Cons: Slower than rated speed (expected)Flaky when 4th adapter is added

Pros: Simple plug-and-play usabilityWorks on relatively long distances
Comment:
Bought 1 kit initially to try out, worked out of the box. Had one hooked up to the router and one to the garage. Later, bought another kit, adding the 3rd adapter was ok, but after adding the 4th adapter would get constant drops for all adapters despite the box saying it would work with 4 plugged in. Wiring is only 10 years old so that shouldn't be the problem.

Cons: The software didn't work for me on Windows 8.1. Not sure why, but I am not too worried about it. The devices work, I just can't change the security settings for them.

Pros: Easy setup. Great for people with no networking skills. Basically just plug and go.
Comment:
I got these on sale for $25.99 which is a super bargain. If these go on sale again, I would suggest snapping them up, especially if your looking for networking solutions, but have no networking knowledge. Simply plug the one device in and connect to your router, the other into the 2nd device, push the button to link them and your done.I used this to extend out network from one side of the house to the far end, as the router would not cover the distance and signal was poor and dropping constantly. Now working flawlessly, and I didn't have to buy a new router.

Cons: Electronic ringing noise

Pros: Easy to setupGood speed
Comment:
I bought this product because I needed a single internet access point that was nearly on the opposite end of the house from the wireless router. The setup could not be easier. I simply plugged the two into power outlets, connected one to the wireless router and the other to my computer and windows 8 automatically found it and connected.Went from a extremely weak wireless signal that gave at best 100kb/s downloads, usually lower, to at least 500kb/s download, usually over 1mb/s.As noted by my con, there is an electronic ringing noise that it emits akin to the sound of a turned on tv that not all people can hear. It is quite enough that I only notice it if I put my ear next to it, or its at night when everything is off and it is quiet. Not loud enough to disturb sleep though.

Cons: Slow

Pros: WorksCheap
Comment:
I needed to get an internet connection into my garage and didn't want to buy a WiFi extender. This cheap powerline ethernet kit did the trick ($30 on sale). However, it's very slow - it doesn't get anywhere near 200mbps or even 100mbps for that matter. I bought this knowing that already but still, it's fairly pitiful. The best speed I could coax out of it was 36mbps (file transfer), and that's with the two adapters in the same room. From inside my house to my garage, I only get about 14mbps. And keep in mind this is in a brand new house so there shouldn't be any line issues.

Cons: CAN be fast, but this is dependent on your specific house wiring; may in fact be very slowNetwork performance can still be affected when you use applicances that use a lot of power (eg: microwave, treadmill)High pitched squealing sound, that you may or may not hear depending on how quiet and sensitive to sounds you are

Pros: Easy to set up; requires literally no technical knowledgeCan be very fast and consistent, much more so than wirelessGood price for this particular unit when on sale
Comment:
I bought 2 of these kits for $24 each. Have installed them and hooked them up; installation was very easy and straightfoward. Just plug and play. Speeds are also very good. The TRENDnet utility included reports link speeds of 55Mbps from upstairs to downstairs; the light is amber. I can discern no difference whatsoever between when I had my connection hardwired by cable, to when I am using this. Ping/bandwith are identical (barring LAN bandwith). Everything is great. I have yet to test out the other two adapters, but they should work flawlessly as well.I am lucky I guess, in that the wiring on my house is fairly new. Take note that the performance of these things is highly dependent on the age and nature of your house wiring. The one complaint I have about this product is that it makes this certain high pitched, high frequency squeal, as has been noted by another reviewer here. Maybe it's just that I am sensitive and easily pick up these little sounds. It is by no means loud at all, and is only evident if the room is quiet, or if you get close to it, like a metre or so away from it. Not a big deal for me personally though as I can just unplug it when I go to sleep. Not sure if this is to be expected, so I also e-mailed TRENDnet about it. Will update  this review when they reply to me.

Cons: speed. For pepople who needs faster speed, there are other units in reasonable price for higher speed.

Pros: easy to set up and much more stbale than the WIFI set up via the modem directly when in the basement
Comment:
the MAC in the basement can still pick up good signal from the modem on the 3rd floor but I purhcased a pair of these to ensure a more stable network. Almost plug and play and I never got another complaint about crashing.

Cons: none so far

Pros: Plug n play, very simple.dont have to run cable, great for weak points in your wireless coverage.
Comment:
Very simple solution to a wireless network with dead zones. Plug n Play no fuss. Software works and is simple as well. I get 103 Mbps streaming video on you tube to my tv through my wiring. Not bad atall.

Cons: not gigabit, has a tendency of dropping connection after a blackout, and have to replug the adapter to be connected again.

Pros: it works, does not boil eggs like the previous gen powerline adapters.
Comment:
I ended up removing the adapters and just hardwired to real gigabit.

Cons: None for now.

Pros: Good deal when on sale. Better than wifi in some case.
Comment:
I bought these on sale h35 bucks, so it's a pretty good deal to replace my wifi setup at some problematic spots in the house. The speed is decent for my purposes although reliability is dependant on the quality of wiring like another reviewer has noted.

Cons: -Speeds depends on electrical wiring

Pros: -Price on special-Easy to set up
Comment:
Price is good on special, fiability is better than wifi especially if you have a long stretch to cover. However this thing is very dependant on the quality of your house wiring, sadly mine is very old (most outlets don't even have ground) so speed is actually worse than wi-fi. However it doesn't seem to drop  connection. Short of running a cable (which I might end up doing) this is the only other solution.

Cons: Adapters generate a high-pitched noise/whine

Pros: Affordable, fast, reliable
Comment:
This unit maintains a much more stable connection compared to my old Wi-fi USB adapter. The function of the unit is flawless, but when it is plugged in, it creates a very annoying high-pitched whine. Even when the computer is off and when it goes into power-saving mode, the noises persist and I have to unplug it every night before going to sleep.

Cons: Performance can be affected by large home appliances running.

Pros: Small, works over a reasonable distance.
Comment:
Bought two kits of these for 4 adapters. Setup was really easy, plug in, takes a few seconds to sync. You can rotate the encryption keys through the sync button, or manually change them by installing the utility CD. Since I had 4 adapters, I could set up 1 adapter to a router/modem and 3 adapters to 'receive', or 2 adapters on one network and 2 adapters on another network. Both setups work fine, just make sure you hit the sync key if you're on 2 different networks for initial setup. Note the 200Mbps is the PHY rate, actual throughput about 40Mbps max. I got about 20Mbps when they were relatively close for testing, and about 10Mbps at two ends of the house. They're good enough for the purposes of my setup but if you want close to 100Mbps speeds you should buy the 500Mbps kit. I did notice performance can be affected when you have large appliances running, like microwaves, etc. However, this is better than wifi since 2.4GHz wifi got knocked out completely when the microwave was on and 5GHz cannot cover the distance I require.

Cons: none

Pros: Quick install, fast, stable
Comment:
Living in a three level townhouse, wireless coverage from the bottom floor (modem/router and desktop location) to the top floor was spotty and weak. So, I relocated the modem/router to the top floor and bought the TRENDnet power line adapters to keep my desktop computer connected, rather than adding a wi-fi card. Plugged everything in, powered up and that was it. No fuss, no muss and everything was working the same as if the computer was plugged directly into the router. Highly recommended, even better if you get it on sale.
