awesome potential, looks hard, tends to make quite fireworks in case containing thousands of dollars worth of elements. makes fairly fireworks in case containing thousands of dollars worth of components i've never ever had a solution fail so disasterously. this was beyond epic. i'd rather it just be DOA as an alternative of sparkin' up on my 轜MB. Thanks for practically nothing antec, actually. Now I'm without having a powersupply needing to write reports. I'm going to RMA this factor so hard. Manufacturer Response:Our understanding is that upgrading the BIOS need to resolve the issue but please verify with EVGA for the most accurate and up-to-date details.” And “Rest assured that, even although this is definitely not a fault of the PSU, we will replace any unit damaged by this issue.”

1200wattsVoltage handle on 12volt railsFan Manage (though speeds dont ramp up till last 20% of the turn of the knob haha)Has two 8pin CPU connections (one of which is a 4Ʋpin)Extremely Stable Cables (because of capacitors) are tougher to handle-this certainly isnt a PSU for a midtower case--unless you dont care about cable managementApparently other folks are possessing loads of difficulty? Perhaps I just got lucky I completely adore this power supply and the characteristics it has. It is unfortunate that other people are obtaining issues : / I completely suggest it.Runs my rig beautifully!Core i7-920 ʄ. RAM went effectively NeewEgg rocks they crossed chipped it overnight.I also ordered a 2nd a single and have it now as well.Triggered a breaker to flip initial round of testing/overclocking.Have them on 2 unique circuits now runing smoothly. This PSU is a beat I love them! Had one particular fail but I assume it was due to a faulty fan which then triggered a heat failure. Hopefully won't occur again. The fan and voltage controls are just plain addictive. Don't feel I will ever be delighted with another PSU.Got a Bitspower X-Station for PSU to manage 2nd PSU to run my 3x EVGA GTX 480SCs

Appears good, match genuinely effectively, and had tons of potential. Immediately after about 4 hours I heard fairly a strange zzzz followed by what sounded like a gunshot in my case. As I looked down all I observed was the 4th of July. Followed by that ominous smell of electronic death. I'm not confident specifically what went incorrect, I only had 1 video card, two ssd hds, a blu ray drive, and the five case fans. No exactly where near the power prospective it ought to have been able to attain.Asus P6X58D-E DEAD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131641&cm_re=asus_p6x58D-E-_-13-131-641-_-SolutionIntel six core three.2ghz DEAD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681911506624gigs of computer 1600 ram (lol strangely fine?) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104127two crucial sata 3 ssd's DEAD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148357LG Blu ray burner unknown http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136181PNY GeForce 570 DEAD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133370 Right after talking with Newegg staff I can return almost everything except the motherboard and ssd hd's. I haven't contacted Antec but to see if they will replace these parts. I'm extremely disappointed even though, even if they do. I went from feeling like a kid at Christmas to somebody who just got robbed. I got this energy supply along with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129100 as a bundle. Fortunate me I saved 30 dollars. To be critical though, I adore this case. I cant say adequate excellent items about it, incredibly spacious, simple cable management, great airflow, tons of drive bays, and so forth. But when it comes to energy, I feel I'd rather get a refund than a return.

Cons: A little noisy

Pros: More than enough power for your needs

I was replacing a Corsair HX1000w, and being a little larger, I wasnt suprised that it was louder as well, but not too bad. Construction is solid, and cables are nice and long for proper management. So far, its a great PSU, very happy with it.

1,200 watts. What else do you will need? Mine failed. Some cables had been not circulating any energy outage whatsoever! The wattage manage was nonfunctional as well, This power supply did not function. To verify this I took it to a computer repair shop, soon after my trial and error, and so they figured as much, and they were capable to confirm my fear. It is unfortunate that this rather stunning PSU did not make the reduce, im nonetheless wondering if it was mistreated during the shipment or If Antec sends repacked(return to sender) PSU's to other costumers.Sorry to say but it will only get 1 egg from me. Hopefully this critique will persuade you into acquiring a distinct brand or make of PSU.

-Modular cabling often a plus.-Inline capacitors support to filter out power fluctuations.-A lot of juice to run all 6 HDDs and three-Way SLI + total scale liquid cooling deployment.-Quite stable and incredibly reliable when OC'd. -The stepless fan control is a little touchy. Goes from becoming inaudible to sounding like a jet engine around 75% speed. Granted, it moves A LOT of air at total speed, so noise is expected.-It would be great to have a rocker switch to kill the power when needed. A note to customers like James: It under no circumstances hurts to test a PSU by jumping pins four and six before you mount it in your create.Another note to customers like James: Unless you've got some intense reports to create, 1200 Watts of Pure Brilliant and a 轜 motherboard just could be additional than you will need.

Cons: I have enough cables left over so I could probably make eggs with it too, so none.

Pros: It's indeed a monster, powers my sli 680 setup no problem. Tonnes of cables to spare. Best in a full tower, or server of course. At $138 dollars on super sale with shipping, will have a heck of a time getting a better deal.
Comment:
Would definitely buy more then one at this price. Sadly 1 per customer. Get it while it's hot.

Cons: Thin sleeving, no power switch

Pros: High output, quiet, lots of cable options
Comment:
Looks great, matches any ROG motherboard well. The cables are a good length and are very thick. Not the best sleeving, they don't go all the way to the ends of the cables.Good reliable power supply should keep your parts running for a long time.

Can make the rails a stable 12V with the voltage knobCan run the fan at 100% with the fan knob Blew up working with a single CPU and three GPUs when it says it can handle four GPUs. No it can't.Gotta have two of these to deal with 1 CPU and 4 GPUs. This PSU can handle a single CPU and 2 GPUs thats it.My initially RMA on NewEgg hope it goes well. Will wait to obtain the second one once the RMA is accomplished. Crazy me receiving 2 but I really like the voltage knob manage I am hooked.

Cons: Fan is a little loud at high loads

Pros: High wattage power supply capable of powering most enthusiasts needs
Comment:
Picked this up on sale for $189.99 to use with my Crosshair IV Extreme and AMD 1090T Phenom 2 X6. Very thick main cable that powers this beast. High quality connectors for motherboard and lots of 6/8 Pin connectors for graphics cards. One curious thing i discovered that there is no power switch on the back of unit, just a green led that lights up when plugged in. Very happy with quality of product on would recommend for anyone that is wanting to build a enthusiast system with lots of upgrade options.

Cons: Fan is a touch loud at full blast.Price.

Pros: 1200w will power any rig you could dream up.Fantastic looking power supply.Fan speed control.
Comment:
I've run this power supply for over a year in my oc'd quad core/crossfire dual loop water cooled rig and I would still have to say this beast is overkill for my setup. Anyone that has had Quattros in the past will know of the quality Antec brings to the table.

You have a rock solid 1200w power supply with adjustable 12v for benching session. Ive seens people loading this PSU with ~1500w and the unit was still able to feed it.

Cons: Will update.

Pros: Stable, no issues with fully loaded system.
Comment:
Will update  once I replace current unit with faultiy PWM controller. As is, the fan is way to loud, and I suspect at heavy loads, with an 80mm fan, you'd expect to hear what I'm hearing now. This review was modfied by poster @ 05-17-10 04:21 PM
