I bought this to replace the fan in my heatsink tower which was wearing out. It works great. As the pros / cons say, it's quite when slow and modestly noisy when fast. Since I don't overclock, I run it at the slowest setting and in combination with my cpu cooling tower it works fine.

Bought it to replace dieing fan in my Dimension 8100. It's been making the loudest noise for 8 years. Finally someone in Amazon recommended this. Bought and Replaced the fan. Loving it.Dell used a proprietary 3-pin motherboard connector for the fan. When the fan starts going out, it gets really loud, but the part is out of stock. Disconnecting the stock fan from the motherboard means that on every boot, you get a beep and have to hit "F1" to bypass the missing fan. Antec to the rescue. This fan (TriCool 92mm) ships with a 3-pin connector and a Y-adapter. The Y-Adapter allows you to get power from a large power-supply socket, like the kind a hard drive uses. The other branch of the adapter goes to a 3-pin connector with a white fan sense pin. To use this fan to replace the Dell Dimension 8100 fan: * Disconnect the existing CPU fan from the motherboard, noting which pin is connected to the white wire. This is the fan sense pin. * Using pliers, carefully remove the plastic sheath on the motherboard fan pins. * Using the Y-adapter, connect the Antec to a power supply socket. * Using other branch of the cable, with the white wire to a 3-pin plug, connect ONLY the wired pin to the fan sense pin on the motherboard.

A fan is a fan is a fan, can't say much except that it works lol. Decent airflow for a cheap fan. keeps my harddrives cool. The clear look also fits nicely inside my black and white case.

Bought this fan for my HP Pavilion m9505f, as the rear fan (a Foxxcon) didn't shift air well at all.My board (An Asus/pegatron "Benicia" series board with the usual crippled HP bios) seems to have fan-speed control locked on at the 3-pin fan headers, so I had to use the Molex Adaptor to get the fan spinning at its full 2000 RPM, but once that small problam was solved I saw an immediate improvement in ariflow and cooling, and it's no louder than the original fan (which ran at ~1400rpm off the MB header).I highly recommend this fan. got is for Shuttle K45.With airflow out of the case CPU and system temperature dropped 8-10degrees,with airflow into the casegot another 2 degrees temp decrees.Unfortunately when the fan screwed to blow into the case it prodices more noise as well. Still for small case like Shuttle such a simple part gives critical benefit of stable cool system.Great effect per dollar.

Great fans, push a lot of air, quiet. I am not a fan of the 'clear' look, I'd rather black, but oh well. The cabling has the 4 pin adapter which I don't really like either but not a huge deal.

Decent fans, you get what you pay for. Not over quiet but not overly loud either. Airflow is a little low but that's what you get for the noise level and price.

Picked up 2 for the new Sonata 550. One with a black switch, the other white. Latter has DBB written on the coil plate and was quieter. Regardless, on medium they're satisfactory. 2-92mm = 1-120mm for airflow at each speed.

Works very well cooling my CPU with Ultima-90 heatsink. Besides, the 3 speed setting is a useful feature. You do hear it at high, however I've got it set lower most of the time. Recommended.
