Bought this to replace my old 10/100 router. Converted it to a wireless switch in no time. Great value.

Cons: none

Pros: Extremely fast and it does not bottleneck my extreme high bandwidth connection of 25/2.5 and it's fairly stable; it's able to handle multiple connections simultaneously without hiccup. Great Wi-Fi connection speed/range that performs as good as LAN connection.
Comment:
The best high speed router in its price range that offers solid performance and reliability. I would highly recommend users to flash to the newest firmware provided by TP-Link on their official site.

Cons: nothing because of the price, wish it were a dual band

Pros: Low price good single band N router support 3rd party firmware
Comment:
Got it for $47.45 tax included elsewhere. Very good router for the price and latest firmware support Printer through its USB port, ie printer server function.Did not flash DD-WRT yet since TP-link's own firmware is not bad.One of the best for its price.

Cons: No bittorrent client.Low Range for double story House.

Pros: Excellent Price.Nice Design.Excellent Performance of Both Gigabit Lan and N 300 & G 54 Mbps Wlan.Good Range for single floor house.Fine Tempratures.Great Stability.Good supportive GUI.Great USB sharing Feature.WDS bridge
Comment:
A excellent router in that price range. My house is of 1000 yards having 2 floors, On the 1st floor where it is setup it gives great range and speed on both Wireless N And G.But if i goto ground floor then the signals starts to deteriorate abit.On the roof the performance of Wlan is also good.I have been atleast 25 meters away from router on 1st floor and it gives 13.5 Mbps speedThe Gigabit switch of the router works great it took 15 minutes & 16 seconds to complete copying a 31.1 GB file at the speed of 102 Mb/Second.The stability of the router is also great i have been using this router for 24 hours for a whole week and it didnt restarted , froze, dropped connections or any other problem occured with it for the whole week. The temprature of the router are just fine not to hot nor cold. The USB external drive or Pen drive sharing works great just plug the drive and it just finds the drive instantly you can browse the drive by the GUI or map it By "\(Ip Address of the router)folder1". The transfer speed between USB and Pc was 3.66 Mb/second.Good for USB 2.0 Standard. The router just acts as NAS when a USB drive is connected to it.The GUI of the router is also quite supportive and very responsive. This router works great for single story houses but if you have a big house with double or triple stories then you could buy another same router or anyother router or accesspoint and bridge it by WDS bridge for increased range.I have tested WDS bridge with Netgear 54 G router. It worked great.I would give it all five stars cause i am very pleased by this router . I will buy sometime in future another one for my house.A very solid product ...

Cons: ie9 is not supported when trying to access media server, dropped internet

Pros: cheap when price matched
Comment:
piece of junk. at least the one i got. could not access my external hard drive. tp-link told me ie9 is not supported, so i wouldn't be able to even if it worked. my other computer is ie8 and it couldn't view any of my files either.all my devices are wired to it and it still drops my internet connection

Cons: Not Dual Band, reboot very slow

Pros: Price, Speed, Sleek design and USB Port
Comment:
After receiving a defective unit, slow wireless speeds, dns issues etc.. I contacted tp link support, which is based out of china i believe, and they responded very promptly with some suggestions which i tried, but did not work, they then directed me back to ncix to get a replacement. Ncix sent me out another one express, and after using it for a day now i can say this thing rocks. I get the same speeds with wireless as i do with wired. The usb port is incredibly useful for printers or external drives, and you can set up a media center for your usb drive within the control panel (with latest firmware) which works brilliantly with my WDTV live. The Control panel is not the nicest i've seen, but it's incredibly functional and has plenty of options. So far so good with the new router, but my advice for anyone purchasing it is to mess around with the settings to find the sweet spot, for me it was being on channel 6, others were drastically slowing down my connection.

Cons: Literature about setting and options could be more existent in the manual or TP-Link website

Pros: Strong signal, reliability, bandwidth control for multi-users very few drop  outs
Comment:
Had this router for about 12 months now. Bought locally from a shop then found out they got there supply from NCIX.com lol I was going to order but needed it immediately. Very reliable, strong signal and the options seem to work well. The bandwidth control works well but could use a bit more literature to configure properly. I managed to get this going well after a time of searching.

Cons: none to speak of...

Pros: Fast, reliable, good interface, flexible, excellent signal strength.
Comment:
I've tried many N, N+ Routers... I configured this one for N only, and attached a wireless access point for G traffic. Compared to Belkin, Netgear, Linksys, D-Link... this one is significantly faster, and has a much better wireless signal. Don't let the low price fool you.

Cons: None that I have experienced.

Pros: Price, Features, Simplicity; show me a better router at this time.
Comment:
I bought this router about a week ago and it has exceeded my expectations. In the house we have 2 Gbit ethernet spec'd desktops, we have 4 laptops and our main TV has streaming video going to it. Only 802.11N is enabled and gets a 50% signal strength through 3 floors into the basement. I highly recommend keeping the stock firmware on. It's robust enough and has enough security to match any 3rd party firmware. Don't get me wrong, 3rd parties make great firmware, just not for this model of router.Originally I bought this router to run DD-WRT ...and I did try it... (build 14896 and 16214) which were not as stable as the stock 3.12.2 for the TL-WR1043ND. I also tried OpenWRT (10.03) which nearly bricked the TL-WR1043ND, to rescue it I had to telnet in and run a couple of commands to get the original firmware back on.BTW, this is rev 1.7, ymmv.-

Cons: Firmware.

Pros: Great N-Router,great features
Comment:
I haven't found any major problem with this router. It is every bit as good as it's "Brand Name" counterparts.I bought it locally in my town and i have no regrets. The only thing i changed was that i installed third party firmware with even more features to play with.I really like the fact that i don't have to buy a NAS Box now because i can just hook up a flash drive or external hard drive to the router to share my files on my network.

Pros: Great price and valueWireless N 300MB/s
Comment:
Great router for the price, you get gigabit ports and 300MB/s wireless N. Feature wise, I wish it was dual band, but at that price, it was to be expected. The interface isn't the most intuitive, I'm used to Tomato, but it still very usable.

Cons: 2.4 ghz only, max connection speed is 150mbps, transmit range is pretty average

Pros: Gigabit LAN, very easy config, quick setup, good value for price
Comment:
This is a pretty good router for the price, especially if being cheap and having a gigabit wired network are important to you. I've used with Realtek, Asus, and Apple Airport adapters. With minimal congestion on the 2.4 Ghz band, this will NEVER connect at 300 mbps. I have never achieved above 150 EVER. My normal connection speeds are 130 mbps with apple airport client and 150 mbps with everything else. The setup was extremely easy and the firmware seems to be stable. Regular features like opening ports, binding to MAC addresses etc is easy. It has locked up and required a reboot once in 6 months. There is a USB port to attach storage, but the data transfer rate through USB is so slow that gigabit/N is pointless (USB 1.0?). Better to attach an external drive to your PC rather than to this router. Aside from that it is good bang for buck if you don't need simultaneous dual band.
