none DOA: Triggered many installation frustrations, delays in my clients product and űᚨ in shipping for a 1lb package. This is only a suggestion...... If you want it quickly I suggest reordering it yourself. Otherwise you and your consumers have to wait for the package to be shipped and processed from your house prior to they send a replacement. Perhaps reliable customers must have much more clout than this.

I've had this drive operating now from two months devoid of any troubles. Got it in three days plugged it up loaded Win7 on it and it's been fine ever because. No troubles upon install and newegg always makes certain their packaging is leading notch. none Working with this drive for the OS and about to get one more 500GB Seagate for files and such. Seagate hasn't let me down yet. As I've stated someplace around on this web site I still have my very first computer systems HDD (from 10yrs ago) which was a seagate at a whopping 60GB running the OS on my server. There are no difficulties with it other than the S.M.A.R.T. doesn't read right any longer (probably due to the energy surge from lighting which fried the PSU and a few things on the mobo). Quick and basic to install None Ordered this as a 2nd internal drive along with my 1st drive and an external to give me 1TB of disk space. Worked like a charm. No complaints. Encouraged.

It was straightforward to isntall, ran quiet and it was relatively cheap. About three days into the new make, i was finding warnings that the hardrive was failing. and on the forth it went down.. Im RMAing now..

Nice slim drive has potential. Went to set up this drive in our point of sale system and absolutely nothing. So i tried it on an external dock, absolutely nothing. DOA, other than that okay. Had to give it 4 because of DOA. Now only if i could convince my boss to not purchase so cheap...lol it happens.Send it in for rma and we are excellent.

I (sarcastically) adore the fact that for <ŭ far more you can double you HDD size ;).This seriously is a great challenging drive although, and you shouldn't really feel undesirable about obtaining the least expensive SATA drive Newegg sells! It works. Period. Count on Seagate for that! None genuinely. The free shipping was what tipped the balance for this acquire! I was thinking about getting a WD, but newegg dropped in free shipping the day I went to acquire -I couldn't refuse!

I've been monitoring the Drive Health for a handful of months now, an it has been steady declining, it is now down to 66% well being. Needed a fundamental drive to run a tiny program. Good value for what I necessary. No difficulties with the drive. No 'clicking' that the newer Seagates are now known for. Nothing - fit a basic resolution.

None I've had literally hundreds of difficult drives, and although this one wasn't the worst, I can't say it was a lot far better. Soon after Ӳ months in service I started out receiving clicks and the occasional IO error. Things went genuinely south immediately after ӵ months, when the drive started out sporadically dropping communication entirely in the middle of an OS session - that was fun. I must also mention that the Sensible details on this drive is WORTHLESS. The values are gibberish, so you can't accurately establish the drive's situation (i.e. tricky error counts and so forth). The drive also passed Clever tests, both short and extended, all the way up until the day it died. Never ever once more, seagate. back to WD. I purchased it as a cheapie OS drive. you get what you pay for

Worked appropriate out of the box, no troubles whatsoever! None that I've observed: I got what I ordered. Running four of these in RAID0 with Windows 7. Had to load Asus driver as expected, but had no complications during set up. Two of the drives whined a tiny though I was formatting them, but they've been silent since then.

I've had lots of Seagate drives, and they normally function nicely. But this a single came DOA, tick of death and anything, it was nicely packaged, which leads me to think it was negative QC on Seagate's part. I must have bought a Western Digital drive.

Price tag was extremely great, slim drive so it does not produce substantially heat, and is not a heavy drive. I bought a handful of of them for systems that I was developing, and the fisrt drive dies 3 days soon after installation, yet another just died currently. I expected a lot more from this brand, or possibly i just got drives from a bad batch, in any situation no additional seagate for me.
