Simple setup for creating my own Pc. Functions effectively with Phenom II X4, and six GB G-Talent memory.Onboard video is fine for 2D applications. Onboard video doesn't handle 3D incredibly properly but that is anticipated. It would, nonetheless, be good to have a couple of PCI-e slots rather of 1. A lot packed into a modest board - space could be an challenge depending on your application but general, it's been wonderful.

Wonderful motherboard. Slapped 16 gig of memory in it. Utilised a AMD Phenom II X4 810 Deneb two.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor . Employed the raid 10 function successfully. Operating 2003 server. Good board for the cost no on board video. slapped a low cost video card in the PCIe slot. No problem. lot less expensive then purchasing a server board.

Had an concern with the CMOS jumper study below. Great board although lots of functions for the price. I bought 4 of these for workplace computer systems they all worked nicely. I didn't get to play with any overclocking setting considering that they are workplace computer systems, but every thing is there you require. The manual had a error, The jumper for "clear cmos" was shown in the wrong position. The boards wouldn't boot until I figured our what was causing it. The manual shows the regular operating position for the jumper, but in reality the position they show is really the position for clearing the cmos! So i switched it and they worked fantastic.

It was straightforward to install and very aesthetically pleasing. Bios was straightforward to update and it recognized my phenom II x6 1055 with no trouble whatsoever. It even has easy access alternatives for more than-clocking. I have however to see any downside to this really effective and well created board. None whatsoever. Great in just about every way. I advocate this board to any individual hunting to develop a solid amd machine with no going bankrupt on fancy shenanigans like usb three.. This will very basically rock your planet with the power of stability and value.

Was low-cost right after rebate. Disk did not perform. Could not download some of the utilities. Immediately after speaking with support, they would not email them to me. So had to wait 1 week for a new disk rather of overnighting one particular to me. After loading the GPU utility, CPU consistently runs at one hundred% even immediately after attempting many items. I have cool n quiet enabled. Will not boot with C1E enabled. Clear CMOS jumper is set backwards vs. what it mentioned in the manual. There are three temp sensors. 1 I consider is related to the onboard graphics runs about 13 degrees celcius hotter than the rest of the motherboard. No 800 number for tech assistance. I have a biostar 785G3 and it does not have these troubles. Appears like I got a bad board. I'm returning it. Considering that it requires so long performing issues by mail, I'm just purchasing on in town. Shipping took over a week, even even though supposed to be 3 days. I hope they refund me as they mentioned. So for my knowledge with New Egg has been significantly less than satisfactory. Manufacturer Response:100% CPU continually as in tasks in Windows? Sounds like your method has some sort of computer software running in background causing higher cpu usage. Flexible? Forgot to add to my final overview: this board flexes a lot. It creaks/cracks/bends. It sounds terrible. You know it just can't be good. Even soon after a bit of abuse although, it seems okay. My case just didn't have tapped holes for standoffs for the two on the proper of the board, so it flexed a bit there, but also on the bottom where there were no places for standoffs. I was worried I may possibly have damaged the board. It even cracked when I had it in my hands with the heatsink on it ahead of putting it in, just from the sheer weight. Heck, I feel it did it under its own weight, before I even put the heatsink on.

* Steady out-of-box with DDR3 1333* On-board LEDs to indicate BIOS memory status is nice* MemTest64+ in BIOSWould recommend to a pal for a workhorse slash lighweight machine. *Super inexpensive-o IO panel baffle. Bend it cautiously!*Only one PCI-E slot* Board depth is ӭcm quick of becoming in a position to use common rear uATX screw mounting points-- primary energy connector have to be plugged in at the finish of a "diving board". A bit scary. *Manual common for price tag-point (meaning typically poor, but in-line with the industry).

For a cheap board it does exactly what I need to have and wanted it to. It unlocked the fourth core on my AMD Phenom II X3 740 Black Edition and fits nicely into my Inwin Dragon Slayer case. I haven't tried to overclock the proc yet but I am confident that I shouldn't have any troubles. I'm carrying out alright with a 4 cores at 3.0GHz for now even though. LOL! none

-Supports up to 16GB of DDR3 1600 (requires manual BIOS configuration)-Supports Hybrid Graphics-Gigabit LAN -Manual failed to state to use Biostar's show driver in order to enable Hybrid Graphics. Hybrid Graphics is a neat function that enables the onboard graphics card to boost the 3D performance of the external a single. Regrettably, it only enhances low-end video cards. The common 3D performance raise is about 25% at 1600 x 900, and about 65% at 1280 x 720. To enable Hybrid Graphics, you will will need an AMD graphics card that supports it (I utilized a 5450), the proper BIOS configuration, and the drivers supplied by Biostar. Inside the BIOS, you will require to assign 256MB of RAM to the onboard graphics card, enable Surround View, and then select PCI-GFX0-GPP-IGFX as the VGA boot order. Then boot into Windows and set up the show driver offered by Biostar (v8.7). The newest show driver from AMD (v8.8) DID NOT permitted me to enable Hybrid Crossfire. Some thoughts about the Biostar drivers. In order to install the show driver, you will need to have to do it by installing the chipset drivers. Nevertheless, DO NOT install the AMD SATA and USB drivers. They are legacy drivers for Windows

