Cons: Somewhat unintuitive setup, but not altogether bad. Read online.
Pros: Works well for pure VOIPCheap! |

Cons: you call a mobile phone or get an automated machine
Pros: Works fine until... Comment:
Every thing works fine once you figure out where to get the info on how to configure it. *complicated* for the average joe. Then I called an automated machine and my dial pad didn't work and called a cell phone and they couldn't hear anything. Tried to go on their website for support but.. you have to PAY because it's no longer part of Linksys or something... Patheticanyway... i finally figured out the problem, it was the codec... most website tells you to put g729a instead of the default one but in my case, the default one worked perfectly... Cons: - clicking noises when dialing out over landline- ring tones stutters occassionally when receiving calls (including landline calls)
Pros: - Dialplans (can define whether to use landline or a voip line)- Same phone can be used to send/receive calls over both services Comment:
Folks in the house don't need to worry about special digits. Can set up dialplans to transparently use the landline for local calls, and the voip line for long distance calls, etc. A few minor annoyances, but, works as expected. |

Cons: Price, documentation
Pros: It works, powerful, Comment:
This device is quite good, I have it hooked up to the googlevoice trunk line via vpn, and no issues so far. You may be overwhelmed by all the configuration parameters, way too complicated for the non-techie, There is some great configuration guides online for this exact device. Over all, a good device to suit any VOIP needs. An Alternative to this device is the Obihai Obi110, it receives more updates and it is friendly with google voice. Make sure you research before you purchase. |

Cons: overpriced
Pros: Get this only if you can PM it Comment:
I got this PM for 63.63+ tax Not sure how competitor came out with this pricemust be some great marketing trick lol.Anyway, Linksys makes few models that are very similar to this one that I got. SPA-2102 offers two ports as in you can have two separate voip lines on it. Both SPA 3102 and SPA 2102 offer build in router. The setup is relatively easily and no prior experience is necessary. Just follow the instructions that are provided by your VoIP provider. These boxes work with Acanac, FreePhoneLine, Dell Voice and many more. If you are looking for a basic ATA box without the router capability, you might want to save your money and get Linksys PAP2T ATA box. |

Cons: Only one line. PTSN is really unusable.
Pros: Can configure multiple gateways. Comment:
I purchased this back in 2007. Initially my plan was to use this to migrate my home from PSTN to VOIP. At that time the inexpensive providers did not offer 911 or number porting. So it made sense as a way to keep the same line for incoming calls & 911 and use VOIP for outgoing. However, I quickly found out the PSTN had way to much echo and lag to be useful. So instead I ended-up using this just for a VOIP business line.Since then I migrated my home to VOIP, and I found the fantastic thing about this box was that I could configure multiple gateways. I had dialing rules so I could control on my key pad which VOIP line out going calls were routed on.About 6 months ago I started having problems with the box, where people could not always hear me. Frequently outgoing caller Id failed to work. Eventually I started hearing the box power cycle multiple times during the day, and sometimes picking up the phone just stopped the ringing, but did not really answer the call. This morning the box died completely.I am considering what to replace this with. I like the dual line feature of the SPA 2102, but I like the multiple gateway feature of the SPA 3102. If there was a ATA that had multiple gateways and dual line without the PSTN I would choice that. |

Cons: - Manual sucks
Pros: - No problems with it- easy to set up- A lot of configuration options Comment:
I am positively satisfied by this little piece of equipment. It is very easy to set up (basically plug and play( you do have to input your VOIP info) ). I have not experienced any problem with this device. I found it fun that this VOIP can be run in either bridge or gateway mode. |

Cons: none
Pros: Price and size Comment:
This small voip adapter comes with a built in router. That has allot of features that come in handy. You can setup multiple voip accounts and configure it to work with the dial plan. It only has one line out, for one phone that is the only thing I think it doesn't have to be the perfect voip adapter. |
Good little box. Works fine. Setup is a bit complicated but chances are you will find your VOIP provider's settings online, even if they're for another Cisco/Sipura box, they will work with this one.Onboard router is a joke, so use your own router and configure QOS.
