Cons: A bit heavy and bulky. Poor P/S placement. No 2.5" drive mounting holes.

Pros: Solid construction. Takes standard ATX P/S. Lots of ventilation.
Comment:
I really wanted to like this case but it didn't live up to my expectations. Silverstone enjoys a good reputation but they have not kept up with other case makers and their designs seem dated. This case, in particular, seems to waste a lot of internal space. That make the case too large for what it holds. That, combined with the steel construction and extra internal structure makes it a bit heavy. It's not possible to mount a 2.5" drive without some modding, not even with a bracket. I resorted to two sided tape. The fan placement is poor as well. Side mounted fans rarely work well and the fan placement is unnecessary with SSD drives. The two top/rear fan exhausts are a nice touch. They would be even better with fans included. Last, but not least, the location of the P/S is right above the CPU. That severely limits the size of the CPU cooler. In addition, the P/S fan and the CPU fan end up working against each other which limits their efficiency. The CPU gets quite hot under load due to this. Also, the hot CPU exhaust ends up going directly into the P/S intake. That's not good for longevity.

Cons: Not as small as it looks

Pros: Nice looking CaseFairly roomy for a smaller form factor

I bought this for a HTPC setup and it fit everything I had bought with ease. Be warned though that it is not as small as it looks!

Cons: Ventilation, quality control

Pros: Price, aesthetics
Comment:
A tremendous case for the money - looks great and has plenty of room for a simple mATX setup. It's pretty light too, but this may be a reflection of how the price has been kept low with pretty skimpy construction. If I could make one change, it would be to incorporate a larger, slower fan.

Cons: -Need to remove the back 80mm exhaust fan to access a motherboard mounting screw (so I didn't bother putting in a back 80mm fan, just one in the middle/top for exhaust and the intake fan next to the hard drive bays).-Like all uATX cases, cable management is more work than in a bigger case.-Not a huge amount of clearance for the CPU cooler. You need something about the size of a stock CPU cooler - no towers whatsoever. Heatpipes on the CPU cooler are a good idea for high-power CPU's (95W+).-Need to use noisier/more expensive/less efficient 80mm case fans.-Front optical drive should be short; a long optical drive plus an extra long non-standard PSU would be a tight fit.

Pros: -Very spacious for a cube case due to its extra length compared to many competitors.-Attractive-Front USB ports in a pretty good location-Accepts very long PCI-e video cards; much more compatible than most uATX cases-VERY lightweight (2.6 KG)-Doesn't use a proprietary PSU (a HUGE bonus)-Pretty easy to work inside-hard drive bays face the side of the case, so they are easy to connect and disconnect. PLUS, they have active cooling - the intake fan blows on them. Very smart!
Comment:
This is a fantastic cube case for uATX boards. Like all smaller cases, there's a series of tradeoffs. In this case, there's no 120mm fan slots at all (my biggest gripe with this case), the CPU cooler can't be too big because it sits under the PSU, and some of the largest GPU's may be tricky to fit into the case. With that said, there's a whole lot to like with this case, so much so that I gave it 5 stars. It's my favourite micro ATX (uATX) case now. I love the light weight and relatively small footprint. The extra length is genius - I was able to pack an ATI 3850 HD video card in there with tons of room to spare. The hard drive bays face the side of the case, so they're easy to install and uninstall, even in a packed case. The intake fan blows on the hard drives, which is great because heat can build up in these small cases, so it was a very good design decision by Silverstone to put the intake fan where it is.Having the option for 2 exhaust fans in addition to the PSU's exhaust on the back is a nice option. I would have much rather had a top-mounted 120mm case fan, but it would be a tight squeeze unless it has a slide-out motherboard tray (adds cost) or it was built into the top of the case. I found that if you install an 80mm case fan at the back of the case (the one on an angle), you can't access one or two of the motherboard screws with a regular sized screwdriver. The other, central exhaust fan doesn't conflict with anything and I'd strongly recommend putting a fan there to help with cooling. All in all, this is a very well designed, budget-minded uATX case. I'm finding more people are asking for smaller cases these days, and if the system needs to be moved, it's so much easier moving a ~10-15 lb cube case (final build weight) than a 30-40 lb desktop case.Next version I'd like to see one or two 120mm fan ports and maybe rubber HD feet like Antec puts in their cases. A slide-out motherboard tray would be nice too.

Cons: -CPU cooler support -Dust

Pros: -Cooling-Full length video cards support
Comment:
I bought this case for my listening room as a network music player. It gets the job done, fairly roomy for a case this size. I would definitely recommend a modular power supply as there is little room to hide excess power cables. It looks fine, but definitely not the usual silverstone brushed aluminum front bezel, for the price, i can't complaint much. There's a lot of ventilation on the side with no filter, so dust is an issue on this case. Heat isn't an issue, the psu exhausts the heat from the CPU, while the 2 80mm on top keeps the expansion cards cool. The maximum height of CPU cooler can be used is around 90mm, so this does somewhat limit your choice of CPU coolers.

