Smaller, straightforward to install drive. Sturdy plastic. Blue HD activity LED is not too bright. Only lasted 15 months of quite light usage ahead of intermittently dropping the USB hyperlink. Verified this failure across three computer systems running a variety of flavors of Windows and 1 Mint Linux box. The 120GB Samsung HD I had installed functions fine with a USB adapter. Purchase some thing else if you want it to final. |

Modest, good looking drive enclosure. Just plug the drive into the case and plug the cable into your laptop. Instantly recognized, fast data transfer, and quiet. I in fact like the short cable. I have as well quite a few wires currently. I had to use the CD to come across guidelines to open the case. That really should have been in the printed instruction booklet. Mine doesn't have a LED - or it doesn't operate. I got the package ahead of I even got the e-mail that it shipped. That's rapidly. |

Slimmer than most, very good searching in particular person, sturdy and comes with carrying pouch. None to think of. After more than two years of heavy use this case is nonetheless kicking. Functions without having a hitch in XP, Vista, 7, Blu-ray players, everything. |

Works without drivers, but so does fairly significantly each other enclosure. I've got a bevy of the Transcend's metal enclosures. I wasn't paying focus and thought this was the black of the series. It is inexpensive plastic. Also, the single screw was so tight I stripped it attempting to loosen it. If is this is the new common, I'm going to stock up on the metal ones though they're nonetheless available |

Modest. At initially I believed I was sent the incorrect item. It's so small it didn't appear like a two.5 SATA drive would fit.Quiet. PS3 recognized it promptly.I located a custom FAT32 file program that allowed me to bypass the 32GB limitation of FAT32. So I can use the entire drive as one particular partition. No problems there. The directions did not match the item. I had to go on the web to Transcend's site to discover the proper manual. Sony does not permit you to back up person film and video files from PSN. You have to do a full backup of the whole program. (You can backup individual game saves and non-PSN video files.) So I sent Sony a scathing e-mail complaining about the lack of backup selections. Hopefully that will alter in the future. |

Did precisely what I wanted it to do. Replaced original PS3 hard drive and utilized this for the 60 gig challenging drive not becoming employed anymore. None really. A small slow compared to say a WD Passport but all in all it is fine. Are you upgrading an older PS3 tough drive? You can nonetheless use this for the old 1. Simple to put together and recognized with no complications in Vista. Even worked with my JVC car stereo with USB input for mp3's and divx video. |

Excellent SATA Enclosure High quality,cost and overall apearence looks better in individual. Compleatly satisfied better then expected top quality. Don't hesitate obtain this drive! You will be glad you did! None what so ever! I upgrades my 100 Gig 7200 rpm HD on my Dell XPS 1710 Laptop to a 200 Gig 7200 RPM HD. I was concerned about a enclosure haveing enough to power a 7200 rpm HD with just USB power. To my surprize I pluged my 100 Gig 7200 HD into the enclosure pluged it in and windows XP Media Center reconized (BAM) appropriate away not 1 concern and it runs on the 1 USB plug. I can't coment on the back-up software program as I never instaled it. Buy this drive it is best noch! |

Utilized this with my old 160GB drive that came with my MacBook Unibody. Worked like a charm. Nice style, and nice chipset. Speeds aren't limited like some other external enclosures. The USB cord is brief, but it is expected. You can generally use one more USB to Mini-USB cord from yet another device. The screw that comes with the drive is fairly inexpensive, but so are most screws with this kind of equipment. Absolutely nothing that would maintain me from getting once again or rating this item at five stars. Newegg Rocks! |
