My last DVD burner was an LG and it crapped out on me so I decided to go with a Samsung as I have had good luck with other of their electronic components. So far I am very pleased. Runs quiet and works just like it's supposed to. |

Bang-for-buck, this is one of the best drives out there. I bought two for a client but have purchased many others in the past. Samsung makes a good drive in my opinion, never had any troubles with my past ones either. |

Bought for budget build for a friend, works great no problems thus far, plays dvd's and all sorts of cd's no problem with installing it or installing programs from it. Excellent little cheap CDROM. |

Acheté en remplacement de mon vieux graveur qui avait 5 ans. Celui-la ma surpris par sa sonorité base. Quand il tourne il ne fait pas beaucoup de bruit. Bien mieux que bien d'autre marque. Je le conseil a tous. Un excellent choix. |

I used this in my main workstation, its very speedy and quiet. Even unbalanced CD don't seem to make much noise. Although I regret not getting a light scribe version for 3 dollars more. |

Bought this for a friend's comp. Works well enough, just tested it once before packing the system up. You can really only go with LG or Samsung if you need a DVD burner, I went with the cheaper one. Disappointed though that there was no included software, not even cheapies like PowerDVD 7 or Nero Express 6. |

J'ai acheter ce Burner pour remplacer mon bon vien Pionner qui m'a duree pres de 4 ans.un lecteur dans mon ordi j'peut vous dire...il travaille,mon premier Samsung a du burner au moin 5000 disque+l'utilisation normale,donc je sais que Samsung est synonyme de qualiter.j'ai graver 50 disque depuis je l'ai eu...aucun probleme.Le seul Lecteur a mon avis qui demeure superieur a Samsung sont les Pionner et les Plextor.recommander a tous!!!!!! I now only use Samsung dvd writers for my builds. I have not gotten one that was defective yet contrary to LG and Lite On. I find them highly dependable. As with all OEM product no sata cable but so what. Great pick. |

I tested out burning right away after buying it and it burned quite well! Moreover, it can read most of my scratched up CDs so it was a great buy! A bit pricey though but I guess that comes with the strengths of the product. |
I always pick a Sh22x for all my builds. They're cheap and they do the job without a fuss.This one threw me a curve though. When I was done the build and powered up, the drive wouldn't eject; it tried but you could hear that it was jammed.I took it out of the case and tried to manually open the door with a straightened out paper clip. After a few tries I noticed that something was rattling around inside. I took the cover off and a large piece of plastic flash left over from some moulding process dropped out.Kinda bummed about that, it should have been caught at the factory. However, it works fine now.
