450W PSU, lots of space, mini ITX kind-factor. Keeps cool with supplied fans, although I'm not overclocking. Functions ideal for an HTPC or just to have some thing small. With the huge PSU, you can put some decent gear into this box. It's not actually a con, but I'd choose if the optical drive slot were regular size rather than slim. A tiny additional function than a micro-ATX or ATX case to take apart, but I imagine that's to be anticipated with a smaller form issue case.

Operates... and is pretty, but silverstone did make it. None yet Any person purchasing a case a la carte really should know this already, but leaving OEM case fans in place when you get a new case is akin to employing a OEM CPU cooler. It functions, and there is absolutely absolutely nothing wrong with doing so. Just don't complain about the noise. If it is nonetheless noisy with noctua or scythe fans in there, then you can complain. Comment on points like the Style of the case, how it appears, or what takes place when you drop it from 4ft off the ground.

This is a excellent case thinking about the volume and what you can place into the case. It's ideal for portable gaming; in fact, I can truly match the entire issue into my backpack, and there are also travel situations created especially for this. I've given this a higher rating due to the fact I like this case a lot, but I wanted to post a review to warn people a few issues about the case its self; maybe this was posted prior to, but I'll just repeat it so folks will see it anyways.1. If you're going to place a video card in there, you will need a suitable angle SATA cable. It wont fit with most SATA cables supplied by motherboards or challenging drives, and it'll run into your video card.two. If you intend on placing a slim drive in there; some of them require a mini sata energy cable which the PSU does not provide, so you require to check that. Also, there's an individual that said you can put a ten.five" video card in this computer system, and while I could see how it's attainable to dremmel the metal in the front with out harming the plastic front, I think it's best to just get a card that is below 9". Even even though I happen to personal a pretty fantastic video card (XFX 9800GTX), I like this case sufficient to just wait to get a smaller sized, better card. Even although I clearly typed additional in the cons of this case, most of those were factors which relate to getting laptop circumstances this modest. How frequently can you say factors like "This case fits in my backpack" for desktop grade computing? There's of course going to be a lot of sacrifices to what you can put in there and how items are laid out.

This was the easiest build I've ever had (probably built 50-60 comps in my lifetime). Area for a two.5 hdd, a three.5 hdd, a slin dvd burner/drive, motherboard, and graphics card. Make sure your graphics card will fit. Mine barely does- a Zotac Geforce 460 (the connectors are at the base, not the side, which adds 1.5 inches to total length). Quite well planned out case with low heat upon testing,

Update:Replaced the GTX460 with a ATI 5870 :)This case will fit a GTX480 / ATI 5870...with some assistance from the dremel tool. Just make sure you get the dimensions of the card initial as not all 5870s are created equal. I utilized a XFX5870 that measured 10.25". The power connectors had been at the end of the card, creating its plugged in length ㅂ.75" none!

As effectively ventilated as a case of this size can be. 450 watt energy provide.Integrated intake fan is quiet enough to not warrant replacement. The metal cover is flimsy. It buckles in and out like the leading of a snapple bottle cap. The difficult drive rack is made to place the sata/power cable connectors proper up against the graphics card. 90 degree cables are not a "good thought", they are needed. The power/reset buttons do not "click" nicely. Its far more of a sloppy mush followed by a click if you press down difficult enough. The PSU can be turned upside down so that it intakes air from outside the case instead of inside. This would be to prevent the PSU and CPU fan fighting every other, as they would be face to face, pulling air in opposite directions. You could reverse your CPU fan if you want, but flow characteristics are not the exact same in opposite directions. In my experience, if you are fortunate adequate to attain comparable cooling, at the incredibly least, noise will be elevated by fan reversal. There are shallow dimples on the top perforated sections of the case that are not effortlessly visible in images. They are in the shape of truncated square pyramids. I don't know if it was for raising rigidity or for looks, but it looks/feels bad in my opinion after you notice it.

Size, place of PSU in the back as opposed to other box kind situations exactly where it is in the front (like the Roswell ones), space for complete size video card, 450 watts, quiet fan, front I/O, space for cpu heatsink from the PSU, plenty of vent in the right areas, program is cool installation is a bit hard. I've built more than a dozen systems and this is significantly harder due to the size (a provided) and location of the cd/hd tray. blue LED very bright. buttons dont really feel really tough. cover is thin and bendable causing a poping motion the moment installed. Outstanding for HTPC due to the space avail for total size video card. Its meant as my HTPC but I threw in a GTX 460 complete size card and it plays games wonderfully. Still quite quiet.

