Pros: Easy to use, great battery life, loaded with features.

Love the Android OS on my cell phone so thought I would try a tablet with Android OS. Absolutely no regrets. Easy to use, intuitive, flexible and very powerful if you know how to take advantage of it's features. ASUS has made another fine group of products.

Bought this before they bundled it. Went with 16gig because its cheaper and it was cheaper to buy a microSD to expand memory than buying the 32 or soon to be 64. Still would buy the 16gig again.I bought an 8gig microSD for it as well. Still haven't used up the space and I have tons of stuff installed now.You are only limited by your imagination with this.+ It's great that it has flash, iPad doesn't! + I can also plug it into my windows PC via USB and copy large movie files back and forth, and you can't do that with iPad.+ Can open virtually any doc file etc in the Polaris program that comes with it. Tables are distorted either, like what happens when opening a table between Word and OpenOffice.+ I pretty much found a free app for enhancing everything. Sound, video, wireless, etc.+ Free games gallor! Even Dungeon Defenders is free through nVidia Tegra, where you have to pay for that game on PC.+ Stereo surround. There's a free equalizer app to even enhance sound beyond that.I could just keep going on and on with the positives! 4 people from my work bought one the same day after I showed up with mine. LOL

Cons: Android 3.1 still isnt polished yet, lack of formats covered,case/frame a bit creaky around screen.

Pros: Good battery life, true widescreen format, awesome screen, expandable storage and connectivity.

well....now that I own both an Ipad 2 and this unit..heres my 2 cents. The asus is my preferred overall in the end. The wide screen is better for movies and games for me, but the Ipads picture seems a bit brighter and sharper to me.(even after many changes in settings).Just being able to drag and drop  files to this unit is huge for me ( not being married to Itunes). Availability of apps n games is similar but Id tip the scales to Itunes for more apps etc usable on the tablet rather than the phone. Android 3 is just the start for the O.S.being designed again for Tablet use instead of a phone.Like the Ipad ...you must convert video files to the format that is native to it...(mp4) or you can use the Vlc app and stream it to your tablet from your pc over your network...which works awesome for me streaming both video or music. At $339 for the open box and scoring a 16GB msdhc card.......its a great deal compared to Ipad 2 for a lot less $.

Cons: NONE

Pros: Good priceDifferent feel on the tablet as well as the keyboard dockand of course put them together looks like a small notebook and not to heavy
Comment:
This would be my first Android system; and i'd like to say its a great tablet to get...tons of apps that u can dl and free. And so far im really liking the number of update s that asus puts into, now at 3.2~Also they are the first tablet that got update  into 3.2 before some other brand like acer, and zoom etc etc. Now im taking it everywhere i go; great item to get to pass time and also to impress your friend and with the keyboard dock...works like an small notebook that let u type or take notes if you really needs to. As well as the price isnt that expensive if your comparing them with other tablets out there on the market. Now im use Wireless speaker with bluetooth and it works with the Tf101; as well as the extra micro sd or Sd card to expend your storage for moives or musics. and with mini-hdmi works great on my 40" LED HDTV. Also with the 2 extra USB that you can use on the dock means more storages or more accessories that you can use.Overall, Its a great tablet to get for sure!!!

Pros: Excellent value over other tablets

This Asus Transformer is an excellent product. It does what it is supposed to and has excellent video playback and easy to share picks and video's. The adroid market is constantly updating with new apps including skype video which was not available with the original purchase so apps get updated and now with video skype its a hit with my clients at this price point. The casing is solid and has excellent grip. The screen seems solid but would recommeng a screen protector. I would recommend purchasing this tablet.

Cons: -Build quality-camera,-android 3.0/3.1

Pros: -IPS Screen-add-on upgradability-look and feel-easy/quick update
Comment:
as the "Transformer", using this tablet without its unique keyboard dock station will not unleash its true capability. with the built-in battery inside the docking station and its carefully designed shape, the Eee Pad Transformer simply transforms into a notebook/netbook with a total 16 hours of battery life. the docking station also gives you access of 2 USBs, 1 SD card port. touch pad of the docking station supports multitouch technology. Highest resolution in current tablet line that uses IPS and LED technology give you a sharper and brighter experience.however the Build quality is lacking, no match to the Xoom and the Ipad 2. low quality camera is a pain, low framerates and some camera software bugs were fixed after the first patch but still having some issue. android 3.0/3.1 is still too young to compete with the iOS 4/5. bugs and lack of software support are some serious problems

Cons: Proprietary connector for charging. Software issues all around.

