Cons: None. I'm not a big fan of my actual printer, a Brother HL-2140, but I guess it's good considering the cost.
Pros: Very high yield. Good value even at full price. Never had any problems with the quality of the toner. Installation was pretty easy. I do a lot of printing for school and it's still like three quarters full. Can be found on sale for a great price here. Comment:
It is a better value per-page due to it's high yield, and it has worked flawlessly so far. I would expect nothing less from such a simple product. |

I took the old cartridge out and didn't realize that there is a "holder" for the actual toner cartridge itself. Be sure to use it before installing the new one!Brother provides US and CDN shipping labels to return the old cartridges for recycling. Excellent idea! |

Pros: Another confirmation that is a real "Brother" part with full packaging - not some compatible part. I have more confidence that when I suddenly need it - it will actually work, and deliver the number of copies it is supposed to. Comment:
I decided to look at price matching last week when I bought it on sale. I found a lot of irate buyers from all over who were sold a compatible part rather than the manufacturer part as seemed to be specified in their ads - so check comments on sites. But this NCIX one is a real boxed "Brother".I'm incredibly pleased with the multifunction 7840, since I've been using it lots over the past weeks. To have spare toner ready to go for a good price, is super. |

The toner usually register as empty long before it is actually empty. There is a thing you can do though.
Pros: Good print quality, I use it to print school stuff. Comment:
This toner usually last a long time! However, for some reason, my printer (HL2140) says the toner is empty after like, 2000 pages (which could be normal...) The thing is, if you pull out the toner, there is a white thing you can turn with a screwdriver, (like 2-3 turns) that moves a kind of gauge next to it. After that, the toner last another 1000 pages or so. Pass the 1000 pages mark, and it still print; however the print quality start to degrade. (some toner powder gets all over the page). It is still a nice trick to get the most of the toner! |

Well, it's a toner cartridge that just works. Like all companies, don't expect to print out the optimistic estimate as it's only 5% cover. Who prints a page that's only 5% covered? |

havent had to use it yet, but picked up a spare toner cartrige with my 2140. Have only ever recieved one dud toner cartrige and i have gone through a LOT of toner at the office. Doubt there will be any problem. |
It's a genuine Brother toner works as advertised with no problems at all.
