Cons: The finish

Pros: Intel, Fast
Comment:
I bought two of these drives and put them in RAID 0 to replace a failing mechanical hard drive. I noticed a speed increase since day one and will never go back to using a mechanical hard drive as a boot drive. The only thing I don't like is that the finish holds on to fingerprints very well, but that's on the inside of the computer anyway so it's not noticeable.

Very fast drive, used it in an AMD build for a friend. Very good response time. I find my crucial drive boots up windows a but quicker but that's about it. Got a great deal 109$ sale on black Friday so can't complain for the price. Highly recommended if bought at a good price!!

Pros: Super fast load timesComes with mounting bracket and cables
Comment:
Wanted a SSD for a while now and picked this up on the Black Friday online sale. Windows 8 loads in seconds and all programs load almost instantly. Cloned my boot drive in about 30 minutes with the free software from Intel. Couldn't be happier with this drive and for $108 bucks it was a steal.

Cons: None.

Pros: Easy to install. Included Intel Data Migration program was excellent.
Comment:
Bought this on a Black Friday deal to install in my Acer Laptop. Cables and 3.5" adapter included for desktop. Luckily, I had SATA to USB connection kit and hooked it up to my laptop. Downloaded the Intel Data Migration Tool and it copied over my HDD to the SSD. After that, I just had to take out the HDD and install the SSD and things have worked perfectly. Crystal Disk Mark was 250 MB/s read and 150 MB/s write, which is likely limited by my laptop's SATA 2 interface.

Review Date: 11/26/12
Cons: -Still a bit expensive even on sale-Not the best bang for buck SSD, but the best reliability record of Intel makes up for it-I've noticed after purchase that it's a SandForce Drive (the Intel 330, 335, 520 Series are all SandForce based drives now, wow Intel.) Nonetheless, it should be much more reliable than say, an OCZ Vertex 3.-3 year warranty, not 5 years like the 520 series.-Why is the bottom of the drive unrefined? Oh well, it's just a minor complaint.

Pros: -It's an Intel Product (brand quality)-Looks very nice, case finish actually matches the casing of my silver laptop-It's an SSD, of course it will be much faster than a HDD
Comment:
This is my first SSD purchase, and I had held out for a year to buy one. Luckily, this product had no MIR attached and came on sale during Black Friday. I plan to use it for upgrading a SONY VAIO SE laptop, replacing a 1 year old crummy TOSHIBA 5400rpm hard drive. That drive will end up becoming my external drive after I complete the swap. After cloning the HDD image to the SSD, I got a new boot time of about 25 seconds (with the Windows 7 logo not finished animating). I guess it could go faster with a clean install or maybe some more extreme tweaks done to it, but I'm all right with the result. Note that it had been limited to SATA2 speeds due to a BIOS restriction imposed by SONY. Nevertheless, it is still fast on SATA2.----------------------------------------From CrystalDiskMark (at SATA2 speeds):Sequential Read : 252.821 MB/sSequential Write : 190.858 MB/sRandom Read 512KB : 216.433 MB/sRandom Write 512KB : 182.679 MB/sRandom Read 4KB (QD=1) : 15.599 MB/s [3808.3 IOPS]Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 37.137 MB/s [9066.7 IOPS]Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 179.146 MB/s [43736.8 IOPS]Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 1.572 MB/s [383.9 IOPS] This review was modfied by poster @ 11-27-12 01:15 AM