- Easy to assemble- Lightweight- Super tiny for a gaming computer- Relatively quiet (but not silent) - The blue LEDs for energy and challenging drive activities are very bright like lasers. I put black cloth tape more than the LEDs and that solved the problem. The LEDs still shine through, but are at the correct brightness now.- The three.5" HDD cage is hung to the top by two tiny screws, and the screws are on the exact same side (rather than 1 screw at opposite sides). Therefore, the cage is not really well-secured, and it sways a bit when you move the case. General, I am really satisfied with the case. I wanted an HTPC that I can put ideal beside my Television, but still lets me do some mid-level gaming. The situation looks great and minimal, and blends in properly with my setup.FYI, the 450W situation does not come with the IDE/SATA adapter like it does for the 300W situation. Not a concern for me.GIGABYTE GA-H55N-USB3Intel Core i5-760Scythe SCSK-1100 100mm Shuriken2x2GB G.Skill DDR3 1600MHzMSI N460GTX CYCLONE 1GBSAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB

I've had mine for about 6 months now and I really like it. This is a really nicely designed case. The airflow is outstanding. The stock fan is high quality as is the power supply and its fans. The front fan filter is also good and easy to get at and transform. There are so several things I like about this situation, but there is one particular issue they got incorrect. The power button is also small. I can't just basically reach over and push it. I have to sort of poke into it with my finger nail. It's about the size of the head of an AAA battery. If you have huge fingers it's going to annoy you off just about every time you go to turn it on.Like other individuals have mentioned operating in this case can test your patience. It's not one particular of those cases created to quickly let you to adjust your motherboard or swap drives. Swapping RAM for instance with generally require you to disassemble the entire point such as removing the power supply. Not a massive deal even though due to the fact once it's built it's beautiful. With a little bit of redesign this case could simply fit a 120mm fan mounted water cooling program. Just a thought for the manufacturer. Even for a modder prepared to dremel I don't assume it will operate in this case, but for a future variant of the situation it appears very achievable.

followup to reviews . In response to JBrown:This situation will fit up to a ten.five - ㅂ.75" card.I've have fit a 5870 and GTX570 (same length as GTX480)...with images...in this precise case.As I stated in my assessment, you do have to use the dremmel tool to cut an opening in the front of the case (aluminum physique only)...but the front cover still fits and you can't tell you did anything.Rather easy to do, but not for those afraid of receiving their hands dirty :)

Great build good quality (nicer than the SG-05BB with the 300watt PSU).Easy to dissemble / reassembleLightweightGood airflowWill fit a 9.five" Video card (maybe ten") It's not no cost? My 1st silverstone case...and surely won't be the final now. Built a HTPC/Lanbox with the following specs:Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 LGA 1156 Mini-ITX MoboIntel I7-750 Scythe SCSK-1100 HSF2x2GB Corsair DDR3 2000MHzZOTAC GTX460OCZ Agility SSD - OS driveWD 1TB HDD - games/dataThe GTX460 is about 8.5" extended, I have close to 2" to spare. So you can fit a larger card...though I'd suggest one particular with the PSU connectors on the side of the card, rather than the finish...as it could be a tight squeeze obtaining those plugged in if you go more than 9".I pretty much went with the SG07 and the 600watt psu.But in the finish...I really like the smaller form factor (about 3" shorter) and additional than sufficient PSU power.

sleek external style, excellent internal design, 1 of the much easier builds I've carried out lately, but furthermore, this guy is the size of a chubby toaster and the airflow is well purposed so that I don't require anything else or to make any mods. I'm no engineer, but I there is plenty of space to add a different hdd bay. I would have liked to have two hdd's besides my ssd in this case, but that's just a thought, not truly a con. By far, the greatest case I've bought and worth the cash. I will say anybody with a graphics card longer than 8.5 inches might have concerns. I'm using the geforce 460, so it fits perfectly.

Good small case with 450w psu is much more than adequate to drive a DFI ITX, 4GB DDR3, an i7 870, and a HD5850 or GTX 470. I actually bought my case with the 300w psu and paid an further ninety dollars to upgrade to the SFX 450w, so this is actually a pretty good price. This is a well made case that works the way it suppose. Installation does require totally dismantling the case, but that is to be expected of a case this smaller. Since of the position of the power supply more than the cpu, most aftermarket cpu fans will not fit, luckily the Zalman CNPS 8700 NT with a LGA 1156 adapter, does the job nicely.I would like to have had the solution for a wise card reader, a removable motherboard tray, and/or a 5 1ǚ, optical drive. Nevertheless, I prefer having the smaller size of the case rather than adding attributes that boost the size of the case I have employed an XFX HD5850 for a year now, and I have also tried a GTX 470. The HD5850 with its pci-e power connectors on the front of the card, is a tight fit at 9 1ǘ inches. Contrary to what the user below stated, this case wont take a card as long as a HD5870 or GTX480 (at 10 1ǘ). For this cause, I am at the moment in industry for SG07 so I can use a HD6000 card. Also I don't see the point of spending the additional funds on the SG06 because there are no additional characteristics other than a prettier front panel.

Cons: - case cover isn't perfectly aligned- very bright hard drive activity light

Pros: - lightweight- lots of vent holes to allow components inside to breathe
Comment:
This case is very compact while allowing you to fit a gaming video card. The case cover on my box wasn't aligned perfectly tight so it required a bit of work to get it to fit somewhat straight. The blue LED for the hard drive activity is way to bright but at least the mic and headphone jacks on the front aren't painted in pink and green like most boxes. Power supply cables are just the right length.
