I've built systems occasionaly, but for a long-time. I have an SG-03 and virtually liked it a lot. This 1 solves an assortment of tiny troubles I had with the previous: much far better hard drive mounting and tray on the bottom, better material in the chassis, looks nicer, etc. It is seriously a fairly nice process.I took a Gigabyte LGA775 based motherboard out of another process and upgraded it with a Q6600 I had from a different method that died. Program has a new Corsair HX620 PS, the NT-06 cooler, which now supports LGA1156 sockets too, and three WD RE3 drives running Win 7 Pro. The screws utilized for the external drive tray and reduce tray are a bit little. In other words, there really are no actual cons. Silverstone took a pretty neat, but imperfect case and turned it into a really nice one. How great? I'm about to order 1 additional to replace the SG-03 I have.

Extremely intellegent design. Really small box. Rubber HD vibration dampeners function Excellent. Can't hear the WD Blue 500G drives. Utilised advised cooler (passively) and PS (a good setup!). Wired both situation fans for 5v operation. My AMD quad core processor is operating incredibly cool (I don't overclock). Decided I actually didn't need a complete ATX board for my common computing requires. This is also my very first Silverstone case. Have generally built with Lian Li, but no a lot more. Rubber HD dampeners are effortless to rip apart but you really should not be concerned. Bottom situation fan initially would stall at 5v but now is broken in and no difficulty. Situation is a small heavy due to primarily steel contruction, but the upside is you have lower program noise. Hinges squeek like an old door hinge, but I kinda like that for some cause. Keep in mind to attach cables to optical drive and then feed cables into situation just before mounting the drive. You'll understand why when you get there. Like this case.

I had to move to a MicroATX situation given that the Silverstone TJ-03B wouldn't fit with my office furnishings. It was a lot much more hard to assemble due to the restricted space, but the guide that came with the situation helped. Essential to assemble in order and a modular energy provide is a ought to. I was capable to get every little thing to fit. The capability to either place 2 fans on the front of the situation or one fan and adjust the position is nice. I like the cover for the DVD drive that makes the case look like 1 piece (smooth appear). The two 120mm fans on the front are loud, had to replace with a single much more quiet. Also my board only had a single energy plug for a chassis fan (not the case manufacturer's fault, but I'd have to use the energy supply and a converter to use the second fan, I ended out only making use of one and seems to be ok).The situation front opens with two pieces and it can rattle a tiny bit, had to reposition a few occasions to get it to be quiet.

I truly am pleased with the materials/exterior/noise level. The front is constructed of aluminum and the remainder of the case is steel. The case feels incredibly solid and has the proper amount of weight. Classy appear general. Very, really quiet with the stock 120mm fans in the front. Stick-on aluminum cover for the external five.25" is a actually good touch. None to speak of

Comment:
It’s a small, reasonably great construction, and a solidly clean created case. Simple but productive cooling setup; intakes air from the front and exhaust it by way of the back. It does not rattle or shake unless the front panel doors are open (hinges are very easy and will squeak, hence causing the rattle if the door is open, a magnet keeps the door closed). It’s a tight fit, but everything fits fine. Can appropriately fit 10.five” GPU cards with some room for the PCI-E power on the back. Can fit full or extended sized PSU. -I was incredibly disappointed that the three.five” external slot is covered by a steel tab, in which I had to break off in order to use it. I hadn’t had to do that to a case in a long time and not to 1 of this quality and cost. It creates sharp edges and may possibly warp the material at the opening. -Although they enable you to location the PSU facing into or away from the MB, the side panels, as opposed to their FH model, has no vent holes for the PSU. If facing away, it provides much less than 5mm for PSU air intake. So if you don’t want to strain your PSU out, make it face inward or alter/get a new side panel. -They provided two 120mm fans, but only 1 of them has a fan grill. A case this smaller, even when the wires are wrapped, they get incredibly close to the fans. At full speed, they can be loud, but my MB can control them. Only the front is anodized aluminum, the body and frame is coated steel. Make sure your CPU cooler/heatsink and fan is less than 7cm tall, otherwise it will touch the PSU. Intel stock heatsinks will fit perfectly. You ought to be ready to do some cable management in order to make every little thing fit properly.

Comment:
I was surprised by the high quality of this case, and will definitely be getting a Silverstone case for my next build. The fact that it manages to get full-sized components to fit in such a small case shows that the design was well thought-out. The two Silverstone 120mm fans included are fairly quiet, even more so than the Yates I had originally purchased for it.
