This alien fan lamp hunting factor is a Incredibly awesome cooler. In all probability the best 2nd to extreme 120. I overclock my ip35 pro with e6750 core two duo 2.66ghz to 3.3ghz steady (ortho+prime95 tested over 2 nights) never breaking 50c at max loads. Mainly around 45-47C. (bad abit ddr2 800mhz memory is what is maintaining me from going greater) My new idle is at 20ish c. My old idle with stock is my new max temp lol around 40-45C. Was quite tough to set up, (not just for dumb folks who dont know how to set up appropriate) its seriously a bizzle to install. My Suggestions = Take away your whole mobo and place it on a table exactly where you have no case blocking. That is the most simple remedy. Its big... but fits in my antec 900 case with no prob and fits side fan as effectively due to the fact my mobo position lets it. I heard amd ones dont even though because of the cpu position. Some of the components appear kinda low-cost. The mounting appears a bit unsecure as it is incredibly heavy, but it holds... amazingly... lol. I had to wait yet another week for the new 1 to come given that the old one looked like the box was all opened just before and the bags have been opened up. (im not sure if they all come initially like that even though). I was questioning for the longest time which way to face the fan, either out the prime with my 200mm or out the back with one more 120. I Just decided the back. I heard folks say doesnt make considerably diff at all.I thought i did my hw but i guess the new "EXTREME 120" by thermalright beats this one. Properly as well late to acquire that now. But for 50 bucks what ever, this a single nevertheless rocks. I feel i created the error thinking this was superior than the 120 but didnt see the "extreme" 120 a single.

I recently constructed a pc (to sell) and utilised this cooler on a socket 775 Core2Duo at two.33 GHz. I also replaced the fan with a Silverstone FM122 鲮.03 CFM.) That and the intake and exhaust fans are the Scythe ULTRA KAZE 鲸MMx120MMx38MM at 133.six CFM every) all this helped keep the core at a very cool 18 decrees Celsius. None. I am arranging on obtaining yet another for 1 of my other computers (GigaByte 945P-DS3/Core2Duo two.33 GHzǚ GB DDR2 @ 5300묦 GB hard drive space/lots of other goodies.)

Its a great cooler with an adjustable fan control. Functions like crazy on higher. Lets face it, there are coolers that perform a little greater and expense a tiny much less but this 1 is the greatest searching. That was my purpose. It looked cool and did the job. Thad added plus was it has the very best mount of any cooler. Nice brass screws and powerful metal on every part. No cheesy clips here. None Check your clearance. I have it in NZXT lexa now and it just clears the side fan

Cools wonderful - this thing is large!!! fourǛ mainly because of the lousy AM2 mount. It does press the cooler down quite properly, but for anything this heavy, I wanted a thing a bit far better. If there was some sort of essential mechanism that wouldn't let the heatsink to slide about so considerably with AM2 sockets, then it would be ideal. Also, you cannot install it sideways with AM2. Not the ideal for AM2. Wiring for fan controller is a bit short. Seems like it would be a lot better if you had been working with yet another sort of socket. At 1st I believed I had a defective unit, simply because the ends of three of the heatpipes looked melted and disfigured like it was a manufacturing defect, but upon seeking at other men and women's, they are all this way. Sort of odd.

Extremely quiet on its lowest speed setting. Major. Can be a bit unruly through the set up. I am restricted to new case options because quite a few will not fit this heat sink in them.

Keeps my CPU cooler than my old one (have not applied a stock fan in a very long time).Blue light. All the lights in my case are blue so that was a plus and it was on sale for the identical price as the non-lighted.Heat pipes bring the sinks up a bit and that left plent of area for the heat ducts and sinks on my MB (Maximus Formula) Extremely TALL. I have the Antec Nine Hundred case and had to take the side fan off so the panel would close. Make positive you have a deep case. I did not like obtaining to take the side fan off. I have 1 4870 installed and a 4870x2 on the way. The way the fan is set up (inside the heat sink, cool) I am hoping will pull the hot air away from my video cards.

