This is a good DVD drive. I've used numerous samsung DVD drives without one failing yet. The design on the front is nice and the LED isn't too intrusive. Highly recommend if a DVD drive is required for your build. |

It's a good Drive, these days are definitely different then 10 years ago. A DVD drive was vital back then. Now $20 gets you a pretty much flawless drive. |

I have bought dozens of these DVD burners and have always been happy with them. The price is always good (with a PM sometimes) - and they work well. Have never had to return one yet. |

Picked this up to replace a dead burner, and so far it seems to have been a good buy. This unit was on sale, and it's black, which fits in with pretty much any case, AND it reliably burns media at rated speeds, so there's not much more to ask of a burner, except, hopefully, longevity. |

Works exactly as expected. Installed into PC to install Windows from disk, no problem booting from the DVD Drive. Side holes lined up perfectly for mounting into PC. Looks great from the front too! |

Not much to say about these drives. They are all so cheap and well build these days, just pick the brand you like essentially. I like Samsung, as well as LG. This drive does the job and it looks good to boot. Got it for ~$15 price match too. |

There is a firmware update out on the Samsung site. This drive ships with version 0, the update is to version 1. I don't know what it does but there is an update that is hard to find. Who doesn't like being up to date.But the drive itself. Quiet, cheap, black, reputable name; what more do you want? |
