Pros: price, Verbatim brand
Comment:
Great price for Verbatim. Media code is still CMC MAG AM3. made in Taiwan (CMC Magnetics Corp). Only burnt a few so far using faster speed & no errors. Previous used the TY True Blue 100 spindles.According to Verbatim's website - uses AZO ink even on this value line.http://www.verbatim.com/prod/optical-media/dvd/dvd-recordable/dvd-dash-r-shiny-silver-sku-97281/

Pros: Excellent price; good quality
Comment:
Verbatim's VX Value series is attractvely priced, and offers 50 good quality discs in a no-stack ring. If you need recordable media for a good price this is a no-brainer; buy this product.

They are DVD what do you want more. They do the job and I like the silver finish on it. I use a sharpie and it looks good.

Cons: Plain, reflective silver top (instead of matte surface) so labelling (ie with suitable marker) could be difficult to read.

Pros: Good value on sale.
Comment:
Good utilitarian DVD's for backing up data, shrinking video DVD's etc. I'd restock on these especially if they're on sale.

Cons: Specialized top surface.

Pros: Haven't tried burning them yet.
Comment:
The "shiney silver top", if you don't know, is the same fragile sticky surface found on the cheapest no-name discs.Buy these ONLY if you will use adhesive labels.I haven't tried burning them yet.

Cons: none.

Pros: Currently the best deal on dvd-r's. 50 burned at 8x, 16x and 18x all verified with 100% sucessful burns.
Comment:
I don't know why they are called Tru Blu, they are Verbatim DVDs with the media code CMC MAG. AM3. They burn at 18x no problem.Using the "Optimal Write Speed" feature of my burner, it chooses to burn them at 8x.I have more failures with Taio Yuden 8x dvd-r's than I do with these at 18x. Very good product for a very good price.