Cons: Below par quality controlSome sharp edgesNeeds short CPU heatsinks(approx 80mm max height)LEDs too bright

Pros: Small on the outside,Roomy on the insideEasily fits 12" vid cardNice looking
Comment:
This is a nice looking case, if you like the SFF thing. It's roomy and and easy to work with. The real downside is that for a Silverstone, heck for any reputable brand, the quality control on this case is substandard. There was quite a number of edges that were not filed down properly, sharp enuf to cut if you're not careful. Also, the power supply mounting, I/O and expansion slot backplate didn't seem to have been riveted squarely. There was a slight bend on one side, and a couple of screw holes were out of alignment from the uneven torsion. I needed to bend/force metal to around the screw holes to fit the power supply and back I/O panel. Wasn't pleasant.About the CPU heatsink area... because there's little clearance between the exchaut fan of the power supply and the CPU heatsink, I opted to use a Scythe Samurai ZZ and removed the fan. This setup ends up sucking the air from bottom up across the heatsink. I'm not sure if this is the ideal setup, as heatsinks typically have better performance with air blowing into them. But it seemed better than having a setup where the PSU fan is trying to move air up and the CPU fan is working against it moving air down. I also adjusted the 80mm fan that was facing the HD, and aimed it towards the CPU area (zip ties and a slight dab of glue) for added ventilation. So there's a constant draft going from front to CPU heatsink, up to PSU exhaust. Seemed to make sense and temps for a 965BE (stock) at 40-50 load bear it out.

Cons: Lack of space for psu cables.

Pros: Sturdy construction.Well designed.

This has to be one of the best sff cases I have seen. The fact that it can fit full length video cards is a major selling point. The case has plenty of ventalation and I always get comments from people when I bring it to lan parties. I think it is the best lanbox you can get.

Cons: Plastic front face.

Pros: Nice layout, well ventilated, takes full length cards, decent quality, smart HD bay design, takes full size ATX PS.
Comment:
For the money this is a decent design. Very good case ventilation with the option for two additional case fans. Not too cramped to build within. Wish the front face was brushed aluminum like my Silverstone Lascala LC17B but for half the price I guess that's expected. Not the cheapest out there but if you price match you will save $10-$15. Would I buy another? Definitely.

Cons: The ONE fan it includes is a little loud.

Pros: Good case for your money.
Comment:
Not too cramped, easy assembly. Seems fairly solid except the front panel seems a little flimsy. The 2 front Power/HDD activity LEDs would probably be annoying in the dark. The side fan cooling the HDDs is a little loud but I could swap it for a dif one or use a fan controller. Right now it's hooked up to the NB fan connnector on the mobo lol. I was also missing an HDD rack and had to go back and get one . I like the way the HDDs are installed. You screw them to the tray, slide em in on the rails and screw them in place. Price match this case and it is well worth it!!! This review was modfied by poster @ 06-08-09 10:33 PM

Cons: A little on the noisy side, Optical drive covers do not connext to your optical drives the way more expensive cases do

Pros: Sleek, small, perfect for an inexpensive HTPC
Comment:
I just thought I should write a review to counter a lot of what the others are saying. Flimsy? What are you guys using this case for? A footstool? It sits there on my cabinet and does what it's supposed to. The build quality is fine, ESPECIALLY considering its price point.

Cons: cheap constructionflimsy bezelno psuno fans included

Pros: cheaplots of room for a mATX cube
Comment:
This is a really cheap mATX cube for a budget project. On to plus side, its pretty roomy, fits a fill length PCI card. Also has three fan mounts for case airflow but unfortunately they are for the 80mm variety and not included. The front bezel feels very cheap (first one actually came in damaged). I would certainly expect more from Silverstone, even at the selling price.

Cons: A bit flimsy

Pros: Great mATX case for the price, can hold a full length video card like a 8800GTX/Ultra, which is a feat by itself.
Comment:
I bought that case for a customer build who wanted the smallest case possible for casual use. I'm pleased with the internal layout which make fitting everything a breeze and will support a normal ATX power supply. It's also built to accept a full length video card fine and you can even add 2 80mm fans on it to help with cooling but we all know that 80mm fans is a bit on the noisy side and that's a trade off unfortunately.Overall, it's not the most robust case but with care, it will have lots of years of use as a HTPC or browsing box.

Cons: Flimsy metal & the included fan is noisy.

Pros: Respectable brand and enough room for me to work with.
Comment:
I was supposed to get an Asus case, but when none came into stock for a while I had NCIX ship me this instead. I wouldn't choose this case again. Silvertone is a brand I've respected for making solid cases, but the metal bottom of this case bend very easily around the back where the motherboard's faceplate gets installed, the feet are attached with flimsy plastic grommets, and the included fan causes a very noticeable whistling noise because of it's position and the holes for airflow on that side of the case. This doesn't come close to the quality I've learned to expect from Silverstone.
