Low-cost, fairly quiet. Two out of three are fine. One particular slows down below 300 RPM and triggers my fan alarm every single couple of weeks. i am going to replace it.

Heat sensitive 120x120x25mm case fan - as temps rise, thermistor makes it possible for more present to flow, which speeds up the fan. The only temperature controlled 120mm case fan on NewEgg when I bought them. A tiny too noisy for my taste even at low temps. I combined them with a 7V fan mod adapter purchased from yet another vendor and the max airflow is still great but they are practically silent at low temps. Note that power comes through a molex plug and only the RPM sensor is on the smartfan connector, so the motherboard can monitor fan RPMs. My prior motherboard controlled fan speeds through the motherboard temp sensor (varied voltage at the smartfan connectors), if your motherboard is like that then these fans won't be controlled by the mobo. My present 1 doesn't, which is why these fans are worthwhile.

Good high quality 120mm fan None I use this fan whenever I do a make that requirements a 120mm fan, which is most of them. Haven't had any troubles with any of them. The 92mm version performs wonderful as well.

Operates actually excellent and is relatively quiet. None that I can consider of. I purchased this for a new build as the case didn't have a side fan and it has been functioning fantastic and incredibly quiet.

Ease of use, effectively intended, quite substantial air flow, low noise. No 3pin or 2pin connector. Made it challenging to use - see other thoughts. I purchased this at a local retailer for about ฤ. I should have purchased it here. to replace my old Dynex psu fan. This Vantec fan blows SO Considerably More AIR. It's a excellent fan. Created well. My only complaint is that I couldn't Frankenstein it into a 2pin connection fan. I had to replace the PSU shell with the wires coming out and employing a single of my 4pin molex connectors.

Keeps my personal computer cool, not that loud. The fans won't run off the power from the motherboard. You have to connect it to your energy provide. Now I have no obtainable connectors if I wanted to add a thing else to my Pc.

Moves a lot of air and keeps case cool. I was expecting the fan to run slow considering that the case is currently prety cool, but it doesn't seem to run any slower than the non-regulated fan that was initially in the Aspire case I have. I guess that bottom line is that is isn't any much better than the stock fan I replaced, so the added expense isn't worth it.

If you will need a severe fan and want to move tons upon tons of air and it isnt that loud at all appear no additional acquire it now! plus it has a temperature sensor where it automatically kicks in to enable decrease temps....

Automatically adjust speed of fan based on the ambient temp – Moves a lot of air even at the slowest speed. Slowest speed is nonetheless as well noisy for me – Can hear the propeller “cutting” the air making a soft buzzing sound at the slowest speed. My computer system is in the bedroom so I will need a quiet fan. I have been by way of a couple of other brands of 120mm so known as “quiet” fans, all with different flaws, this 1 would be very good in some other case or predicament but not in the bedroom. In addition to the very soft "propeller buzz" I can hear the air noisily rushing through my Computer situation even at the slowest speed so I guess the rpm is just not low sufficient - If i feed it five volts its nearly silent but does not move enough air to hold my method cool.

The speed adjusts based on your situation temps, so placing it in the back (exhaust) makes sense. Putting it up front most likely doesn't. I was dumb and employed it for a CPU fan. Though it's quiet, it's actually not developed for that.

Good and quiet. Moves lots of air. Why use the molex connectors? A four-pin setup would have been a considerably cleaner install. The wire to the Mobo had only a single thin wire. Buy without hesitation. Make sure you have the extra molex connectors.

I wrote in a previous evaluation that 2 out of the 3 I bought were operating fine. My mistake, I opened the case and the one that wasn't operating was a generic fan, NOT a Vantec. So all Vantec fans are working fine soon after nearly a year of continuous uptime. None actually except for the mistake this reviewer made. I appreciate becoming able to monitor fan speed through the motherboard. It assists to monitor the wellness of those components.

Moves a great deal of air, even at slowest speed. No noticeable motor noise or bearing ticking. Even at slowest speed, has a really nasty wind-tunnel sound. Other fans I have rated at related CFM (with identical bearing kinds) are a lot quieter. Method does not seem drastically warmer nor cooler after installing this fan.

Works as advertised, ball bearing is not too noisy and varies speed gradually according to fan-neighborhood temperature. I in no way notice the speed altering. Mounted as the exhaust fan it cold begins at about 1600 RPM, steadies up to in a cold room, typically, in a warm room, all when idle or surfing. Climbs to a max 2100 RPM when gaming, although exhaust air still feels only mildly warm then. The temperature sensitivity ramps up ㅂ° C early, imho. I expect extended service from the ball bearing. Noise is Generally noticeable. A low toned fan blade humming at lower speeds gets buried by flowing air noise at greater speeds. The thermistor is mounted near the fan hub -- no remote temp sensing or control. Even though this fan is overkill for me, I can't deduct any eggs for that. The fan is powered through four pin molex and a single wire goes to the motherboard three pin plug for speed monitoring only. It moves plenty of air, but I'm not as certain about the static pressure. The noise "quality" is not bad at all; but in a kitchen, SOHO, or bedroom you will definitely hear this fan, and it fails the wife test! Rig: Antec P150 (stock fan failed < two years), Neo-HE430 PSU, Asrock Dual SataII 939, Athlon X2 3800+, Saphire single slot 3850 GPU, and so on.
