Comment:
Can't complain. It hasn't died. I use it in my work laptop that is on 8+ hours a day so after a few months the power on hours really adds up... + I leave it on all weekend when on-call so the hours will add up fast. Haven't had a problem yet. Not much you can say about a smaller 7200 drive... It just works.

Cons: Died right after 30 days of use.

Pros: Faster then my old WD Blue 5400RPM which it took out of the Dell Inspiron 1545

Since the drive died so fast i am a bit disappointed. It happened right after the 30 day warranty with NCIX was over so now i have to wait 20 days to RMA with Seagate plus pay shipping. Should have gone with WD Black to begin with.

Installed in my HP mini 110 which had a 160 gb 5400 rpm Seagate drive and not only is the capacity doubled but this one is much faster and SpeedFan shows the same temp. Didn't affect battery life either. Very impressed!

Cons: Advertised as 320gb and it is 300gb really!

I know that there is a discrepancy between the 320gb selling name and the calculated sectors, cylinder, bytes whatever... but by 20gb, it is a little bit far. I'm a little bit disappointed, but the price paid make me less sad so it is okay.

Cons: As with all seagate products, I'm a little worried that it will fail after a year like many of their 3.5inch drives.

Pros: decent price for a 7200 rpm drive.

I replaced this in a computer that didn't get a lot of use so I'm hoping the "seagate" curse doesn't apply to 2.5in drives. I wouldn't put this in a machine that got hours of use each day but it should do fine in this low use computer.

Got this for a SFF PC that uses a SSD for the boot drive. Works well in a 2x2.5 HDD adapter along side the SSD. Only problem is that the connectors are for the two drives are very close and it is hard to plug in the power and SATA connectors. This is not a fault of the drive by any means.

got this for my 3 year old macbook and the thing zooms now. Startup, shut down, opening up iphoto or itunes, everything is quicker now. I have not noticed any change in battery life compared to my old 5400rpm drive which is nice. Also if you run vms a 7200rpm drive is a no brainer.

This was a nice upgrade from my very outdated 80gb 5400RPM drive. It was easy to install, just pop it into the laptop and its ready to go. I had to buy this HDD because my old one died after 4 years of use/abuse. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants a moderate upgrade for their computer. I notice some slight vibrations when it is under heavier use, but perhaps its my shaky HP shell. Also the HDD temperature doesn't run any higher than before(average 45C).