Good board. Plugged every thing in and fired it up and lo and behold we have liftoff. This is a fantastic basic econo board. None. The video is trash but you know that coming in to this board. I will add a fantastic vid card when I have a couple hundred additional laying around. Meantime it performs well as it need to. No complaints. Operating AMD six core, SSD C drive, 2TB striped RAID, 8GB ram, Win 7-64. It screams. Constructed this for vid editing and will double the ram and add an Adobe authorized vid card in the future. Meantime it runs excellent.

combo price tag with amd 255. Good gpu for integrated, lots of options, lots of alternatives for overclocking, bio unlocking for extra cores. 4 dimm slots. First 1 was DOA but Newegg subsequent day aired a replacement and saved Xmas for my daughter as this create was her present. I rated the board well regardless of the DOA as this can and will occur when in a although to any firm. automated overclock does not do substantially at the "V6" setting, unnoticeable in fact. I bought this with a 255 dual core amd am3 chip and DDR3 1333 but even though the chip "supports" 1333 it reduces it to 1066. Not the boards fault. this make scored a 4.5 for aero and a five.4 for enterprise graphics on windows 7 ult 64bit.

Functions far better than my DFI Infinity from 4 years ago, which never ever worked appropriate since day a single and has only gotten worse.Nearly anything worked fine except ethernet out of the box on Windows 7 (x64) Expert. Following installing drivers from www.biostar.com.tw, ethernet worked good. - Worst dilemma so far: Realtek ethernet chipset requirements drivers off of www.biostar.com.tw for it to work in my stock Windows 7 (x64) Expert installation, which implies needing one more laptop to download them and place them on a flash USB stick/thumb drive to transfer them.- Only 3 crowded PCI slots. Make sure you get a low profile video card. I knew this, and did. No difficulties. All 3 PCI slots work fine, I feel.- Affordable bubblegum-like thermal compound on north and southbridge, like on almost all motherboards.- I don't know if it's running my RAM at the rated 1600, but it all appears to perform fine, what ever it is. I don't know if there's a place I can adjust that.- Confusing automated overclocking technique. V6 engine? V8? V12? I have it set to V6 and am afraid to set it to V8 or V12 for worry of obtaining to reset the CMOS, which is of course, and as generally, buried in my case behind cables now. I may possibly just use manual overclocking. Haven't employed it to unlock cores however. Perhaps in the future.

Fantastic board was in a position to unlock my phenom II X3 toa 4th core and stable none so far Just a heads up for the previous overview...a motherboard "beeping when it begins up" is a very good sign and normal if you have a motherboard speaker on. that signifies your bios is posting accurately. Now if it did not beep then that would be a genuine con as your motherboard is kaput

It works, and it unlocked my Sempron 140. The Bios is not up to the requirements set by the Gigabyte board in my major laptop or computer. It operates, and it has advanced capabilities. Nevertheless, it is not user friendly in comparison.

Less expensive than other boards though getting a newer chipset for the price tag range. Also, I was searching for some thing with integrated video considering that I'm not a gamer and don't need a video card to do almost everything including be my chauffeur. Also, based on the evaluations so far it has a low failure rate, which is worth a lot more than anything. It doesn't have a firewire connection, and very few audio connections. Even so, I knew that going in and don't genuinely need them right now anyway. Wish it had far more USB ports. The failure rate of motherboards is astounding! I bought this to replace a board with additional attributes which I received DOA. It's worked whereas the much more expensive board did not.It recognized my Phenom II x6 1055T with no more work from me. I was glad for that.

It has a ton of overclocking tools and unlocked my dual core into a quad core with the touch of a button (core 01 was negative and I had to to use cmos to disable it creating it a third core) I dont believe you can hyrbid crossfire with any superior cards but I could be incorrect The Radeon 5830 looks beast on this board.

I did not acquire this board from Egg but just to place a review on the shortcomings of the board's difficulties.Nice board - does function out of the board. No problem operating with the Phenom II X3 710, eight Gb of RAM, and running Windows 7 Premium 64 bit for more than two months. Till yesterday, attempted to explore the overclocking feature and set the AUTO V6 alternative in the BIOS and it went blank ideal away. Tried resetting the BIOS on the board to defaulting and was not operating. Checked the CPU and the CPU is very good. Checked the board with an additional working CPU and confirmed the board is dead.Be careful with working with the overclocking attributes come with this board. Will try to contact Biostar to see if they repair or replace the board beneath warranty.

- Straightforward set up- Lots of included hardware (screws, cables, and so on)- Superb array of ports and card slots- Runs cool - In my HTPC situation, two of the 4 RAM slots had been covered by the optical drive, but this is primarily the fault of the situation and not the mobo. Fantastic selection for a low-expense HTPC or mom-laptop build.

The mobo was properly created, extremely effortless to assemble, every thing was clear and simple to see, and so on. I would be incredibly pleased with it if it wasn't DOA I think. Came with IDE and SATA cables. DOA. Waiting for a refund, I feel I'm gonna upgrade to an AsRock with USB3 and far more PCI express2. I also like the optical out on the ASRocks.

Be certain to install the video drivers windows will recognize it but overall performance sucks at firsts.
