Upgraded firmware.Setup was straightforward.Smaller and looks good.I like the interface of the router settings.four ethernets out. Absolutely nothing. Once setup the router functions effectively. The router has a decent range and is acceptably fast (about 1ቦth the speed of my direct ethernet connection). For the value the router is a fantastic value. Shipped rapidly and effectively packaged. Newegg rocks! I had to contact customer service as I could not get it to work. They was capable to get to a human getting very fast but they were tricky to hear and recognize. The representative had incredibly tiny know-how and would not listen to what I was saying. I ordered a second 1 for a property with two MACs and PCs with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 - each 32 and 64 bit, and UBUNTU.I have compared these Routers to Netgears and LinkSyS and have discovered no efficiency distinction between the 3 - only cost. Quite simple setup. Very good range, appears quite solidly built. Occasionally slows or drops connection. Doesn't come about usually, although. Our old Netgear router continually dropped the connection to the point of distraction. Some of it was due to our cable provider's service, but I finally got a new router. Read the reviews here and took a opportunity on the TP-Link. Got it about two months ago and there's been nearly no dropped connections, very good speeds and a far better range through our apartment. All in all, I'd advise. |

Looks sleek. Quite appealing and the white with black accents fits just about any room. It came with a good small stand that gently clips on the bottom for vertical placement. The external antenna is an additional plus to me, I do not favor internal ones. Really satisfied with this router for its reliability so far once the easy setup was completed. I bought this for my sister, set it up at my house, and then she couldn't get it to work following numerous attempts. I then went more than and plugged it in and it worked right away. Maybe this was a fluke, she doesn't actually know something other than attempting to use the setup disc. I'm not seriously worried about it because I think it was human error seeing as I had already set it up. Even easy property networking can turn into a nightmare genuine rapid. This unit was incredibly basic, a lot additional so than the much more high priced Netgear Rangemax it replaced (Rangemax was notoriously unreliable, but I am utilizing it in my building with little difficulty since setup). Looks good, produced properly. Unfortunately, I have but to get it to perform. Unit successfully goes via the setup computer software- till the finish when it does a system check. It can't locate the modem. I have attempted everything I can feel of and I've had no luck at all. I'm certain If I ever get this functioning it will be fine, but it's no use for now.
