Cons: A bunch of default shares you can't remove

Pros: Decent performing 4 Bay NAS
Comment:
Good Performing NAS used for hosting Virtual Machines with XenServer.Works great, the UI feels more polished than other brands I've used and responds quicker.Setup was pretty easy overall to replace my existing VM NAS.NAS supports ethernet failover for high availability.Comes with a bunch of apps that I have no use for, and no obvious way to remove them (although I didn't look that hard)If I needed another one for another purpose, I wouldn't hesitate to look this way again.

use to store family pictures, movies, documents, music. with mycloud, you can access your NAS from anywhere using IPAD at home or at work. easy to stream movies to the PS3.recommend to use WD Caviar Red for the NAS.

Cons: - WiFi limits transfer speeds

Pros: - JBOD- Raid
Comment:
The unit is great however in order to make sure of high speed data transfer, you really need to reconsider the pipe/network infrastructure of your home network. Worth it only if you have Gigabit LAN and need centralized storage system. Otherwise, get a 3.5" Hard Drive and a cheap USB Enclosure instead.

Cons: Need to use Qnap Finder to configure 1st time.Need HDs installed to put QNAP OS

Pros: Supports most SATA drivesGreat speedEase of configurationQuiet
Comment:
Overall this NAS is great it does everything that is listed at great speeds. Ensure to always keep the OS up-to-date. The RAID migration tool worked flawlessly I went from RAID 1 to RAID 5 no problem without any dataloss.
