Cons: Not very portableA bit pricey but still worth it

Pros: Surround actually worksInline volume control
Comment:
This ends up replacing my speakers 99% of the time as I live in an apartment.Installation was quick and easy.Although... mine did have some plastic debris stuck in the G9-to-analog connector, so one of the surround speakers didn't work, but that was a quick fix... (good'ol 8bit-nitendo-style blow in the connector)Inline volume control for the mic, is a great feature as you don't have to go back to some config panel whenever someone can't hear you loud enough.

Great sound quality, the mic attatchment is extremely loose and has quit working. I've had to plug a xbox360 headset into it in order to talk. After about 3 months the mic has quit.

This is a very nice set. But you MUST spend about 10 min setting it up, otherwise the sound will be horrible. On my x-fi card, I had to turn the gain down to 50%. Set your crossover appropriately for bass to be directed to sub during music. If you don't do this, it will sound like the speakers are blown. Very good sound positioning. I was using a TB x4 for xbox, and it is much better. And cheaper. Awesome headset!

Great product, first set of phones in many years that are comfortable and for serious playtime. Only bug is the little clip for hanging wire from shirt or jacket - the part the keeps wire hugging the clip is cheap and lasted less than 30 days, but this is an extremely minor issue. The sound setting takes some trial and error, but once you find the sweet spot, its truly a fantastic sound - I couple this with a newer creative sound card and it sounds as good as my Bose speakers.

Cons: Would only get them on sale.

Pros: Sturdy; easily accessible controls; good sound quality.
Comment:
I haven't tested the surround yet, but the sound quality is pretty good (though the bass needs some tweaking). Overall they feel sturdy and well built. Would recommend, if they're on sale again.

Cons: The long cord is a plus but it can also be a burden getting caught up/under things if you don't have it tied up.

Pros: Great sound quality,Comfortable, Long cord,No drivers to install.
Comment:
I mainly use them for gaming and occasionally music. They work great for gaming because of the directional sound, When playing games I can clearly make out which way the sounds are coming from. And I have no complaints about music quality, they clearly play bass and sound great all around. Highly recommended especially if they are on sale.

Despite the hefty costs, this is probably the best set I've bought, I've tried about a dozen others and this comes out on top in terms of audio quality and comfort, the weight isn't that big of a deal and these do look pretty damn slick, matches my g15 perfectly :)!

These are killer headphones. The 5.1 Surround sound is a must have once you hear it. They are not too expensive and work great.

Cons: Cost alot.Heavy and take getting used to.Boom mike is NOT flexable and although it works great it is just waiting to break off.May look quite dorky to adults.

Pros: Great sound and 5.1 effect, can be set up using in line volume control.Really long cable included so no problems reaching back of computer.Kids think they look really cool.
Comment:
Good sound and work with old digital amp unit from AX360,which these replaced.using included analogue amp provides plenty of volume and sounds much better than AX360 in all uses.Volume can be adjusted conviently using cable mounted control on the fly, including Mike Volume. The only problems were weight, boom mike is not flexable and waiting to break off and absolutely transparent to room sounds using original ear cushins, but an alternate set is included that is a little more isolating. However forget about going to your happy place like in a set of cans or noise canceling phones.

First, if you are going to get theas headphones then you will nead a dedicated sound card. Built in sound is nothing compared to a dedicated sound card. Theas headphones are so amazing. Everything is so much clearer and gaming is amazing. If you want the best posible in a headset then get this headset.

Sound is great, price is high but worth it. They seem a little big at first but they dont feel big when there on. If your tired of buying cheap headsets every year get these, ive only had them for a few months now but they are made to last.

The sound quality is improved compared to my cheap Sennheisers... I'm just disappointed on the durability of the product. My mic attachment is very lose since the little plastic security lock thing broke off, it was inevitable, and I knew it would the day I saw it. And there is no power button for the headphones, u'll have to unplug the power adapter every night. The controller randomly heats up, and it's not from keeping it on, it's random. It is comfortable and has improved my gaming experience, but it's a little too expensive.

This is the second pair of Tritton AX51's that I've owned. I had to get a RA number on the first pair. These headsets seem to be well built except for the on/off switch which broke ofter a week of use. The sound is awesome. They can also be worn for long sessions. I can't say this for the Razer Piranhas they replaced.

Cons: Can be difficult to distinguish the different audio channels.

Pros: Good overall.

At first when I tried out these headphones I was not very impressed with the bass, but after I enabled bass management with my Realtek HD onboard audio and increased the db for the bass it made me think the complete opposite. I was much more impressed. They did need a little tweaking to get out the full potential and I'm glad that I didn't feel like I just wasted $100. On a side note I noticed in the AXPro reviews that people said that there was no way of turning the headphones off. I don't think the AX51 is much different aside from not having the decoder box, but if you press in the Mute and Front button at the same time and hold for a few seconds they do turn off.

These headphones are the greatest. I used to have a pair of Razor Barracudas. They were pretty good for a while and then they would start hurting my head. These headphones are very comfortable and the sound is AMAZING. I would recommend these to the president himself :)

price is a lil steep but i guess a good headset is expensive..the sound is nice.. alot of ppl are saying they dont have bass but u have to mess w the setting cause when you first plug them in they dont, but once you set them up they rock!! very crisp n nice highs, n mids, n good bass, they look bulky but they are but they are not heavy at all.. you can hardly tell you are wearing them.. SWARE!!. they analog box gets a lil warm for just a volume changing box. but overall a great headset. im sure if i had a better soundcard besides my realtek onboard they would even sound better but im happy w my onboard!! the surround sound is awesome!! its not emulated its REAL SURROUND SOUND like having a system being held over your head!! lol so ya buy em!!!

I order this unit Because the Tritton AX 51 Pro worked so good. The mic is real good. I order the AX PC Pro to use on my laptop. It did not work Right at all. The Mic did no work, and the back speakers only worked on the Laptop. Not the Hedset's fault. The laptop sound system I have Only runs two speaker's. I will use it on the next Computer. If they work as well, I will have to give them 5 stars. Be sure Your system Has 5.1 output.

These impreseed me right away with their looks and build quality, they feel very solid and not flimsy or cheap at all. The detachable mic works great, goes in and out easily and locks into place nicely. One important thing I would like to address is the bass, I read several reviews where people claimed that these have no bass. All of those reviews are made by ppl who either do not have a soundcard or do not have their audio set properly. These are a 6 channel headset, meaning they have subwoofers with their own channel. When listening to a stereo music track it is going over the green jack and does not send any info to the subwoofers, hence why you have no bass. When you use the expanded stereo and bass crossover options in your sound card control panel, you will expand the stereo track to 5.1 and actually send the bass to the subwoofers, and once setup properly these sound amazing!

Great headset. Use it for COD WAW and it is terrific. Quality is very good. True 5.1 Surround Sound and has a inline puck for volume adjustment, mic adjustment and can individually adjust front, rear, center and sub channel volumes. had them for about a month now. They are a little warm to wear, full coverage with just the right amount of outside sound. Very comfortable. Mic works very well and can swivel out of the way. Highly Recommended!
