Pros: Great enclosure! It feels solid and fairly rugged, and it works great over eSATA and USB 2.0. For 2.5" drives about 250GB or less or SSD drives, this enclosure often works over USB using just one of the two USB plugs. |
I love this enclosure! I've bought about 6 different kinds of USB 2.0 enclosure, and this is my favourite. It works great over USB 2.0 and eSATA, and it feels much more sturdy than most other enclosures.Also, opening this drive and swapping hard drives is a snap. You just remove the two back screws and slide the tray out. Unlike other enclosures, it doesn't feel like it's going to break when you swap drives a few time. My only complaint is that on one of my Acomdata Tangos, one of the two screws doesn't tighten perfectly - there's some give so the screwhole must've become a bit stripped. It still works great though, and the screw doesn't fall out even when I tip it.
