Cons: None really, except as a previously stated, the magnets on the antenna base may cause interference. Still testing.

Pros: Good Quality Construction

Picked up these for a desktop build to get the antennas up off the floor and onto a desk.

Pros: I can actually use the internet in my office! Super affordable.
Comment:
I went out and purchased one of these after seeing the stellar reviews on NCIX. I was beyond fed up with my tad bit faster than dial-up speeds via my wireless in my office. I just moved to this new place, and the internet is included... however I do not have access to the router. I plugged it in, moved it around the room in different directions and used speedtest.net to figure out the best location. I went from 0-1 bar and almost no functional internet... to 3-4 bars and speeds over 25x faster. VERY happy with the purchase!Only blemish was that I got charged for two, and only purchased one... but they caught that right away and emailed me to inform me of their mistake. I'll just have to go into the store and get it reversed when I return my wireless card (which I never even had to try out due to the antenna working so well). If you're having problems w/ low signal, this will be 15 dollars well spent!

Cons: Kind of delicate, I dropped one and the antenna cover snapped off although I just super glues it back on

Pros: Great antennas I had 3x of the default antennas that came with my card and then i bought 3 of these and i was going from 3-5 mb down to 40-48 mb down on wireless N.

Pros: Easy setup, well built, sturdy base, strong magnetic base
Comment:
Solid antenna. I attached the antenna to my router and used the bases for my PC network card to improve the locations of the antenna. Was getting low signal quality at the second floor of my house - router on the first floor. The signal quality was around 60%. After installing these antenna on the router, the signal quality jumped to 75% - 80% on the second floor.Only issue I have is that I wished the magnets would be removable. I'm worried that the magnets will cause interference to the other electronics around my desk.[Edit]The magnets in the base are extremely strong and I've managed to mount them on the underside of my desk on a support beam. This actually improved the signal and cleared up my workspace. So this is definitely a Pro now.Awesome product regardless. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-22-12 01:37 PM

Cons: Looks goofyHooked on high performing wireless stuff is expensive!I want to buy a higher speed wireless routerWorks so well, I would almost opt for the higher gain antenna

Pros: Turns a useless wireless connection into a high speed access
Comment:
I bought this item as a last ditch attempt before hard wiring my house for ethernet. My AppleTV2 is only about 25ft away from my standard SMC router/modem and it was so slow, I couldn't even stream music. It would drop  a connection merely trying to browse through folders on XBMC. Now, with the help of this antenna, I can stream 1080p movies and HD Netflix downloads seamlessly with no issue whatsoever. This is SO GOOD, I sent an email to my family telling them to buy this for when I'm at their house. It is worth every, single penny. My only regret with this device is that now I'm addicted to wireless stuff and it isn't cheap. I would go a step further and consider getting the higher dB gain antenna to maximize the potential of all your wireless toys.

Pros: Excellent signal boosterWorks with Asus products (PCE-N13)
Comment:
I added this to my Asus PCI-E (PCE-N13) wireless adaptor. I moved to a new condo and there is the wall of cables (TV, phone, etc) and a washer/dryer separating my PC with my router. Previously, using only the stock antennas, I was getting around 2-3 bars and a 1-2 Mbps download speed as per Speedtest. I originally bought 1 of these TP-Link antennas and my signal strength increased to 4 bars and a 4-5 Mbps download. I hooked up a 2nd one and I get a full 5 bars and 13-14 Mbps download. It's also worth mentioning that I got this antenna instead of the Asus booster antenna because the TP-Link was about 50% of the price (with a price match). Excellent product and it's highly recommended.

Using the stock 2x 5dBi antennas on my TP-Link WR841ND I got 50% signal from the 3rd floor to the basement. When I installed these antennas I got 100% signal strength. Excellent product.

Cons: -Buying 2 of these does seem kind of expensive in addition to wifi adaptor

Pros: -Made unusable wifi to usable
Comment:
My current living conditions doesn't allow me to use wired connections thus I have to use wireless-n. With router upstairs where the landlord lives, placed on the floor between shelves (essentially in the worst place possible)... Me living in the basement means with my cheapo Trendnet adaptor I get signal strength of about 10%... which means slow speed and constant dropped connections. I bought 2 of these and replaced the stock antennas, boosted signal strength to 58%, and haven't had the connection dropped once! Speed also increased from about 6mbps to 180mbps.2 of these basically made my basement wifi usable; however, the cost is kinda high... but for those who have to use wifi and need a signal strength boost, this is probably their only choice.

Cons: takes up a bit of desk space

Pros: Cheap, Plug-and-play
Comment:
I had problems receiving signal above 2 bars (I'm in the basement, router is upstairs). Where the stock antennas came out of my PCI adapter in the back of my computer there are loads of cables and a subwoofer and the steel legs of my desk, all of which were interfering with my signal im sure. I attached this baby and set it on my desk and instantly have 3 bars and 10MBps download speed. No more dropped signal.my PCI adapter is the TP Link TL-WN851N

Pros: Increased signal strength, improved connection stability, affordable.
Comment:
I got this to replace my Engenius USB wifi adapter and so far its done an incredible job. I previously suffered from constant internet drops due to the tremendous heat buildup from the wifi usb adapter but now purchasing this item has eliminated both problems. I previously had 2-3 bars (out of 5) now I have all 5 bars at maximum strength. My download speeds has increased by almost 100-200kpbs and my ping times in online games has decreased from about 250 to 150. Couple with an affordable ASUS PCI adapter (on sale for $12) for under $40 you get an amazingly improved internet connection for a much cheaper price than buying those top brand name PCI adapters.

Got this to boost the signal for the TP Link N wireless 3 antennas PCI card, since the computer is 100 fts+ away from the router, and it is in 2nd floor. After plugged this in and the signal immediately improved from 1 bar to 3 bars. So far it is working good to, worth to pay 20 bucks for it, but it can be slightly cheaper...

Cons: Didn't increase my bandwidth by much. If I don't have it at the correct angle, speeds would bottom out at 150 kb/s.

Pros: Long cord. Boosted bandwidth a little bit.
Comment:
With the old antenna that came with my PCI card, I was downloading off the net at 600 kB/s on average (my internet connection can go to 1200 KB/s). Speeds were highly variable though, sometimes drop ping down to as low as 200-400 KB/s. I also had to awkwardly rotate my computer to get good reception. I thought this new antenna would help boost my speed. I hoped for a steady 1000 KB/s, and low pings. When I plugged in the TP-Link, the increase in bandwidth was not as high as I had hoped. Right now I'm peaking at about 800 KB/s with this antenna, and it varies from 500-700 on average. So it's better, but the speeds are still not steady, and they still bottom out often (as low as 300 or so). Also, I have to angle the antenna for it to work well. If I just leave it vertical, the speeds drop  down to 150kb/s. Pretty terrible (though better than before when they would bottom out at 50-100 KB/s). All in all, it has boosted my signal a bit. The reasonably long cable allows me to rotate my computer in the proper direction, while I put the antenna wherever I need it to be.I don't know why this was put on the top of the list of antennas, I wonder if NCIX actually rates these by "popularity" or just what they want you to buy at any moment. I would probably buy a better antenna next time and not this one. This one is ok if you desperately need a cheap antenna to boost your signal a bit, but it's really not what I had hoped for.
