Cons: $499 is way to steep. Get these when they go on sale for $149.99 You will not lose at this price point for this type of quality high end speaker set up.

Pros: -on sale price $149.99-best sounding speakers on the market?
Comment:
>I own many different speaker setups from Polk Audio book shelve, Cerwin Vegas, Altec Lancing, Logitech THX 4.1 surround, Infinity speakers in my car, Samsung home theater.>I tested these speakers with difference styles of music. I really just could not believe how clear the sound was. The highs, mids and low mids are perfect. These speakers surprisingly produce really good base. I can't stress enough how good these sound. They do get pretty loud. I keep the volume at 65% level and control my volume from my phone. I am right now using them for music in my bedroom. I am considering buying another pair for my kitchen. >As for as gaming is concerned. You will most likely need a good sound card. I might trying gaming with these at a later date and update  my review. > bottom line if you want perfect sound coming from you speakers. you will not be disappointed. I am going to say these have the best crystal clear highs I have ever heard. Hats off to these guys.

Cons: dont buy at $499. wait for the sale. and then buy it. honestly if you have a budget of $499 for a speaker then why not buy BOSE instead?for movie streaming/music listening sound is great, really nice but for gaming [tested on starcraft 2 game music and sound] is so-so. really im not impressed with the sound when playing my game. it sounded like so im using those portable $30 or below speakers. i bought this specifically for my gaming speaker (when not using gaming headset which is better) so im just shaking my head when i use it to play sound when playing games. so average.

Pros: compactgood soundremote controltouch controlreasonable buy for $149.99 ($167 tax included)
Comment:
At first I thought this compact speaker is defective. Music is playing at the desktop... but it doesn't have sound after plugging in! But I realized, I put the AC power plug already..what could be missing, oh well the USB cable from the SimpleAudiospeaker to the PC you dummy. And then, I was impressed with the sound. Now, of course, this was bought for $167 so I expect something from that. Hello? If I bought those $40 and below speakers then I don't mind cracking/incomplete sound. Anyway, this speaker has great bass, great sounding power. And so compact. Great for my listening of music, watching movies on my PC. Most of the time I use my Kingston HyperXcloud gaming headset for sound but sometimes my ears hurt (headset effect) so I wanted a free speaker once in a while. I'm not really into multiple speakers set-up brohaha, my room is so small (I used to have this speaker, then mini speakers attached to it, so much hassle. Just check them speakers for sale here in NCIX you have the main speaker and lots of child speakers. Im not a fan of this setup. So many small boxes to place, what if one gets damaged then your setup is toast/incomplete already...so I want something simple and compact yet with some punch and this speaker does it's job) So for $167 this is a good buy for the people [music+movies+youtube] but man... honestly for using this as your speaker when playing PC games is an epic fail. but im not gonna return this. it is what it is:good/great for music/movies/youtube on PCnot good for gaming speaker. sound is just so-so average. Cons: original price.. BUY IT NOW AT 150$ total steal u cant get performance and beauty for the price

Pros: design controller everything bluetooth is easy to sync
Comment:
idiot free install skip pause botton on remote work for itunes etc. clean clear and enough low end to vibrate your desk, plus the optional RCA hook up for a powered sub is a nice touch so now i got a matte grey Kanto SUB8 on its way to compliment these speakers and that was all purchased for 2/3 of these speakers retail.

Cons: Overpriced. Should buy only when on sale.

Pros: Nice design with quality materials. Sounds produced are crisp and powerful.
Comment:
These speakers are high quality. The swipe controls are a nice touch. These desktop speakers are somewhat overkill, but audiophiles should like them.

