Has fairly lights Purchased this energy provide with a combo deal and when I went to install it, it powered up for 2 minutes then entirely died. Doing an RMA now hoping that the second one particular they send me operates longer than the 1st a single. Heard of persons acquiring DOAs, and it looks like I got one. If you're thinking about obtaining this energy supply, may well want to appear at ones that customers aren't saying come DOA otherwise you could be out บ shipping.

As always, this is a Thermaltake PSU, so it's of wonderful good quality. This is from their Toughpower XT line, which is 1 of their highest excellent model brands. The price tag is suitable, of course. 赘.99 at present. 875 W is a excellent amount of headroom for SLI/Crossfire setups. Also this is modular which is excellent. It has ample Amperage, 72 amps on the key 12v rail. There's only a single 12V rail so you don't have to worry about power balancing when you do a number of GPU setups. 4 PCI-E connectors ƒ 6 pins and two sixư pins). The size of the PSU is surprisingly small provided its power output, most probably due to the fact it has only a single 12V rail. Genuinely developed to be installed in the leading of a case, but can infact be installed at the bottom of a case, it would be sensible to make positive the bottom set up case has an exhaust fan correct beneath the PSU though, check out the Thermaltake Spedo. This has practically nothing to do with Thermaltake, but in truth the all round style of the PSU which just about every manufacturer utilized on many of their PSUs. I don't like single 12V rails. Certain, it's easier mainly because you don't have to balance energy hungry hardware over many lines, but in a design scheme, it's still a lot of energy to trail down one rail. All that anxiety on a single rail, which is a single point of achievement or failure, can degrade your efficiency over time. So though this unit is really energy efficient now, it May degrade right after 3 or four years. All PSUs do certainly degrade, but I have a 700 W TT Toughpower PSU with 4 rails, still operating at 90% efficiency and output. Very same as day 1 think it or not. Also, modular cables sound wonderful, but be cautious, as any time of cord damage or stray material in the input socket (dust, and so forth) WILL lead to issues. Maintain your input sockets clean and dust them routinely. Just energy down the PSU, unplug, clean, and hook it all back up. Wonderful Wattage/Amperage headroom, and because of its efficiency you can effortlessly run a technique with Dual HD 5870s, a core i7 1366, Several HD/SSD, fans, coolers, LED lights, etc.The highest estimates of power consumption by these days's highend goods will nonetheless have breathing area in this child. 130 W for i7, and 550 W employed by two HD 5870s will be your biggest power munchers and you nevertheless will have 200 W left over which is ideal. Right after the rest of you gear is in, you'll be floating around 750몸 W. These are all incredibly higher end estimates, your likely to be working with 650 Watts. So you have area to Overclock if you want. The bronze Certification implies this is "power effective". This is a gimmick. It implies it's very good for the environment, like an energy star rating on a Television. Even w/o that certification I assure you this unit will have fairly some longevity regardless. Don't go obtaining "GOLD" certifications thinking you'll get additional out of the unit, it's not accurate. You'' be fine with this.

Excellent price tag with combo and rebate. Fantastic evaluations on this new model style and characteristics. Initial one worked for 1 hour then died. The replacement is functioning now 24 hours and appears to be ok. I have the 775w version which worked fine out of the box but the 875w version did die right after 1 hour. luckly no other components of my laptop died with it.I took off 1 egg for the first dead PSU.

Its SLI Certified. Modular and its 875 watts. I purchased this to run my 470 GTX’s and immediately after some study I discovered out it could handle the 470’s so I got it with the combo deal to attempt and conserve some dollars. Well it’s my fault for not searching into the description, but it comes with two cables that are 6ư ends and 2 cables that are 8 pin ends. My cards demand 4, six pin inputs. So I guess I will have to acquire two much more cables. Appear at other reviews just before you choose. I have only identified a handful of people that got DOA PSU’s. Perhaps I really should have went with a 1000w. But im not going to take away an egg just simply because I wanted to conserve ๖.