Incredibly powerful cooler. Heavy duty building and appears incredibly effectively produced. Quite quiet. Low rpm fan is really efficient. I've never noticed cpu ccore temps on my Wolfdale CPU get more than 41C although operating Prime95. Let me start off by saying all these flaws are MINOR provided the great cooling power of this device, but they add up to a frustrating installation knowledge. It's big and tough to set up and challenging to perform with inside a case. You ought to set up this with the motherboard out of the case. The edges are SHARP so be prepared for some pain when routing fan and power cables in your case. The fan power cables are ugly and super-low cost looking speaker wire. The fan speed is manually controlled by knob on a PCI slot back-plate - knob for which must be removed and cannot truly be used when installed - I just turned mine up all the way all the time since it is so quiet. The cable that runs from the speed adjuster isn't lengthy sufficient to attain back to the CPU fan energy on my motherboard (Gigabyte EX38-DS4), so I had to route it to the nearest (SYSFAN2) connector. Some steel-wool-shavings had been left on the edges of the heatsink - scary! Docs are unclear. Mounting program is awkward. Blue lighting appears cool in the dark if you have a clear case window, but is challenging to see and relatively dim in lighted conditions - you might be better off saving a few bucks and going with the non-lighted version if you have other case lighting installed. The mounting backplate is held on with double-side tape until you tighten the screws although generating confident springs keep in place and all 4 holes line up - the whole mounting program seemed awkward, but is safe once it is in place and nicely tightened.

I upgarded from a Pentium 4 651 3.4 ghz to a e4500 c2d. I wanted something better than the stock cooler. Beofre this cooler the heat from my final cpu created my dual 8800GT's idle at 56-59c. With the new cpu it idles at 25-27c and my 8800GT's idle at 48-50c. I ran Orthos that maxes cpu to 100% and the cpu sat at 39c. As soon as I stopped Orthos, it dropped promptly to the low 30s prior to stopping at 25-27c. I am making use of ArticSilver five. This is not actually a con, but the H bracket did not fit my motherboard. I have an older P5NSLI and while site mentioned there was adequate room, there wasn't. I created positive the Tuniq was not too high for my case but it was the H bracket that gave me difficulties. I have three transisters near the socket. They don't appear close until you pull out the H bracket. I filed down 3 notches in the H bracket about 1ቬ-1Ǟ deep and 1ǚ wide. Fit fine right after that. Despite the fact that it took some additional operate, it was properly worth it. The motherboard desires to come out to install the back plate. No biggie as I was capable to take all componats out and clean them with compressed air to blow of the dust. I know this is no longer the champion of coolers like the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme, but I got this here for more affordable than the present list price and it has its personal fan. The Thermalright heatsinks are far more expensive and you require to purchase a fan also. I will be trying a moderate OC from two.two to 3. this week but do not have any issues with heat. You can do greater than this for functionality and price.

The Tuniq T-120 dropped my idle temps by 15 degrees C more than the stock cooler on my AMD Athlon64 X2 6000 processor. (before 38C right after 23C) The fan is very quiet even when it's running complete blast. General my method is considerably quieter than with the stock cooler. After two hours of COD4 temps are @ 36 to 38C more than-clocked to three.3ghz where before adding the T-120 have been around 52-56C with no more than-clocking.General, I am extremely pleased with this acquire. None with the setup I have. Might interfere with some DDR memory sticks with tall heatsinks. May possibly also interfere with some case side panel fans. Might not match in some smaller, narrow cases. I installed this on my Asus M2N SLI Deluxe mobo with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ processor. 4GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 and two XFX 8600 GTS video cards in SLI mode. The match is fine, but the side panel case fan on my case had to be removed. I have had no temp troubles due to removing this fan and relocating it to the front of the case.Installation: The T-120 is huge so prior to attempting to set up it, removed most of the elements for my case. The one the helped most was the removal of the PSU. With this removed, the install was incredibly straightforward.

This Cooler is nonetheless cooling powerful on it's 2nd life on my new AM3 Quadcore program. Temps keep cool in the low 30's C even after gaming for a number of hours. It is very big, and even with my complete tower case, it's snug swapping drives with this installed. Even although it does not list it in it's compatibility specs, this cooler fit just fine on my unlocked AM3 AMD Phenom II X2 560 Black Edition Callisto three.3GH OC'd to 3.6GH

I can say, this is by far THE very best cooler. This thing rocks, it is quite silent, cools actually, I mean Seriously well. Cools greater than my watercooling setup that costs more than 赨 and was louder and featured two 120mm fans. Back to the Tuniq. I just dropped the Tuniq into a CoolerMaster 690 case, purchase that as well. Effectively, my cpu is an e6750 oc'd to two.8ghz. stock is two.66ghz. With this cooler I get 33-34c idle with the fan speed at medium. At which point it is a lil far more than a hum. BTW, I only have the stock fansƓ 120mm) in the case and its really seriously great. So,soo significantly better than my prior setup. I also went with the Antec earthwatts 500 PSu. This helped out alot on decreased heat and noise. Even so, nothing at all is ideal and so with this cooler my PWM temps have rose to 57c at idle and my chipset is at 47-49c at idle. I belive the explanation for this is the enormous size of this cooler. And it sort of blocks Almost everything about it. Also, my cpu temps with the water cooler had been slightly higher than the tuniq. But, the PWM and Chipset temps have been reduced than with the tuniq. Im going to get yet another fan or two and attempt to direct airflow in the chipset/pwm area. Hopefully I can rectify the scenario and not devote also significantly additional cash and not get my Computer any louder.

