It's built well and it's reassuring to know that it should support larger drives in the future (I only have a 250GB in there at the moment). eSATA operation is little confusing for me so I haven't got that working with my computers, but USB2.0 works fine (trust me, I've tried USB for power and even own a separate eSATA cable, but no dice - in any case, it's not nearly as convenient as USB2.0 even if it does get working). The case itself includes a pouch, but this doesn't help the fact that it just doesn't sit well on a table-top - whether in the case or not, a swipe across the table will send this thing flying off. Finally, perhaps my expectations are a little high, but even older IDE enclosures I've had would at least screw down the HDD to the PCB, but in this one, the PCB is just long enough to clip on and then... nothing. The connector is angle in such a way that the opposite edge of the HDD will touch the inside of the case, but essentially, it's floating around inside (I bought 2 of these and it's clearly designed to be like this). Strange.
