Finally bought an SSD after upgrading the rest of my computer including going from 3 raid 0 320GB drives to 4x1TB in a raid 5. Got a new Asus z87-a mobo and i7-4770 with 4x4GB ddr3-1600 ram. Was rather disappointed in the performance was expecting more noticeable difference compared to my old q6600 4GBddr2 setup. After some soul searching decided this Intel SSD had the performance characteristics/price ratio that was acceptable... So glad I did! This thing pumps out 425MB/s write speeds regardless of size of file and reads at 450-550MB/s again regardless as well as my performance test remote .14-.16ms down from my HDD raids random read/write of 16-20ms. While the sequential read speeds are about the same from HDD to the SSD everything in-between is 2-4x better not even including the latency timing. highly recommended!

The 335 series is not necessarily a 'gamers choice' in terms of speeds, but for the size and price you cannot go wrong. Intel has rock solid quality, the product is very stable, and overall these past 5 months of use as my main OS and main game drive has been fantastic. It is a health happy SSD!

I purchased this to update  my jack of all trades rig.I use it with 8GB Corsair, 2500k, ATI 7870 blah blah blah..I purchased it during the initial release sale for $180 and at that price point, it was the best deal. I use this rig for some mild gaming and A/V encoding/transcoding/converting with my OCZ Vertex scratch drive. No issues with speed and conversions.It's an excellent drive given the type of NAND's used. The ample space allows me to load all my apps on the drive aside from games which are on older SSD.Great drive, I would buy again. But certainly not at the regular retail price.

Great SSD Drive.Took about 10 minutes to install into the caseand about 15minutes to tranfer the OS and a mess of programs from a WD Hard drive to the Intel SSD using the Migration Data Tool downloaded from the Intel website.Disconnected the WD and restarted with the SSD with no problems.Installed the SSDToolBox and it checked the system and fixed one thing automatically.It also checked for new drivers but I had the newest.The only thing it did not do was take defrag of the auto run list.Checked the speed next with HD Tune and it reported a 300% speed increase on the SATA 6 Connector Intel Chipset AHCI.Windows Experience Index jumped 2 points.This on a ASUS P8P67 Deluxe
