It's a dvd drive. I don't exactly have a major list of requirements for these things.Can it burn a DVD? CheckCan it read a DVD? Check4 stars. This product doesn't stand out, it just gets the job done. I bought the cheapest DVD drive this time, and will do the same next time. |

If function is required over form this is a decent choice, though I generally prefer Liteon for that purpose.. but this was on sale ;) |

I needed a disc drive for a new office machine and I have had good luck with Samsung equipment in the past. It works as it should, though it's a bit loud (to my hearing, could just be lack of other noise in the system makes it seem that way). In any case, can't ask for any more than that. |

This drive is great for the price. I know i put cons software, but for this price you cant really expect much. Most people already have some bundled software so its not a big deal.I have used a few of these drives, and they always install windows fairly quickly, over the sata interface. Drive speeds seem very consistent when burning dvds so thats a plus. |
