Mine "exploded" today. It shot fire out the back and I heard capacitors popping. I wasn't overloading it either. Single video card and about 5 or 6 hd's. Was watching a video while it happened. Computer was surge protected behind a UPS too.(The motherboard light stayed on until I unplugged it and I haven't checked to see if any of my other gear has been blown yet.)Not giving it a terrible rating just in case I was unlucky and received a bad one, although there are multiple reviewers on newegg complaining about this same model dying.

This PSU is starting to get a little long in the tooth, and yet remains very competitive against newer kilowatt PSUs at a very attractive pricepoint. I have my PSU powering a folding box that has a 9800GX2, a GTX9800+, a GTS 250 and a 9600GT. All told, that's a fair amount of power draw - but should be well within spec for this PSU. And indeed, the PSU has not had any difficulty powering the rig on a 24/7 basis.At first, I was quite concerned about the unit having only a single 80mm exhaust fan, when I am now accustomed to seeing 135mm and 140mm fans on 1000+ watt PSUs. But I am pleasantly surprised to report that the unit does not seem to get unusually hot compared to my other kilowatt PSUs. The cables are nicely sleeved, although Antec did not sleeve them into the enclosure, which means there is an inch or two of the ugly bare cables showing just as they exit the rear of the unit. This is a minor annoyance. The unit, of course, is semi-modular, which means that many cables are fixed (including the ATX, both CPU and 2 of the 4 PCIe cables). For the modular connections, the PSU comes with an abundance of cables including another 2 x 6-pin PCIe cables to complement the hardwired 6+2 PCIe cables. In my case, I needed to make use of a molex-to-PCIe adapter for the 9600GT, but there aren't many kilowatt PSUs outfitted for more than four PCIe connections.In terms of cable lengths, they are all very good. I did find the 8-pin CPU connector to be an inch or two shorter than I would have liked, as I had to run it straight up to the mobo's EPS header over my video cards. If I was more concerned about looks, I would have preferred to route this cable behind the mobo tray - but the length does not permit me to do this, and as a result an 8-pin extension would have to be purchased. Other than this, all the cable lengths are more than adequate.I should also note that the PSU comes with both an 8-pin CPU cable and a separate 4-pin CPU cable (as opposed to a 4+4 solution found on many PSUs these days) - which could come in handy for certain server-grade or upper-enthusiast level platforms. In terms of performance - the unit can only power a combined 840W on the 12v rails, which is actually rather low for a kilowatt PSU - most modern ones are upwards of 900W. This is important because most of today's power-hungry components (like GPUs) pull their power from the 12v rail. So considering the optimal efficiency range is in the 50-75% area, you should keep the 840W limit on the 12v rail in mind. Last thing I will mention is noise. While installing Windows and setting up the box, the unit remained extremely quiet. This is closer to what I would describe  as normal operation - and in these circumstances, that little 80mm fan was basically silent. When on full folding load, though, that little 80mm fan starts to kick up a fuss and is clearly audible over the rest of my system fans. Keep in mind - this is with the unit fully loaded, and I don't expect most people to encounter this state (and thus the associated noise) under normal circumstances.In sum, even though it's been around for a while - the Antec TPQ remains one of the better kilowatt options available. It's a little light on 12v rail and cooling compared to the competition - but then again, it is priced very attractively compared to the competition. Would definitely purchase again.

This thing will power anything you throw at it for the foreseeable future. Quality power, good reviews, can't really go wrong. Corsair isn't the only good brand of PSUs :)