Modular style. Significant fan. I am somewhat skeptical about evaluations from time to time, particularly some of the negative ones. Nevertheless, I now have my personal negative overview to post. Purchased this item on August 23, 2010. Worked good----till yesterday when I turned my computer system on and soon after about three minutes, the computer system shut off and I smelled burned electrical components. The laptop or computer would not start out up even though the power lights on the MB were nonetheless on. I swapped out the energy supply for my old Corsair 450VX and it fired correct up. What gets me is it failed specifically one particular week right after the 30 days were up for returns to Newegg. Now I have to RMA it to Thermaltake. I'll be down for at least a couple of weeks. Thanks Newegg and Thermaltake. Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer,We at Thermaltake apologize for the inconvenience this may possibly have brought on you. Please speak to ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com for warranty service guidelines. Best regards, Thermaltake USA Customer Service

Has 3 tiny lights on the side, which are for;standbyPG signalTemperaturethe unit is modular. Only the 24pin power cable and the 8 pin 12V ATX cable are hard wired. This unit is developed to be installed in the best of a case. When you hold it upright so that all the lettering is suitable side up, and you can see these three lights - the fan is on the bottom. It can be turned more than, so that cooling operates appropriately, but then it looks odd, and you can't see those three lights. Plus the tough wired power cables get in the way a bit additional. That's why it lost an egg from me. I asked Thermaltake if there is a various model number for bottom mounting, and the answer was: "This is up to the design of chassis to make the PSU fan point up or down. It also casue the three LEDs be seem from the side or not."This unit did not come with a soft plastic sleeve (which mounts among the unit and the case). I purchased a 750 Watt Thermaltake recently which did have this. I wish the Power Supply producers would get together and agree on the cabling of the connectors. Though any SATA cable will connect appropriately to any SATA drive, on the other end of the cable they vary according to manufacturer. IE you can't use a Thermaltake modular SATA cable on a SilverStone unit, or a Corsair. In fact I believe all the producers have their own distinctive arrangement.

When I first opened the box and hooked this sucker up it produced a hissing noise for pretty much a day like other men and women stated it would. BUT THIS IS Typical AND OK FOR A NEW PSU. I left my Pc on for a full 2 days simply because I was at function carrying out a crazy shift and away from the residence. When i came back, the noise was gone. Ran excellent Day 1, ran wonderful Day three, runs good now.Well priced, modest, modular, efficient, great rating, and most crucial: Reliable.Thermaltake doesn't get enough credit by significant critique web-sites and Computer Hardware Assessment enthusiasts and websites.I've been using TT PSUs for almost a decade and they've in no way ever ever let me down and continue to impress me.My final 700W non-modular 4x12V rail (which several say is a no-no) TT PSU lasted me five years untill I decided to create a new Pc. I nevertheless use the old Pc and that PSU still runs wonderful. It's been nearly 6 months with this 1, and it runs wonderful! The bottom line is this: If a PSU tends to make a hissing noise and it's five-6 years old then it's telling you it's about to die.If a PSU tends to make a hissing noise and it's much less than a week old, it's telling you it's breaking in it's new shoes. It all runs devoid of a hitch, thanks to this PSU.

Lots of cables. When I bought it there was a rebate provided. No one bothered to mention that Thermaltake tends to make you submit them 20 days after Purchase rather of the usual common 30 days. This good little trick I'm confident pays them effectively to employ. I typically have liked NewEgg but they wouldn't do something. While clearly not THEIR policy it is their web site and they promote the item with the cost Right after rebate. Maybe they ought to put in big letters, "REMEMBER FOLKS THERMALTAKE WILL Try TO TRICK/CHEAT YOU ON THE REBATE BY NOT FOLLOWING Typical TIME FRAMES SO SEND IT IN Quickly." Manufacturer Response:Doc, All the rebates are handled by an independent 3rd party business, not by Thermaltake directly. In your case, the rebate is handled by WorldWide Rebates. Thermaltake has no control over their operating protocols. Please make contact with assistance so we can support you with this concern at ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com Thermaltake Consumer Service
