Cons: reception is not too well in my house

Pros: One of the cheaper ones out there
Comment:
We have been using this for the past year or so, for my sister s computer and I have to say the wi fi is awfully slow on it.. The distance is about 10m away, but other laptops have better reception in her room than her desktop. Would not recommend for long range use

Cons: too big to really use it for laptop

Pros: easy to set up, fast speed
Comment:
It was very easy to set up on windows 7, up and running within 5 mins. Speed steady at 130 mbps, much faster than the laptop built-in adaptor, and even faster than most other usb adaptors tested. It is quite bulky, but it does continue to maintain a steady 130 mbps signal, have not seen any other wireless adaptors, including the built-in ones deliver that kind of steady performance. Cons: bulkynot good for streaming HD video

Pros: Easy installationWorks greatwin7 compatibleHDX1000 compatible
Comment:
I bought this adapter specifically for my hdx1000 set top box hoping i would no longer require a network cable. boy was i wrong. the HD streaming is just as bad as any wireless. other than that it's a great product. installation was very easy if you know a bit about networking. I recommend if you're just using it to browse the internet, but definitely not for HD streaming or file sharing. pretty much on par with all other wireless devices :)

Cons: Gets pretty warm when used for long periods of time.Very bulky, its like plugging in a brick.

Pros: Solid signal, and no issues with any router so far when roaming coffee shops.Loves Linux
Comment:
Bought this in-store start of april and it has worked perfecvtly trhe whole time. While it does get quite warm and is huge for a adapter. it worked fine on a friends Windows 7.I have yet to find a distro of Linux that does not like this adapter. I have a dev-box that has approx 10 different releases of Linux and all of them recognised the adapter. Debian 5.0, ubuntu 9.04,9.10, 10.04 even server editions 64 bit all had no issue with the adpater.Unfortunatly best I can tell they no longer make this adapter such is progress. but if you manage to find one and run Linux buy it you wont be disappointed.

Pros: Easy to install.Good price.Comes with USB extention cable.Good connection speed.
Comment:
Bought one and really like it.It's so easy to install under Vista 64 bit without a glitch.Their global technical support is really nice and has been helpful (called them up before buying it to make sure it works with Vista 64 bit).Highly recommended! And by the way, really liked NCIX's handling of this order. Although it was back ordered, they still provided it to me within a few days. This review was modfied by poster @ 01-16-10 01:18 AM
