Lots of space for every little thingAdded usb portsLocking case is nice if I have anything critical in the driveQuiet It is not fairly as quiet as it was made out to be, it still has a hum that I can hear continually but it is quieter than most circumstancesSort of annoying obtaining to open the front door to access the drives, but it does preserve it quieter and the lock is good.

Nice Searching and simple assembly. Decent energy supply. Particularly poor power switch. Switch is a thin disk form which sticks regularly when depressed, causing failure to boot. Has carried out this from day a single. I don't do returns, I decide on to repair myself.I am going to replace it with a distinct switch regardless of how it appears. Must have accomplished it lengthy ago! Newegg nevertheless rocks, It's not their fault!

I want to commence by saying that the image of this case that newegg has does NOT do it justice! It's lovely and has a excellent shiny/lustrous finish on the front, really appealing. The physique of the case is steel w/ a semigloss black paint. The difficult drive soft mounting method is wonderful, as are the trays for both the challenging drives and the optical drives. The case comes with lots of further hardware. It's comparatively quiet. Not all aluminum! You may want to replace the fan it comes with by another, larger good quality, quieter fan. The stock fan is audible on the greater two settings. This case fluctuates involving 99 dollars and 109렊/etc. It generally makes it back to 99 dollars. FYI.It doesn't come in pink.

Extreme silence from the method. Each and every energy cable and interface have been offered. Style is sophisticated and not flashy. All slide out chassis are great for periphrials. An added fan from the front of the case would be nice. The switch that comes off the main fan in the back of the case must have a slot so that it sticks out of the case. You have to open the box to modify the fan speed settings. (not a huge deal), Does not incorporate chassis intrusion switch. Incredibly attractive design and style. The power switches are easily labeled and simple to set up. Practically nothing super special about this case except that it has class, and style.

I nevertheless like the slick piano black appear. Nonetheless like how the side case door opens effortlessly and the filter concept. As predicted, the fan has started making noises immediately after a year. Just ordered a replacement. I could have encountered the ESD issue when I plugged in a USB drive a week or so back. Hard to inform as I had just upgraded my OS. Thought I'd give this a "after a year" critique.I also have grown weary of the front door obtaining in the way. On the other hand, I'm prepared to tolerate it to preserve the dust from gathering...plus it makes me get off my rear sometimes.I haven't added any hardware since initial acquire, so the low PSU wattage hasn't been an problem.I can see where some noise insulation could have helped maintain the noise down. But for this price, you're in all probability far better off just getting some spray on stuff and doing it oneself.

fans, energy supply are quiet. Looks slick (I'm not into arbitrary L.E.D.'s or transparent side panels.) Has locks if you are into that. Ive had optimistic experiences with Antec earthwatts power-supplies (including the 1 that comes with this case). It's a bit tight in there; screwing the motherboard onto the standoffs was a delicate operation in that space (ended up holding the screws with a needle-nose in one particular hand, while operating a ratcheting screwdriver with the other.)When the included components are quiet, there is no genuine sound proofing, so something you add can add noise, like video card fans, case fans or CPU fans.In my scenario, the DVD drive, operating at complete study speeds, ended up getting quite loud.. Not sure to blame the case or the drive, but a totally free optical drive speed limiter took care of that for me.Lastly, the door. The door is cumbersome and feels delicate. Although the door does support somewhat with noise reduction. I do want the power switch was not behind stated door. I did my very first create in this case, having performed various (in other situations) considering that then, I now feel qualified to have an opinion.I did add a 120mm fan to the space on the difficult-drive cage. My i7-860 does get a bit toasty (low 50's C at load), but is well inside limits.I was pleased with the general quality-I've utilised antec cases in various builds considering that and will likely continue to do so.

The construction of the case is solid. It is not a cheap style actually. Each and every expansion card lines up completely with the case. The power provide. It was seriously loud to me. I replaced it with an earthwatts. All round I would advocate this case. It looks nice and is built nicely. If you could get it w/o the energy supply it is worth the buy.

