I purchased this board recently, and an Intel core 2 quad processor for it. the motherboard and the processor were not communicating, and when I spoke with tech support at biostar, they said I may have to put an older processor in it to reset the bios. That is rediculous, if the board and the processor are compatible, it should start and go to the system bios. I will never purchase another boistar product, I think I will just stick with intel.

While not a super high end board it runs well. I was surprised at the shear number (9) of jumpers that had to be changed just to go to crossfire but not a big deal.

After 3 Different MB I changed to this one It has good features but not everything It has XFire for 2 slots and 6 jumpers to change from 1 to 2 PCI xfire cards I updated the bios to P45BA924 BST with no problems Works with XPpro Vista and 7 excellent OVRCLK to 4.3ghz and solid with a 2 core 3.06 cpu With some tricks have 18.5Tb in 10 HDs I couldnt be happier with this MoBo and would recomment it to anyone for a mid level setup U GUYS ROCK! This site has the best people and very knowledgable about their products. If you ask they will find out.

Disappointed. Poor preparation for shipping. Motherboard arrived very fast, but in a box that was approximately three inches bigger in each dimension than the motherboard box, packed with ONE piece of packing paper which was underneath the motherboard box. The box actually had wear marks on it, like it had been attached to a running paint mixer, put in a barrel, and thrown over Niagra Falls. Big surprise it was DOA. Great board if all I required was a $140.00 switch to turn the case fans on. Went back to the big g with a board from the local computer store, and my computer 'fired right up! I am pleased with the fast refund I received for this dead mb.

Good layout and easy to build with. Not a big fan of Realtecs audio codecs but that's what descrete soundcards are for :) And Mothership...don't post crap when you obviously don't know what you are talking about. ACHI drivers are used in Windows and if ACHI mode is selected in the BIOS but the drivers aren't added during the F6 prompt at install you will get a lovely STOP 0x7B error. And last time I checked, hardware vendors didn't put ''Hackintosh'' drivers in their motherboard boxes...

I purchased this motherboard this last July for my new mid-range gaming system. I cannot be happier with an Intel board. It was a great buy running with my 8800 GS superclocked card. Great stability, price, and nicely laid out board. For about a month though, I was having major problems with installing 8 series drivers from Nvidia. Countless issues were suddenly fixed when I updated the BiOS. Again, this is a great buy with a good layout.

Got this mobo for my Q9550. I love the ALC888 sound quality. CrossfireX on a 171$ mobo is very rare. I wanted that in case i wanted to add an extra card. Though they would both run at PCI-E x8, I am certain it would have great performance. I am running a single sata2 hard-drive and for loading XP, it is still a problem due to lack of drivers. Still, I was able to load Vista very well and the boot time is great. I had a problem with one of my memory slots though. I have 4 sticks and one of the slots is too loose to make constant contact. I am running on 3 gigs of ram because of this. Otherwise I am happy. I am running a Q9550 quad core with DDR2 800 memory, an ATI 4870X2 graphic card, a 850 watt power supply in a thermaltake case with a 240mm side fan:) I got a 12830 score on 3Dmark Vantage (11592 CPU, 13304 GPU) which is just fantastic.
