Pros: excellent performancesmall size, comes with small USB extension cablenice price for the performance Comment:
This is an awesome little USB stick, I'm very impressed. I bought it on sale for a desktop that had a horrible wireless PCI card in it, and I'm glad I did. The speed is excellent, running on either G or N, and the reception is good even with a distance and more than 4 walls in between the stick and the router. Definitely recommend this stick |

Cons:
Bigger than other USB adapters I've used in the past
Pros: Great rangeStable Comment:
When I was on wireless G, I would get 2 bars in my room (a floor above and on the other end of the house from the router).I've since upgraded to wireless N and with this adapter I get 5 bars and a consistent download speed. I didn't have any problems setting it up, I downloaded the driver files from the TrendNet website and installed them using the Device Manager driver wizard. I'm yet to have a connection drop or speed related issue with this product. |

Pros: Low PriceGood Range Comment:
I bought this wireless adapter in June when it was on sale, it was a bargain for twenty bucks. My computer is hided in the corner of my bedroom and the wireless router is placed on the living room, the signal is still quite strong and the speed is fast. After you install the software then it is ready to use, quite an easy process. |

Cons:
No included USB extender cable.
Pros: Fast (once configured correctly). Comment:
Bought for my HTPC because I did not want to drill holes in my ceiling for GBLan. Works well once the router (paired this with a Trendnet 639) is configured properly for Wireless-N.Unfortunately I am communicating through 3 walls, a ceiling and a washer/dryer, so I had to plug it into the front of my HTPC (ugly) for better throughput.Gets warm after sustained file copying, but should be fine. Regular tasks like surfing and movie streaming are good. |

Cons:
- Gets fairly warm
Pros: - Good price, when on sale- Solid connection- Maximizes thoroughput Comment:
I don't know what the review below is smoking, but this adapter can connect at draft-n speeds of 300 Mbps and handle tranfers at 10 MB/sec (yes, Megabyte) at 2.4GHz 40Mhz 802.11n in your home LAN.Depending on how fast your ISP downstream is, you can reach the max under good conditions. I am able to download at 1.3 MB/sec (again, Megabyte) using this adapter from http/ftp/bt.The most important factor in getting this adapter to work optimally is drivers. Do not download or use the Trendnet adapters. If you investigate this unit's ID, you will find that it uses an RALINK chipset. Specifically, it uses the RALINK RT2870 chipset. Google RALINK, download the drivers for the RT2870 USB adapter.Install with these drivers and you will get a much more solid connection. You should get a minimum of 150 Mbps if you are looking at long range usage. For close range usage, such as in a condo or apt, you should get 216-300 Mbps provided there is not that much interference and your router is operating on a channel that isn't in conflict with too many other ssids.I'm using this on an Acer Revo 3610 nettop/HTPC and I can stream 1080p and 720p content without any dropped frames or desynchronized audio/video. Seeking is repsonsive and fast, a sign that the connection is strong and isn't fluctuating. For optimal results, configure the adapter to operate in Multimedia/Gaming mode (go into wireless adapter properties and change accordingly) and disable the computer from putting this device to sleep. When this goes on sale, you are getting great value. FYI I paid $20 for mine! |

Cons:
only draft n
Pros: Fast enough Comment:
DRAFT-N? If this product only support DRAFT-N and not the current "IEEE 802.11n-2009" it means this product is out dated. I you have a router that support 802.11n then don't buy this product. It is only meant for people who can't update their draft n router. I should have bought a better quality product like Linksys by Cisco or even D-Link. Besides that, I've been able to download at 300kB/s with this thing so maybe on sale.. |

Cons:
Not easy to install Win XP drivers. NO linux drivers.
Pros: very fast download speed. Comment:
Purchased unit for customer which she promply refused to use because it is to large??Unit is about 3.5 inches long (much longer than similar units previously purchased)When you finally get driver installed in Windows works very well. Does get in way sometimes if you have small space for use. |
Bruce_B@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 05/18/10 |
Cons:
Dongle is stiff and cannot be reset; runs very warm; cap should be stachable on end of body; maybe not for newbies
Pros: Runs according to spec; installs easily; very nice external finish; good price on sale Comment:
This is a nicely finished unit which is generally very serviceable. The installation can become arcane when you have to disable existing wireless card |

Pros: handy size to carry aruond Comment:
I got this to use with my laptop or HTPC when I may need quick access faster than the current G in these systems now. It works good for this job and not too big for the laptop bag. |
Dude1@NCIX Rating: Review Date: 04/18/10 |
Cons:
sometimes doesn't turn on automatically.
Pros: Was cheap (on sale) Comment:
When I plugged it in the first time, it worked without installing any drivers. However, signal quality/speed was terrible until I updated to the proper drivers from TrendNet. Also as someone has mentioned already, it sometimes doesn't turn on when you turn on your computer, so you'll have to unplug and plug it back in when this happens. Also remember when you install the trendnet drivers, you HAVE to use their network utility if you want to connect (atleast to a network with WEP.) Cons:
Size of the USB adapter
Pros: Easy to set upWireless NComes with a nice software and plenty of security options. Comment:
Works great with my Belkin Wireless N router. Product software is a bonus; it's informative and has plenty of security options. The physical size of the USB adapter might throw off others, especially laptop users. However, it comes with a mini USB cord option in case you're worried about sideswiping it if the adapter was set up in a way that it sticks out too much. |

Cons:
none noticed
Pros: easy to connect, good connection speeds. Comment:
I bought this adapter for my HTPC so I would have to run any wires. So far so good, connects easily and quickly on its own, better than expected signal strength. Streams video from internet or my home network with ease. I'm using this card with a D-Link dual band draft n router and get super fast download speeds. Very happy. |

Cons:
doesn't automatically connect(turn on) when computer turns on. (at least for my windows 7 32bit)usb extension cable is not tight- not directional adjustableconnection fluctuates
Pros: cheap- on sale toorated at 300 mbps (N) Comment:
This wireless usb adapter is good for the price IF only it works properly. It doesn't automatically turn back on (connect) when PC turns on. The mbps fluctuates from 6.5 to 110 max. i suggest you look into something else. I will try to stay away from trendnet even if the price is tempting. |