Very first develop in years and it went with no a hitch with the Antec Sonata III. I adore the angular design and style of the case and far more than ample space for all your peripherals. It also comes with a stout 500W power provide, but serious gamers or builders with extensive power demands might want to check their configuration and see if 500W is sufficient. The included power provide just barely covered my method according to ASUS's energy calculator. It is cool the case comes with a front side SATA slot, but an SD card reader would have been a lot more valuable in my construct. None actually. There's a lot to like about this case. I'm slightly biased due to functioning with older low cost situations largely, but this case is pure high quality to me. I managed to assemble my Computer from scratch in significantly less than 30 minutes, no cuts on hands, no aggravation, just an enjoyable knowledge. Simple access to drive bays and excellent construction will make this a joy to function on going forward. Looking forward to seeing if the dust filter genuinely functions though.

I bought this case in 2007 and I'm nevertheless using it with the bundled PSU. It fits my EVGA GTX 260 video card and keeps every thing running cool without having any more fans. The cables are all long sufficient to reach the motherboard connections; even the cable for the headphone and microphone jacks reaches its destination, which is as far away as feasible on my motherboard. Adding HDD's is pretty simple; you need to have to screw the drive into its tray but the tray merely slides into its bay which is very easily accessible when the side panel, which has a deal with, is off. Even though it does match my GTX 260, it's a tight match. Also, the noise is noticeable. It's not awful, specifically when contemplating that it has four fans in it, but there are undoubtedly quieter situations accessible. The panels that cover the five.25" bays when they don't have a drive in them are sort of flimsy; even brushing one when trying to press eject on my DVD drive can knock it out of spot. It's not the most spacious or quiet case but it fits my video card and has lasted me practically four years without having anything over heating or any other challenges.

I am so used to noisy-fanned computers for so long that when I began my new make for the 1st time [using this case] I thought that it was not operating---its that quiet. Of course that's the point; the cause that I bought this case---its quiet.DON NOT buy this case if you are looking for some other top quality. It's only meant for persons how want an absolute fairly pc!!!PROS: ITS Quite. OH, did I mention that its quiet!! I have the 3 speed fan set to low, the QUIETEST setting. It has a QUIET power supply built into it. Not the best create high quality. It has a light reek of inexpensive to it, but not to negative; sort of flimsy. But isn't anything these days.4 stars. I listen to apple lossless music more than a fairly fantastic stereo. Just before, when I employed my extremely old noisy laptop it drowned out the highs---now its Much much better. Its like ive been waisting my time before listening to hissy music Highly Advised!

The Sonata III is a very good deal. It's quiet, properly-built, good seeking, roomy, and it comes with a decent 500w (Antec) power supply.I don't know about you guys, but I hate noise. It's sitting suitable subsequent to me and I can barely hear it, even with four tough drives. This point is way faster than my last box and also way quieter. Can't beat that.Fairly roomy for a mid-tower. Nice mounting technique for the really hard drives, with tiny urethane grommets to isolate vibration. It's nice hunting. Shiny black, with blue LEDs. Only 4 SATA power connectors. Had to get a splitter for the DVD.It's a mid-tower, so it's possibly not big enough for some of you extremists who want max space and max airflow. But for most utilizes it's plenty. I study some testimonials exactly where using the front USB ports would brief out the motherboard and lead to a reset. I tested all the front ports and did not have any difficulties.

I've had very good accomplishment with Antec products. The qaulity of their situations and motherboards appears very good.I especially like how this case enables hard drives to be mounted sideways. More than the years I have a tendancy to require to add, get rid of, or change drives for one explanation or a different and these are effortless to get at.The case also involves thumb screws which make opening the case a breeze. The integrated 500 Watt power provide appears perfectly adequate for a mid-variety system. This is my third case of this kind. This newer case now has a bottom mount for an SSD drive. But in my case I had two SSD drives as RAID0 so I had to acquire a seperate mounting bracket. The front cover is produced of plastic. The plastic pieces that cover the drive bays don't have a tight fit. It you bump them it is doable to knock them out of place. A minor annoyance.

