The setup is very basic, plug in, press the sync button, and it functions. I won't suggest this product.Beware of the password concern. There is a 16-digit password printed on the back of adapter. The password is essential to setup the network security. It did not perform. I tried occasions and all sorts of combination, every single time I got the "password is invalid" message. This password is the "permanent password" attached to each and every of the adapter. You will need to have it if you want to set a security password and choose which adapter can access the network. Called trendnet, they can do nothing at all about it. By speaking to them, I got a feeling this challenge is very frequent. I installed the TPL-304E in my 2 years old townhouse. If the two adapters are in the same area (different outlet), the transmit speed is rated around 140Mbps. However, if I move one particular to the second floor, the speed drops to អmbps. Worse than my wireless N router. This is acceptable if no other problems. |
No far more tripping more than wires! I have eliminated so a lot wiring operating to four computers in various areas. Considering that the web upload rate is (on typical) less than 10 MB/s by the cable provider, these work fine. Daughters watch Hulu and YouTube videos fine. No information shared between the computers so data transfer is not an problem. A single was dead in the kit and the other was not passing voltage by means of the 120 volt plug. Had to RMA but new set is fine. Got a wonderful deal a couple of weeks ago on Newegg! If you network and share amongst your computer systems or household server, information prices may well not be acceptable. These are fine me my household as we only access the web.These operate fine with my other ZyXEL PLA407 units as effectively.