Pros: Solid Tablet. Powerful enough for casual web. Battery lasts very long with keyboard dock.
Comment:
Great battery life for true all day computing (> 8 hours). Android 3.1 still needs a lot of work. Many things that don't just work especially with the dock: Random restarts when docked, apps not supporting dock properly(including Asus's own MyDesktop), random browser new tab glitches.

Cons: - Some OS bugs (should be rectified with updates)- A bit hefty (iPad 1 weight)- A bit thick (iPad 1 thickness)- Speakers are a quiet- Some Light bleed

Pros: - Speedy- Responsive- Great Screen- Great Price
Comment:
Android 3.1 is a really solid start for Google, but is still very unrefined.I purchased the Transformer with the Dock to replace my aging Sempron laptop for school purposes (PDFs, Word, Browsing Websites) and it performs great. The integration between the tablet and the dock is fantastic and I fully expect it to get even better.ASUS has already shown it is committed to get updates in a timely manner as this tablet got Android 3.1 even before the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that was given out at Google I/O which says a lot.

Great tablet, hands down the best out there. Its fast, looks great, a bit heavy, but solid construction, runs everything super quick, and a transformer! Forget the iPad2, and the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, this is what you want!

Cons: Backlight uniformity.Short proprietary charging cable.

Pros: High spec honeycomb for cheap.IPS screen.
Comment:
Colour and viewing angle on the screen is fantastic - compared it to ipad side-by-side and it's nearly as good, with one glaring exception: there's unmistakable backlight bleeding near the edges of the screen. It's not as noticeable when i'm actually looking at contents, so it's forgivable.Being able to watch any flash conent on the web feels very liberating, even though it tend to crash the browser once in a while. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

Cons: -> The only annoyance I have is with a slight light bleed on the side of the screen but 99% of the time I do not notice it. You'll notice it when you're using the tablet in a very dark room with brightness to the max. The same problem exists with ipad2 also.

Pros: -> Great Screen - IPS display for Transformer is way better than xoom or acer iconia. You have to see it to believe it.-> Amazing Asus build quality.-> Asus is very proactive with updates. The Transformer already has the 3.1 Honeycomb update.-> Really good battery life. I was surprised how much juice the tablet alone has because if you have the dock, you'll have twice the juice!
Comment:
I've had this tablet for more than a month now. I totally love what Asus has built here. I had a 12 hour flight to Asia and the Transformer with its awesome battery was my best friend in the flight. I would highly recommend this to all future tablet buyers or existing netbook owners. I bought this after selling my Asus eeepc

Cons: Some application crash, but it's brand new OS, so it will be fixed !No USB port unless we purchase the adapter... but for now, don't have intend to plug any USB device on it yet.

Pros: Very good Tablet for the price. All other Tablet cost 100 or 200 $ more for the same thing. Very good product for that price !
Comment:
If you want to purchase a Tablet, this one are a very good choice. Don't forget 1 thing, it's a TABLET, not a PC.. so their is no reason to pay 500, 600, 700 or more for a damn "Tablet". This is a good price for this well design Tablet. I don't regret my purchase yet. I got what i was expected.Don't know if i will purchase the keyboard. As i said before, it's a Tablet, not a PC. If i want a keyboard attach to it, i will purchase a Laptop...And the good news, it's cheaper than iPad2, fully open source ! I strongly recommand this product, it worth "waiting" fiew weeks to have it, instead of purchase other Tablet for more $$

Cons: Very uncomfortable to hold with one hand due to the rounded back, Android 3 is not mature yet, docking keyboard is not that impressive (though looks nice).

Pros: Nice screen, good performance, any goodies from Android 3, nice Asus on screen keyboard.
Comment:
I bought this from Visions.ca. Yes, they said it is temporarily out of stock, but if you place the order, they come very quick. They also sell the keyboard for $128 only. However, I returned the product a week later because it is very uncomfortable to hold with one hand. iPad 2 is flat at the back so it is comfortable to hold. Even with the texture on the back, you have to grab part of the screen in order to hold it firmly with one hand, in this case, the other hand will not be able to work on the screen because one hand is already touching it. It seems like there is quite a bit room at the back and I don't understand why Asus engineer did not make it flat. If most of the time you work on the table, it is a very nice machine.
