I've been using Taiyo Yuden for a while now, I used to think Verbatim was the only best brand but Taiyo are as good if not a bit better than Verbatim, but most of all they are cheap! Great quality DVD, never gets errors and burns anything well (Games, Photos, Apps, Movies) |

Top of DVD is silver with no logos or writing, so it can be difficult to determine which end is up.
Pros: No Wasted packaging, re-use an old spindle. Remarkable quality vs price, I burn at 24x with no errors. Comment:
After extensive internet research into DVD media, I came across many reviews for Taiyo Yuden DVD products. Taiyo Yuden manufactures high end archive DVD's that can reliably store data for 50 - 70 years as opposed to 20 or so from its better known competitors. It all has to do with the "dye" the DVD's are coated with, Taiyo Yuden just has higher quality expectations. I will never use anything else. |

Cheap packaging. It's just wrapped in thin plastic with no spindle or physical support.
Pros: High speed, great sale price, no problems with the discs. Can't go wrong with these. Comment:
The discs are fine, no failures, high speed, good sale price. Only downside is cheap packaging. Hopefully you've kept spindles from past purchases of CD-Rs or DVD-Rs that you can use to contain your stack of 100 DVD-Rs. |

Obviously much depends on how the dye hold up over the years - but I've had super luck with various versions of TY DVDs.
Pros: TG03burning speeds shown up to 16X - I usually burn at lower speed and verify. So far no errors on half of pack one... Comment:
Basically like many others, I get a bunch of these when on sale - though past versions have been TG02s with lower burning speeds. It's always a relief to find out that the current bunch work perfectly as past ones. So far I haven't been disappointed! |

Great budget DVDs.Had one or two weird ones so far that didn't burn so well. Not a big deal when they're only 20c a pop.The dvds don't come with a storage case, so be ready to have your own on hand. The dvds just come shrink wrapped, nothing more. |

I was waiting to buy TY media but they was always BO so i bought Verbatim disc.My friend got a spindle of TY so he gave me some of them for try it.I had no problem at all.Will continue to buy Verbatim. |

Flawless writing on those DVD media and no issue reading burned DVD on various players. Taiyo Yuden is the best brand and even at that price, it's still the same quality as more expensive media. |
Don't be fooled by the name "Value line". These discs are awesome. I've distributed probably five or ten thousand of these to clients over six years and have yet to have one come back. I could count on one hand the number of bad discs, and even then I can't say for sure the problem wasn't the fault of the burner. These discs rock and I wouldn't think of using anything else.
