it was developed to do...far more than pleased. Make went together without a single hitch....did not even set up any drivers...windows 7 did it all.

Paired this with a Gigabyte GA-M68MT-D3 MB for a replacement in my mothers Emachine. She mostly plays games like Bejeweled and does Facebook and so on. so she didn't need to have a power home Computer. This combination worked very properly for her. A goood investment and upgrade. Superior than going the utilized MB route. None For becoming a single core processor it was very fast on internet browsing. AMD rocks!

Operating this in an HTPC with an onboard video. Does a fine job of playing blu-ray and streaming hd content at about 70% processor utilization. I doubt this issue would be capable to manage streaming HD content without DXVA, but it might. For beneath 40 bucks a CPU combo like this is a quite darn very good deal. I also place one particular in a different low expense laptop I constructed and so far it's functioning just fine. Fan's slightly loud for an htpc create but tolerable. I unlocked the core on my htpc create but it was unstable. Any individual knocking this cpu since they can't unlock the second cores is ignorant. There's a cause this processor is under ุ and isn't named an Athlon II. Want a dual core processor? Purchase 1.

Runs flawlessly (couldn't get the other core to run stably), quiet, cool, OC'd to three GHz stock voltage @ 40°C peak. Stock cooler runs whisper practically inaudible in my living area. It still gets five eggs even even though I couldn't get the second core steady simply becauseɅ. AM3 Socket2. DDR3 Controller (I'm running 2x 2GB DDR3 1600Ɲ. 45nm process (cooler, faster, much less energy)four. OC'd to 3 GHz on stock voltage @ no hotter than 40°C.5. This issue is faster than my old Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Dont waste money on a higher finish processor if all you will need is a thing modern day and efficient. This small Sargas is the most underrated CPU on the industry. It is additional than rapidly sufficient for my clientele.

For ิ with a fan no matter whether you can unlock the 2nd core or not this cpu rocks. I personal two of these and am working with them in two separate builds. I was able to unlock the 2nd core on each, purchased about a year ago, and they have run smoothly due to the fact. One is applied in a windows house server that is naturally operating 24ǝ. Appropriate now the server feeds movies, household videos, photographs and music to an htpc making use of an old 939 X2 3800+. The other is in a pc my son makes use of for music creation. Can't beat AMD when it comes to bang for the buck. None This CPU just shows how a lot overkill there is in most CPUs nowadays. For simple computing this is all you'll ever require and if you are fortunate sufficient to unlock the 2nd core your standard computer system user will a lot more than happy. If you truly will need two cores simply by the 2nd core step up and not waste your cash on a a lot more costly motherboard. On the other hand, if this is just a temporary cpu and you strategy on upgrading, then by all means try to unlock that second core.

Utilized in non-gaming rig for my wife. Utilized the ASRock UUC to unlock the core... Basic.... issue rocks. not a hitch. stable as anything. Fan/Heatsink was a disappointment. Genuinely modest, applied a larger fan/heatsink just mainly because I didn't have faith in what was packaged with this CPU.

Affordable processor that can be unlocked to a Athlon X2 4400E It didnt have 2 much more cores to unlock! A wonderful way to create a inexpensive laptop for daily tasks and much more. I applied the ASUS M4A880T-M board to unlock the additional core. I had zero challenges and I have not constructed a computer for various years. Outstanding!

Cheapest DDR3 capable CPU that comes with a fan.Unlock-able to Athlon II dual core if you have the right motherboard. (I was unsuccessful) Idles a bit hot for only pulling 1.0v. ࿈c)Memory is restricted to ddr3 1066MHz in my case. I didn't research this enough as I was developing it for an individual who only plays browser based games and facebook/messenger.Asrock N68C-S UCC did not unlock this sempron.Coupled with 4GB of G-talent DDR3 1333 that I had to run at 1066 mainly because of stability issues and screen flashing with onboard graphics.

Cheap, Cool and Quiet as I anticipated from reading the glowing evaluations right here. None For rejuvenating an older motherboard for non-gaming purposes and to run quietly at low energy usage this sempron is performing magnificently! (This MB doesn't unlock cores however). Overclocked to 3.4 on stock without any voltage raise ... remains cool - idling at 29C.Thank You Newegg and AMD.

Economical, just what it claims to be - and then some. None. Bought as I required to just get operating and the motherboard required an "older" CPU to run in order to update the BIOS. When that was done, a great second core was unlocked. I admit was hoping for that, but was expecting to run single core for a whilst.

Wonderful worth for a processor. Its just about a no brainer. Bought this for my mother for simple computing. Runs windows 7 no issue at all paired with an ASUS board and 2gb DDR3. Overclocked mine utilizing the stock heatsink to 3ghz and it runs 100 percent steady at 32c. I can go a lot additional with it, but I'll just leave it since it is lots fast and steady. Could not get the additional core to unlock on my chip. Would have been good, but I didn't pay for that core so I didn't anticipate it. Great solution from AMD, I have about 财 into a comprehensive program working with this CPU. A technique that is very good enough for 99 % of customers.

Value, (obviously). Low Power consumption. This is the second of these processors I've purchased for upgrades and this little gem has to be a single of the ideal kept secrets in this sector. I paired this with a Biostar A780L3L and two Gb of GSkill DDR3 1066, all of which I bought at the identical time. I was able to very easily unlock the second core but the build is not stable. I have my suspicions about what is happening in that respect and when I get a video card I'm thinking my dilemma will disappear. That did not, on the other hand, stop me from boosting this proc from two.7 to 3.five and have it run steady as a rock with something I've thrown at it so far. I have played Halo on this with no dilemma but that doesn't mean it can be utilised for any type of heavy duty gaming. Even so, I bought this to test for use as primarily light business/internet surfing applications and for that, this works like a champ. None, so far. My purpose for obtaining this was definitely the possibility of getting an inexpensive, low power, dual core processor, on the cool. When I can't get the proc to be stable with both cores unlocked, (I'm making use of the board's onboard video and I think that's the problem), I have no complaints. This factor runs like a scalded dog at three.5Ghz with only an improve in the FSB and almost no improve in heat output, even following playing Halo for a couple of hours straight. I can also surf the net with no lag although converting an HD transport stream to MP4 format in the background. If you just need to have to surf the net, along with a couple of medium to medium heavy organization applications, you would be over spending if you get anything additional high-priced. This proc is a lot more than capable of handling that, and low to medium strength games, with no challenge.