This is a wonderful case. My preferred part is that its incredibly quiet. From time to time its tough to tell my pc is on. Its got a lot of space for drives and the energy supply performs great. More than all, it just feels very properly made. The door that covers the drive bays is a bit annoying. I have a tendency to forget thats its open and then run into it. Its pretty difficult but it could break off. I've bought three of these situations now and will continue to do so whenever I will need a new case.

bought this case with the 500w psu about 3 years ago on christmas sale at around $80. It works just fine. The lock function of the side panel and the front panel can be useful if you need it. There is only one case fan at the back, which works quiet so far in 3 years. One weakness is that you cannot do much case management with this case. But for a case bought 3 years ago at this price? I can live with it.

- Included 500W 80+ prime-rated power supply- Solid construction exudes quality- Straightforward to assemble- Fits ATX board with space for cable management- Extremely good seeking- For a tower, not overly massive- Quiet - No genuine use for front eSATA port - would rather have seen a Firewire port there I purchased this case to make a Pc for my brother. He wanted a tower case that wasn't also large. I am a large fan of Antec circumstances and energy supplies so I've had my eye on this 1 and the usually more affordable NSK-4482B for a although. Attributes-sensible, appears-smart and at the time pricewise, this 1 proved to be the better of the two so it's the a single I went with. I was not disappointed. This was by far the easiest I've built. Very best of all, my brother loves it. I am thinking of build a new server and perhaps this will be the case unless I make a decision to go with the Antec 300 or mini P180 if I can find a fantastic deal. Regardless, If I require to make any tower desktops for everyone else I'll be positive to use this case. I looks excellent, is uncomplicated to develop with and feels and looks like top quality. Eye-catching exterior. Challenging drive trays with silicone grommets for isolating drive vibration.Antec Consumer Service has historically been really responsive. In general, Antec appears to strive for excellent and very good design.Unfortunately in this instance, I really feel they fell short. 1. The intake air filter is accessible only from the bottom - you have to tip the case on its side to remove it for inspection and cleaning. 2. The 5.25 bay covers are not effectively retained. They have a tendency to pop out - or in - with small provocation.three. If you mount four SATA drives in the trays, it is awkward to connect power -- the supply is above and each connector has to be turned over to plug onto the drive. If the cable have been lengthy adequate to power the string from the bottom up, it would be much easier. Perhaps the designers have been considering of other circumstances where the supply is bottom mounted. Just the distance from the top rated mounted supply to the drives mounted in the reduced front half make it a attain.four. Only the left side panel is removable. Even though Antec intends that you will not will need to take away the proper side panel, I would like that capability. And I would particularly like to have that limitation advertised. With regards to the static discharge concern:I have had no static challenges so far.On my case, there is a grounding wire from the front panel that is attached to the chassis. This grounds the shield about the eSATA connector only. The USB shields and the shields on the audio connectors are connected and connect to the black conductor that in the end connects with the energy provide ground. No matter if is right design or not I will leave to Antec to determine. But if you are charged with static and plug a USB device, that charge will go into the power supply -- not the chassis.

not a lot of, looks decent... Case is a royal piece of JUNK! front door is a discomfort, and Extremely flimsy. I would give it a month or so before it falls off or breaks.Of far more concern even though is that Antec still has not solved the static dicharge issue with this case. I installed all elements and booted into each Linux and windows with a USB drive to set up. practically each and every time I removed the USB device with the machine operating the OS crashed and the machine rebooted. I spoke with individuals at both antec and new egg about this prior to buy and they each told me that the issue had been resloved.. IT HAS NOT!! and funny Antec is now not returning or taking calls on their tech assistance quantity. I have left 3 messages, no return get in touch with, and have sat on hold as number 3 in line for over 2 hours..New Egg was Exceptional about returning the case, with a prepaid shipping label. so cudos to them!!Antec however is Quite on my list!
