Replaced an aging Zumax 850 watt that could no longer hold voltage. Could not be happier. Single rail, strong wiring, totally modular. No on/ off switch? Correct....... Consider it helped my slow booting EVGA X58le, fires up considerably quicker and now can manage the mild O/Cing I do ( three.4 on a I 7 920 ) with ease.

Incredibly good package, high top quality paint job and cables. Every thing laid out really well. 100% modular helps a lot. The price is amazing thinking about the single rail and 85+ efficiency. Zero I was employing a Coolmax 850w power supply for a new "encoding machine" construct. When I would pressure my system above 80% load, the power supply fan would spin up really loudly. I knew I required a superior energy answer, but this has exceeded my expectations. I am running (four) AMD Opteron 8356 2.3Ghz quad cores for a total of 16 cores. Below load it puts a lot of tension on the 12v rail, but with the Silverstone energy supply the fan doesn’t even spin up, in fact…it is cool to the touch. So I hugely advise this energy provide for any really serious develop involving high wattage. I feel confident that this energy supply would power just about any higher end technique currently. I have carried out a 24 hour burn in at 95+ cpu usage, and definitely no problems!

Looks quite. quiet operation although it lasted.low cost for its wattage rating. random power downs and I mean RANDOM! occasionally it would function for a week problems free of charge, sometimes it would energy down twice a day by itself. It finally just had smoke pour out of it after a month or so of problems free use. Quite quiet and lots of connectors.I disagree with every person about the 24 pin connector bing also short. It's 55cm long. I have a full ATX case and I had a lot added. The gaps between the SATA connectors on person cords is too long. If, for instance, you use a single cord to hook up a number of drives, then you end up with lots of cord sticking out amongst each drive. Thats not actually a negative thing although, unless you have a genuinely narrow case. Get this even if you don't need to have all the watts; it's a excellent brand and will give you space to grow in the future.

None. Silverstone builds some great energy supplies and I recommend all of their items.

I consider that the cabling is the similar length as the other Silverstone models but since the actual PSU case is shorter, the cable has difficulty bending adequately into the motherboard connecter. *Super quiet*Super cool*Super efficient / minimal heat created for the quantity of DC wattage rectified*Seems like a high-good quality piece of gear (it's heavy)*Modular cables are awesome. My next PSU (if I ever will need one more a single) will be modularI would advise this to a friend! *Too a variety of watts for my develop, but this isn't actually a con since it leaves me with *lots* of upgrade headroom, and just implies that the PSU runs cooler and will final longer*Doesn't make pancakes for breakfast, but this isn't actually a con due to the fact I have a pan and spatula that does that just fine With my new construct, I believed I was going to be running ɯ video cards in CrossFireX, ɰ really hard drives in some type of a RAID array, and that I was going to water cool the whole deal, which in my book equals  watts of power usage. But fortunately I convinced myself that I couldn't justify the extra expense. So right here I am now with one particular video card, only three tough drives in RAID 5, air cooling, and 񘘐 saved. The Kill-a-watt tells me I'm only maxing out at 300 watts which at minimum of 80% efficiency signifies my program is making use of 240 watts :(What a shame. I'm going to have to devote that 񘘐 just to break the 500 watt mark. But no regrets for the reason that of what's listed in the pros

Enormous single 12 volt rail. Fully modular, 80 plus silver certification. And honestly, reasonably priced when you look at the Silverstone pedigree. Equivalent units from other vendors expense nearly double. Its approaching the sensible limits of the ATX spec. Intense gamer hunting for a SLI or Crossfire rig? It all starts with good quality energy, and honestly, it does not get substantially much better than this.

Incredibly potent single rail. It has all the connections I require with out any of that fruity light stuff you see on other brands. The rails are very properly regulated. No more than volting on some and under volting on other people. The power for the video cards has a filter on them to do away with interference and noise. Now my USB powered headset no longer buzzes with this power supply. A little expensive but you get what you spend for. This is my second Silverstone PSU and I'm really proud to say it wont be my last. Folks consider Enermax and Pc P&P when they believe high end. I think Silverstone.

Flawless construction. Completely modular. Above average instruction and item documentation. Decent WATT / $$$ ratio. Weak cooling fan. Awkward return policy. I would've give five eggs couple of weeks ago when I seen an raising "grinding" noise coming out of the case. I usually preserve my machines "clean" so dust collection isn't at fault right here. The PSU cooling fan was barely spinning. Silverstone will not send you a fan for you to replace oneself. You've got to RMA the issue. Couldn't wait so purchased a new a single (same) and I'll have the RMA'd PSU as a spare.Silverstone appears to propose high good quality merchandise and they seems to be appreciated for that on the other hand, it looks like they have issues with their fans. I have an FT01 Fortress situation and 1 of the fan quit. That's the second one particular in few days. As far as I'm concerned, I nonetheless trust Silverstone for their merchandise. We'll see in a near future is this will stand.

In contrast to other modular PSU's, this a single is fully modular, which includes motherboard power connectors. Most PSU's nonetheless have those connectors hardwired. Superior power and stability, and nevertheless very quiet. Worth the extra expense. Definitely none. This isn't the very first modular power supply I've owned, but it is undoubtedly the initially completely modular. As mentioned above, every single single power connection can be disconnected from the unit itself. This tends to make moving wires quite effortless, as there is no want to eliminate the PSU from the situation to re-route any cabling. Merely disconnect any leads that need to be re-routed, and reconnect when finished.

I dare you to come across another properly know brand with these spec at this price tag!! The power out place is conituous peak is close to 1200 watts. Are u joking cables are kinda think so preserve that in thoughts when you wire your case.

Fully modular. Single rail. Runs quiet and cool. two 6ư pin pcie cables. two 6ư pin with 6 pin jumpers coming off of them. Have 1 cable powering every of my gtx 460's. Cables are a lot extended adequate for my antec 900. 24 pin and cpu 8 pin cables are on the inside of the energy provide, with it sitting upside down, in my antec 900. A small spendy but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" and I feel that is true for most power supplies. The discount and mail in rebate helped with this problem. I know some could contemplate it a con to have modular cables but the crucial is the power provide itself, not no matter if it's modular. A quality energy supply won't be noticably hindered by the connectors on the modular cables. I now have far more power than I will ever want, for a few years, maybe. Muahahaha

quiet, tiny size for a 1kw psu, 100% modular (even the mother board energy cable unplugs from this bad boy!)supports three-way SLI with no utilizing adapters for the vid cards. no energy switch, cables could be a inch or so longer to make cable management much easier...as it is, vid cables and mobo cable are too brief to fully hide in the case if your case mounts the PSU at the top. bottom mount instances will not have this difficulty. I'm re-writing a assessment simply because upon additional investigation, it was not my PSU that failed, it was the motherboard that failed and caught fire...literally. psu is fine and is powering a 780i mobo now. direct swap no windows reinstall :D just a chipset driver reinstall. So I apologize for the preceding critique, this energy provide is excellent top quality and has not but failed. it was my p o s 680i board that failed between the processor power connector and the heatsink exactly where it caught fire. the psu fan just sucked up and blew out the smoke that the board was releasing generating it appear as if the psu was the difficulty in particular when the board kept trying to boot anyway. other than the board itself, no harm from the fire, got the psu power cord ripped out of the back in time! :)

Incredibly excellent and solid psu, running gtx-280s sli (power hogs) and a gt 240 for physx along with four hdd's and numerous fans and it pushs almost everything fine with no hiccups. Properly if there is a con, the cables are a pain to operate with so def flex the cables before working with them.
