Cons: Doesn't get along with wireless N

Pros: Great sound quality, AMAZING chat function, very comfortable
Comment:
These bad boys are quite amazing. The sound quality is superb (you can hear people sneaking up behind you) and the mic is very crisp and it handles the chat functions very well. The battery life is pretty good as well (I bought two sets of rechargeable AAA's and just swap out as needed) They're also not very heavy and I've gone several hours of gaming with these on without issue. The only negative about these is they don't get along very well with wireless N. This is mostly due to the fact that wireless N uses a good chunk of the available spectrum so it's bound to overlap. This can lead to pops and crackles which wouldn't be horrible except no matter what level you have the volume set at, they will come through at full volume which can get painful. Since PS3's only come in wireless G and i have an older xbox with a wireless G adapter it's really a non issue as all i have to do is disable my laptop and i'm fine. If you have a new 360 with the built in wireless N this might be an issue, not sure though.

Cons: Sound Management, Price

Pros: Good sound, Prologic works good, Wireless
Comment:
Although the sound coming from these headphones is great, the sound management isn't. When the bass is turned on, the volume level goes down, which is understandable so it can divert some of its power to the bass. However, when the volume doesnt have any bass, the volume goes back up. When you have it at max volume, it is not overpowering when the bass is actually working, then there is no bass for them to manage and you find yourself drowning your ears in treble frequencies and can hurt the ears at times. This is only minor as it only happens few and far between and probably will not happen to most users.Digital positional audio is spot on, though not quite as good as physical 7.1 speakers, you'll find your enemies with no problems.Works well with the PC as well, has an optical out on the motherboard but I've mostly used it for music so I haven't really tested wether the surround works on it.Rechargable batteries last about 1 week before they start crackling (not enough to be annoying) then turn off an hour or so later. I'm using energizer's 850mAhIf it weren't for the audio levels, this would definately get a 5 star rating, but for that I'm giving it a well deserved 4 stars.

Cons: Transmitter has to be positioned away from other electronics, (1-2)m should do it.

Pros: Great sound quality, comfortable, easy to use.
Comment:
Awesome product so far, great sound quality and volume. They fit comfortably and are easy to set-up. Great buy for anyone looking for a more immersive experience (gaming or not). It may take 5 minutes or so to find the right spot for the transmitter to prevent interference from causing some clicking, but once I got it in the right spot I could go up to the next floor of my house and still hear everything fine. Live chat cable is great and mine fits well, however it will hiss out of game if you don't turn the chat volume down a bit.

Cons: Loose cable, manufacturing fault replaced by Turtle Beach free of charge.

Pros: Build Quality. Performance.
Comment:
Researched a few different makes but picked these... very expensive but.... the quality of the sound is just AWESOME.... a truely emmersive experience than enhances every aspect of game playing. The build quality is superb with a 19 hour session happening without any discomfort. The built in mic and features there of are just great... but it is the fact that I can hear people long before they emerge that is just amazing... it is cheating without cheating.GREAT product.

Cons: hissing sound due to RF signal. Not loud enough

Pros: wireless,sounds great, comfy
Comment:
Headphones does everything i wanted out of them. The sound quality is very good. However, they are sometimes not loud enough. The reason i chose these over all else is because they were the only ones where i could hook up my PS3 AND XBOX 360 with Optical cables at the same time without changing cables around. Also letting me cable it through my amp so i can get sound through Headphones and Home Theatre with Dolby 5.1 encoding (and we're not talking about Pro Logic). I even got to use the Stereo Output connect to PVR. Its perfect. well worth the 250 i paid.

Cons: A little uncomfortable, chat cable seems cheap...

Pros: Wireless is real nice and virtual surround sound is amazing!
Comment:
They are great! They are comfortable for about 2 hours or so. The optical loop is handy if you are running optical signal somewhere else. Only problem with it is that the transmitter has to be turned on in order for the loop to work. I would also recommend ordering a replacement chat cable at the same time you order the headset. I read reviews and that was the only problem people have had. I think mine was only $10, so its worth having a spare chat cable around in case one fails. Would definitely buy agian and recommend to friends! This review was modfied by poster @ 02-18-10 08:37 AM

The sound quality and comfort is worth the price but the cord is not up to standard. I have had issues with crackling noises due to loose fitting headset plugin

Cons: Having popping sounds coming through on Xbox when volume is low. Labelled as being 7.1 compatible but 7.1 is only available through HDMI and these headphones have no HDMI connection so you can only get 5.1 sound.

Pros: Great 5.1 sound reproduction. Lightweight and comfortable and don't make your ears heat up!
Comment:
I managed to get these headphones PM'd to bring the price down enough so I didn't feel TOO bad about getting them.I wanted the headphones not just for the 360, but also the PS3 so I hooked up a toslink splitter cable so I didn't have to disconnect / re-connect between the consoles.Once I'd managed to get the setup done correctly (didn't have the Dolby Digital processing ON initially!) the sound was great. I tried Wall-E blu ray from the PS3 and the 5.1 reproduction was amazing. On the 360, I've been getting a lot of popping sounds coming through. They are loud as you usually have the volume loud. It seems to come through while the games are loading and no sound id being outputted from the console. I'm thinking it has something to do with the toslink splitter I'm using. When you're actually in the game, sound is great.I'm not a huge Live gamer so I haven't tested the mic performance. The headphones themselves are really comfortable and lightweight and don't heat up yours ears too much as they have a mesh type cushioning.

Cons: Chat wire doesn't fit as snug as it should. Some static and popping issues as a result of wireless interference.

Pros: Extremely comfortable, especially for longer gaming sessions.Excellent sound quality.
Comment:
First of all, these are a little expensive at $175-$199CDN. After reading countless threads and reviews on the internet I decided to try these out for myself. The headband of the headset is very well cushioned and was comfortable after a couple hours of gaming compared to other headsets which usually hurt after an hour or so. The earphones themselves are well built, but Turtle Beach should implement some sort of cooling system as I found my ears were rather hot after a little while. As with any wireless device, this may not work as well if you are using it next to a wireless router. The magic number seems to be to position the base and yourself at least 5' away a wireless router and never in between your router and another wireless device.I was unfortunate enough to have a faulty headset, the volume control did not work and when I used it the headset would screech while I was wearing it then power down. I haven't got a replacement yet but as far as I know this is an isolated incident.Overall this is a worthwhile headset, if you experience any issues you should check out the Turtle Beach forums where the customer service representative will be able to help you.

Cons: Price.. Considering this costs almost as much as the entire xbox does. Some background noiseNo sound cancelling.. even at low volume people around you can hear what your listening to/ vise versa you can hear them.

Pros: Wireless7.1 surround soundgood but not overpowering bassgood range (though you cant walk around your house further then a couple rooms away)VERY light weightvery comfortableI really like the voice back (it plays your own voice so you can hear what your saying) which i found myself talking to myself a couple times LOL.
Comment:
O.K. value, pretty expensive.. but they're very comfortable and communicating with your gamer friends is much easier. Overall a good buy. Buy these if you have the money!
