I bought a pair of these to get my basement PC on the net. I didn't want a wireless adapter as it's my main machine so I wanted good speeds. The entire basement is finished so running cables was out of the question.Once I got these, I was amazed at how easy they were to set up. I was up and running in a matter of minutes. I ran some speed tests and was getting the same as if I were direct into my router. That was a pleasant surprise indeed. The only downfall is that they do take up the entire outlet as you can't run these in a power bar or extension cord. They need to be direct in the outlet. Had i known that I probably would have opted for the version that has a built in outlet. This only becomes an issue if you are using it for a TV where there is only one outlet nearby. If you have more than one device you'll need to use a power-bar just for that one extra plug and let the Powerline have it's own. These performed so well that I decided to buy a third one for my bedroom so that I can plug in my TV as opposed to WiFi. There does seem to be a few network drops but I'm thinking it's my TV and not the adapter. I would recommend these to anyone that has a finished home that you can't easily run cables in.Great product.
