I bought a couple of these HD 3000 ebcams that were recently on sale for $25. One for my wife and the other for her mother so they could Skype with each other and friends. Set up was extremely easy. Plug them in and drivers install immediately. LifeCam software installation is optional. Image quality is pretty good at 720P and better than I expected for a cheap webcam. I may buy a couple more of these if the price is right.

I took this webcam cause the old one I have had an auto focus option. The 3000hd Life has a fixed focus, 720P, and if you are lucky you can pricematch it at 27$.

Bought this product a while ago for use with Skype. The camera is very good and the microphone as well. There has been no problems with it whatsoever. One thing that I would like to see is that the cable can be a bit longer. I believe it's just around a meter long (or 1.3). An extra 50 to 70 cm wouldn't hurt at all.I would definitely recommend this product when it's on sale, because I don't think it's worth 60 bucks (more like in the 20s).