Cons: ludicrous "list price"auto shut-off

Pros: nice sound with decent bass even without a suboutput for a subvery forgiving of low quality source (net radio)fills a moderate-sized room well at low volume (with a sub)
Comment:
These are a good buy when on (huge) sale, but there are other comparable systems around the $200 mark. They sound very nice with enough bass by themselves if you're just sitting at a desk. I use them for my TV & PS4, so I've attached a Dayton Sub-800 which combines really well to produce rich, room-filling sound. It was only when I compared to my other systems that I found the Listens to be a bit flat and in-your-face (think Bose). Still nice sound, though, not "bad" at all. I listen to a lot of internet radio, and these somehow compensate very well for the variations in the source quality. I also have the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and the HK Soundsticks w/Bluetooth. All three are excellent, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with the Soundsticks. They have the clearest sound, the nicest design, and are the easiest to use. For ease-of-use, the Promedias don't have Bluetooth, and the Listens auto shut-off which has become a real pain. The Soundsticks aren't perfect, however. The bass is bit sharp, I prefer the more realistic puchiness of the Sub-800s, and they don't fill a room as well as the other two. The Promedias are most affected by the quality of the audio source, where a higher quality source will result in better sound than the others, but lower quality will produce worse. They have the warmest sound and can best fill the room at low volume. But they're really old now, without Bluetooth, and aren't as good quality as the other two - they've been finicky from day one, but I've managed to work around the problems. They still sound great, but I'd really hesitate to buy another set or recommend them because of their quality.

Cons: Price (at MSRP)No subwoofer crossover?!

Pros: Convenient operationFlexible connectivityGood sound for sizePrice (At recent sales
Comment:
These offer nice build quality and good sound for their size. For $200 or less, they are pretty hard to beat for overall sound quality, convenience and asthetics. Though At anywhere near their MSRP ($500), the value prospective becomes laughable. The DSP that compresses lower frequency sound to maximize output given the limitation of the bass drivers works quite well. Though, of course, dynamic range and frequency response becomes severely compromised at higher listening levels when playing sources with any significant bass. But for their size, this is perfectly acceptable. The one glaring issue I've encountered is that there is no crossover to cut bass frequencies to the speakers when using an external subwoofer (for which the Listens have a dedicated sub out). This means that when adding a sub to handle bass, the speakers will still engage heavy DSP compression when playing bassy sources at higher volumes - almost negating the advantage of bothering to connect an external sub. That they didn't add a passive crossover knob/switch or the like to mitigate this glaring issue is at least a little negligent and severely restricts the potential of adding a sub to this system. Cons: -no subwoofer

Pros: -they look great-great media connection (Bluetooth, USB, 3.5mm cable)-comes with a remote that has media controls if you are connected by Bluetooth or usb-the illuminated touch controls
Comment:
These speakers are great for the price of $148 that I bought them for. They respond well to eqs I think due to the dual amp design, some of the other cheap speakers or headphones I've had all lower the volume when I turn up the bass for example or all the other frequencies start sounding muddy. It has great media connections which are intuitive IMO. When connected to a computer via USB they turn on and off with the computer. I can connect it to Bluetooth at the same time and will recognize that I want to use it through Bluetooth. Then will revert to USB when I disconnect. You also don't have to manually turn on Bluetooth on the speaker to connect to it as long as you have paired with it before. The remote works well as a way to control your computer or whatever is connected to it (USB or Bluetooth) like a personal media player. The only downside I can find with these is that it doesn't have a subwoofer. It can play the lower frequencies just fine and you can hear the bass kick when you sit on front of it as close as computer speakers but when you move away it doesn't have that same kick as a subwoofer would give. Good thing it has a way of plugging in subs. Otherwise it is a great product if you could buy it at this price

Cons: - Sound quality not as good as a $400 home theatre system- Not worth $498 regular price

Pros: - Sleek design- Touch interface- OK sound quality- Stable bluetooth connection- Easy to connect multiple bluetooth devices- Worth $150 on-sale price
Comment:
The design of this bluetooth speaker is very good, especially with touch user interface and remote. The bluetooth connection is very stable, and the speaker can pair with multiple devices. In order to switch devices, the connected device needs to be disconnected first before the other device can manually connect to the speaker (no need to pair again). This is similar as most car bluetooth systems that support multiple devices. Pairing is very easy and the instruction from the manual is easy to follow. The sound quality is OK for a bluetooth speaker. However, at $498 it is not comparable to a $400 home theatre system. The middle range is strong, but base is very weak. But at $150, it is decent .

To make them be discoverable via Bluetooth connection, you have to press and hold Bluetooth icon for several seconds (on the top of the right speaker). Then, you could pair them with your smartphone or tablet.