Ideal temps I've ever seen w/o water cooling. Fits in on my Q9550 Quad in a Cooler Master Stacker 830 case, no problems. On an Evga 790i Ultra MB. Basic to set up, straightforward. None. If size is an concern, do not get this cooler. It is substantial. Make positive you have the space to accomodate it's Height. 131mm ƕ.15in.) x 108mm Ɣ.25in.) x 153mm Ɩ.025in.) Just an great cooler, I was really surpised by it's efficiency. Even with my Coolermaster 830 Stacker series full tower, I had to take away one particular of my four 120mm fans from the door. This doesn't bother me just due to the fact the primary cause for that fan in the initial place was CPU ventilation, which is not needed now.

I haven't seriously tried this product but I'm positive it would preserve your CPU cool! Quite huge and incredibly heavy! Wouldn't even fit in my case and I doubt it would stick on for really extended. Greater to get a thing smaller sized. Be certain to measure your Computer's dimensions from motherboard to case lid cover as nicely as something else that may be in the way!

Despite the bulky size of the heatsink, it lives up to the hype on how quiet it is. I use this on a Q6600-based Computer mainly used for music production and it does an excellent job at keeping the CPU cool. (The Pc runs at a continuous 28C.) It's extremely quiet at it's lowest setting which is enough for most scenarios and isn't that much louder when the RPM's are turned up. Picture attempting to rearrange your living space with an elephant sitting on the couch. The installation is fine, the included hardware holds the heatsink incredibly solidly in place, but any modifications you will need to make to your motherboard are gonna be very challenging to do. This heatsink virtually completely blocks access to one of the mobo's screws and a PSU connection. I can still access the connections, it just takes some careful maneuvering. The pros in this evaluation incredibly hugely outweigh the cons here. The performance of this heatsink/fan is very worth the added few minutes of maintenance you may invest while working inside the pc.

Operates--keeps my CPU happy. Placing it on was frustrating but rewarding--in a Legos sort of way. Heavy and huge. Tends to make me want to develop a robot. Inspired me to let it sit in my office for a handful of days so men and women would ask me, "What the hell is that?" In other words, it enhanced by geek quotient.

If you have area in your case, and on your motherboard, for this enormous cooler than acquire it promptly! Awesome functionality; dropped my CPU temps by just about 15 degrees Celsius, each idle and under load! I am operating my AMD 5200+ overclocked to three.05, and my chip idles at 24 degrees in an Antec 900 case! Unbelievable for an air cooler! Size! This point is enormous...I had to give up the side 120mm fan option on my Antec 900 case simply because this issue nearly touches the clear window...but it is nicely worth it simply because of the functionality. I would like to see how this stacks up with some of the top rated Zalman Coolers, I am actually that impressed.

It's bulky, positive, but it's great. It keeps my double overclocked Core 2 E4300 (by double, I mean I doubled the GHz) down to a 39-40 C variety. I'd recommend that you get MX-2 thermal compound. Directions kind of bland but so is the installation. IF you have massive northbridge copper heatsink and tubes going from northbridge to southbridge you may have problems finding it in, but don't let that discourage you: get it, if it doesn't fit send it back! It's worth it! Make certain you have the room! The height you want to measure for is 153mm I Think! I AM NOT Certain! But I know I had about 160mm / 16 centimeters of area in my case, and it's a fairly tight fit for me. but it does match well!

Kept my E6420 cool for 3 years OC'd to three.2GHz from the stock 2.4GHz, even with fan turned all the way down. Employed with Arctic Silver thermal compound. Appears cool thru side window. Adjustable fan speed. Fan not terribly quiet when cranked all the way up. Huge, had to eliminate my side fan and fabricate a new side window to make area for it. In spite of the size and the noise level, I suggest this, even though it's way out of date now.

Seems to be carrying out a much better job than my old 9500. Proper now I'm running with a slight OC Ɠ.42 up from 3.16) and temp is holding at 33. Just barely fit into Antec 900 case. Pain to install. WILL NOT Fit THE ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA Without MOD! I had to take the dremel to the "H" bracket to get rid of bulging places for mounting on K8 chip.Don't like that the fan speed manage isn't an option. Had a really hard time fitting it subsequent to other cards. They could have performed a far better lapping job on the CPU block. I practically bagged it and installed the stock fan on my E8500. Glad I stuck it out, though. Seems like it actually does a halfway decent job. Not seeking forward to the next time I have to swap out RAM, even though....
