I got it on sale for pretty cheap. It works fine. I haven't had any problems with it. It's quieter than my last drive. If you need a drive, can't go wrong with this. |

Cons: None for what I needed.
Pros: You guessed it, it's a optical drive, it worked and that's it.They are all pretty much priced equally.Comes with a sata cable and burning software if you want it.Oh and not being oem means well packed in a retail box. Might be a incentive for some. Comment:
I would have bought the cheapest drive available, happened it was this one, even comes with a retail box so shipping damage chance were nill. |

Bought this for $15 on sale for my linux box. It runs fairly silent, easy to install and has given me no issues. Totally happy with it especially for the $15 sale price. |

This is a great DVD burner. It looks and performs like a lot of different burners. I've had good reliability with Samsung burners. |

Its nice to get the sata cable and screws, so to get this on sale for 15.99 it was a great deal. My only complaint is that its a bit loud. I've gone though 5-6 new dvd drives on different builds and really no dvd drive is that quiet so i can't complain too much. works great |

Relatively quiet ODD? My old LG Combo ODD was louder. I think its a pretty good ODD.Theres really nothing much you could say about an ODD...... If it works, I think I should say its pretty good.....Oh, obviously it doesn't play blurays.It supports most CD and DVD formats.However, if theres a better deal going on for a different multi-type ODD, go with it. There are not much of a difference when it comes to an odd.... |
I will soon have this product in my hands and then inside my new computer tower, samsung do have some good products, i did have a different drive picked out but ncix don't sell it no more
