Pros: Quiet and good CFM.

For the size it this fan is very quiet and has some good air flow. I recommend this over the other 40mm fans.

I bought three of these, two for spares and one to replace a noisy CPU in an older PC. After installing and powering on the system I had to check closely to make sure that the fan running since it was so quiet.

Cons: - Does not come with screws- Does not support 3rd pin for fan-control- Had to force the screws into the plastic- Should have just come with 4 zip ties

Pros: - Whisper quiet- Included 3-pin adapter
Comment:
I bought this to replace an Intel Atom stock fan.I wish I had remembered the zip ties solution for tying fans down to heat sinks, because it was quite a harrowing experience to force screws to thread into the fan's plastic. It worked out in the end, but the amount of force needed was excessive and I'm concerned about the life of the heat sink system now because the heat sink managed to start wiggling back and forth with each twist of the screwdriver (probably due to how the thermal paste was already warmed up).I'm going to round down my rating, since that will have it stand out more than usual. Plus, with all the 4 and 5 star ratings, the 3 star mark I'll give will balance out the system. I really think it's more of a 3.5 star item.

I bought the Mini Kaze to help spot cool my video card. It's small, light and easily suspended, attached or mounted to help cool just about anything you have. Comes with 3 pin adapter. Very good product for the price. Thank you Scythe

Great replacement fan, replaced two 40mm fans on a hot swappable HDD drive bay i bought. So much more quiet with these fans. Love 'em, they are very quiet useful fans, and they basically cost close to nothing.

Cons: -Not a lot of air flow-x

Pros: -Silent-Good
Comment:
Decent silent fan, but the airflow is not great. But for cooling passively cooled chipset, it does the job OK. I used it inside HAF932, and then removed it because the side fan on the HAF was doing a decent job at cooling the chipset heatsink.

Cons: No ability to monitor fan speed (if you have a 3 pin header)

Pros: Very small, quiet and cheap
Comment:
Good price for a great fan. It's very quiet and comes with an adapter (it's a 2 pin fan, but comes with an adapter for 3 pin fan headers on the MB). One thing it doesn't come with is screws, which would have been nice.

Using this on the northbridge heatsink of my Gigabyte DS3 LGA775. The northbridge heatsink without a fan was very hot to touch. Couldn't even leave the finger on for 3 seconds. I installed this scythe and I can touch the northbridge heatsink for as long as I want. It's quiet also. Good to know that the northbridge heatsink ain't running burning hot no more.

Cons: No RPM monitoring and not very much air flow.

Pros: Very quiet, 2 and 3 pin connections.
Comment:
Have purchased several of these to pair with the Enzotech CNB-R1 Northbridge heatsink. This combination makes a very good solution to old burnt out or noisy northbridge fan-heatsinks. Have also used them in network switch equipment to replace noisy OEM fans.

I got this to replace the stock fan on the intel atom mother board. Works great, and unbelievably quite. Fits the exact same as the stock fan takes only a couple minutes to replace.

Cons: Obviously doesn't push much air given size and speed/noise

Pros: Silent, inexpensive
Comment:
As many of the other reviewers I bought this for the chipset heatsink on a dual core atom board. Fits well and is much quieter than the stock fan. Ran prime95 on the system and despite the small case and lack of any other fans besides the psu. Temps were reasonable and I was happy to pass the system on to my client. If the computer was going to be used for anything more than light office tasks I'd consider replacing not just the stock fan but both of the heatsinks as they are low quality.

Pros: Small, relatively cheap on sale

Got this fan to replace a fan on the intel atom motherboards.I would get more if I need them for my other atom boards. This fan fits just right, and works. I've had no issues with the fan in the 3 months it's been running on my atom board.

Cons: No fan speed monitoring.

Pros: Quiet, easy to fit.
Comment:
I bought this to replace the OEM fan attached to the Northbridge heatsink on my dual-core Atom motherboard; overall I'm pleased, it was easy to fit as it's exactly the same size as the OEM fan, produces very little noise, and it seems to cool well enough too.The only minor downside is that it is a 2-pin fan so there's no RPM monitoring. That's not a big deal, but it would be nice to have.

Pros: Decent airflow with very little noise.
Comment:
Installed one of these on my LG home theater receiver to replace a noisy fan. Wow!, the system is quieter than before and it does not get very hot. Maybe a tad more heat then before. Probably due to lower airflow from the fan.I was planning on installing two of them but the one does perfectly.

Fit perfectly with the Atom dual core board. Not much else to say. Was surprised to find out that it didn't come with any screws. Other then that, pretty solid fan. Does its job. 30 words yet? Other then that, pretty solid fan. Other then that, pretty solid fan.

This fan is so quiet I wasn't sure it was on. Replaced the stock fan of my BOXD945GCLF Atom mobo and now the only thing I hear from my server is occasional hd chatter. Don't know why Intel doesn't use these as stock on their mobo's.

This is now cooling the NB on my DFI board. I didn't really need it, and only threw it in as an extra on an order. Overall it dropped temps by 5-10 degrees. Worth the $5 for sure.Overall, whatever your use may be, this is a great little fan, quiet and does it's job perfectly.

Pros: Quiet and good performance2, 3-pin compatibility with adaptor
Comment:
Used this to replace the fan on my HD PVR receiver because it was quite noisy. This one has definitely was quieter but blows just as much, if not more, air. All in all, however, you'd probably be better off getting a bigger fan because they blow an exponentially greater amount of air, but if you're limited by size, this is the best fan NCIX carries at the moment.

Comment:
The chipset on my Biostar TA770 A2+ board gets rather hot. I got one of these fans to strap to the heatsink thinking that it would help the temperatures but alas, it was pretty ineffective. Temperatures might have decreased by a degree, max. For some applications, I'm sure this fan can be somewhat useful but in my case, it did barely anything.

Pros: Silent, good airflow for what it is
Comment:
Been using it on an old GeForce2 MX400 which was slow and unstable with the stock passive cooling. This tiny fan was able to keep it stable and fast. But as good as a 10mm fan gets, with today's super hot chipset, the 20mm version would be a better choice if fits.
